If this is the wrong thread, sorry. I'd appreciate it if someone could move it if it is, though.

I was just wondering if there is such a thing as a computer program that works as a Wiki or something similar to it.

The reason I ask is because I have a centralized database in a Microsoft Word document for pretty much everything fictional (My works, other works) which covers a vast amount of content (People, vessels, planets, weapons, timelines, etc.) and I had a random thought, which was "This would be much more easier to navigate and sort through if it was formatted like a Wiki rather than in a .docx."

I know this is a long shot, but in this day and age, who knows, right?

So, if anyone can help, that'd be great. Thanks.

I do not believe there is such a thing as an app you can use on your computer (but I might be wrong): however I am also fairly certain that anyone who likes can use something-or-other to make their own private wikis, and I think they can be set as more or less private by the maker, and such. I haven't done much research into it, because I never came into a direct need for that sort of thing. Here's a link that should tell you about it though.... How To Create a Wiki Is that any help?

Thanks, Mistress Rwebhu.

So it sounds like the TiddlyWiki would be more suited for my purposes, and I would be able to keep that completely private, right? Just for my use?

Uhh...You wouldn't happen to know how to put pictures into tiddlers, right? (Tiddlers are the 'pages' of the TiddlyWiki)

Here, would this help? It talks about images a little way down the page.

Hmm...For some reason, whenever I do that, it just shows up as linked text, and doesn't show the picture itself. I can open it in a new tab and it'll show me the picture, but it won't show up as a picture within the wiki.

Oh, well. Thanks anyway.
