Even the ceiling is dressed to the nines. An ornate chandelier glows and reflects across the entire room. A bowl of punch and other various refreshments can be found on the tables and there are chairs enough to seat a few dozen. A phonograph sits silently in the corner.

A dark-haired, motherly-shaped woman in a velvety sapphire dress slips in a side door and scans the room to ensure she is alone. Finding the room all to her satisfaction, Mrs. Peacock gazes for several minutes at the silent chandelier that hangs glistening from the ceiling. The twinkling lights seem to encourage the confidence of her troubled soul and she whispers:
"The sea, a snake, beryllium too, These are some things that brandish my hue, Peaceful I can be, yet envious, true; Careful! This clue is made to trick you."
Steps sound somewhere in the hall outside, and quick as a fish she vanishes again.

Lady Camden enters, several records tucked under her arm. She approaches the phonograph and puts a record onto the turntable. The record begins to rotate and music fills the room.

A girl quietly walks into the ballroom This place is fabulous, Eliana, she says to herself.she waltzes around to the music for a few moments. I should really investigate the mystery, though, she says and scurries around the room, looking for clues.
