Myah is a supporting character I'd like to get to know better.

She is a Gaurdian, meaning she's supposed to protect the gifted persons while going on missions for the Almighty. Both Gaurdians and Messengers begin training at a very young age, usually between three and five.

She's fourteen now, and already has been doing fieldwork with her partner for several years.

Did Myah have a troubled or happy past? What happened to make it that way?

Does she like her partner, or is it more of a grudging relationship? Why?

Do you enjoy working with people? What weapons or skills do you use to accomplish your missions?

What does Myah think I'd being a Guardian? Why did her parents choose to make her one? Does she have any relatives or friends? What is she afraid of?

She had a happy past, even though she was given to the service by her parents when she was only three. She met an older girl during her early years in training which made her child life something she thinks upon fondly.

She does like her partner, but just as a fellow servant of the Almighty. There's nothing romantic between them. She enjoys his company because he's kind and chivalrous.

I do enjoy working with people, but I also like time alone sometimes.

I use twin knives, but I haven't had to draw them very often during missions. I generally use my brain to get us out of sticky situations, and Rafos is pretty ingenious as well.

She enjoys it. It makes her feel that she has a purpose. Kind of like she's doing something worthwhile.

Her parents saw that even as a baby, she was quite special when it came to thinking. She was also a very athletic child, and her father is in the service.

Many of her relatives are in the army, especially the male ones. , so she doesn't know them very well. Yes, the Gaurdians and Messengers are a closely-knit community, so she has a lot of friends within that group.

Lady Abigail Mimetes wrote:

She's afraid of something happening to her friends or family, and of failing to complete the duty bestowed on her.

What frustrates her most in the world?

How long has it been since she has cried? Why?

Who is the person she is closest to?

Is she above or below average in competency among the Guardians and Messengers? What does she think about it?

Definitely injustice, which is one reason why she wanted to be a guardian.

Quite a while. Probably ten years or more. The last time was when she was homesick as a little girl. She is somewhat frightened of showing vulnerability, partly because she's the youngest member doing active work, and she wants to appear tough and capable.

Fathe, the older woman who befriended her when she was frightened and lonely.

Far above even at her young age. That's why her team was one of those chosen for the vital mission of collecting the Gifted children.

Is there a part of being a Guardian that she doesn't enjoy (even if she's willing to do it)? Is there any part of "normal" life that appeals to her (even if she's willing to give it up)?

Does she see herself "retiring" someday? What would she like to do then?

Yes, she would have liked to be with her family and be a "normal" teenage girl. Even so, her sense of duty allows no regret.

She does. Most of those serving as Guardians or Messengers stay in service for at least twenty years. Training is included in this time
