Cory: Howdy.

Gail: [Angles his sword to deflect the attack, and steps back a few paces] You are quick to react.

Mordir: Alright, if he can survive this long blind, how long can he survive when he can see?

Gail: Probably less. My eyes would be all over the place. Now, I don't have to use so many senses.

Mordir: Ooookay... I don't think I'll ever understand you.

Gail: You don't have to.

CHase: Is dodgeball still going on? Or are is it over?

Cory: I'm guessing it's probably over.

Chase: Who won?

Me: Last I saw, it was tied.

Tynx: Now what?

Me: Now Seymour and Lorielle can come back. Jek, Hakor, you two can leave. I need to keep the character level down.

Hakor and Jek: [Waves good-bye and leave]

Me: Have at it, S.

Sonderen: *eyes narrow, and he spreads his long fingers. Flickers of lightning appear between them. The red ball flies above his head and bounces off the wall. The blue and purple balls come directly toward him, but they get caught on the lightning in his hands. He flings them toward Cory and Ethan without missing a beat. Moving incredibly fast now, he leaps off the ground as the orange and silver balls go under him and bounce in different directions. He intercepts the yellow ball with his lightning, holding it captive. The sea ball gets caught as well and begins spinning. He brings the two together and deflects the green ball with them, then the yellow ball and the sea ball are both spinning. With a single quick motion, he hurls them into the air where they meld together and then disappear. They melt into sight at the far corners of the room.*

Arionwyn:

Sonderen: Oh. *sits down*

Kian: Wow wow wow wow wow wow!!! Can I have power like that? Can I?? That was so cool and I wanna see it again!! Did we just win the game?! Sweet!! That was totally so sweet and I want powers like that and --

Mya: *steps out of her corner and claps a hand over his mouth from behind*

Aaron: I didn't know he had powers like that. Is he a Rider?

Me: I'm considering it.

Aaron: Sweet.

Shawn:

Jay: *whistles* Wow. That was astonishing. Wow.

Shawn:

Me: Cool.

Syleh: That was beautiful.

Me: Woah. A compliment

Syleh: Yes. Is that so surprising?

Me: very impressive. Now what do we do with the dodgeball game?

Telvia: I don't want to leave!!!

Me: stop whining.

Jathan: I know, why don't you write our story for nanowrimo?

Me: Where did you hear about Nanowrimo?

Jathan: Telvia.

Me: and where did you- oh wait, you're the one who escaped. *sigh*

Me: I would hate to stop the game when it's tied, but it seems most people are no longer concerned about it.

Griffin: Forget dodgeball, I want someone to duel. Other than Ravork, I duel him all the time.

Me: What!! You did what?!

Griffin: Oh, don't worry, we probably won't kill each other.

Me: Probably!! No more dueling with anyone that's trying to kill you. At least not Ravork, anyway, other people are OK, they won't kill you.

Griffin:

Aarin: I'll fight you, Griffen.

Eorina: Aarin!

Aarin: Hey, Eorina, it'll be alright! He's not going to kill me, even if I lose, and that won't happen. k?

Eorina: ::sobs:: A-alright.

Me: Awwwwww.

Aarin: :glares at me:

Me: Wh-at?

Aarin: It's not my fault I've got an overdramatic sister.

Blank: She takes after you in all other ways, I think it is.

Aarin: ::draws sword::

Me: Guys! Why do you two always have to argue! You've only been here for what, three posts? Be nice for one, please???

Aarin and Blank: ::silence::

Eorina: I guess that never occured to them.

Blank: Obviously, 'Rina.

::Eorina grins and runs off::

Me: Since when did you have a pet name for her?

Blank: Since now.

Me: Hmph.

Griffin: Your move first.

Tesra: What is this to you? A game?!

Griffin: Yeah, pretty much.

Tesra:

Aarin: Blank, would you mind taking Eorina someplace..?

Blank: You mean, keep her out of the way? Sure. C'mon,'Rina.

Eorina: Hey, you two agreed! Yippee! ::walks off happily with Blank::

Aarin: Right. We did. Ugh.

Me: Get moving.

*Aarin launches a quick low-high slice at Griffen. He yells seemingly nonsense words at the top of his lungs.*

Me: You have a battle cry?

Aarin: [still yelling in the background] Yep. It helps disorient the other person.

Me: Uh-huh. (unfortunately, that is true. My brother's done it to me a couple times.)

Cory: Whoa!! [Dives to the ground, and the ball smacks Chase on the cheek]

Chase: [Staggers backward in shock] What was that?!

Cassie: AWESOME!!!!! Do it again!

Chase: I admit, that was cool.

Cassie: I wanna be like Sonderen! Can I have lightning in my fingers?

Me: No. You're human, that would kill you. Just be content and watch.

Cory: That was... intense.

Jathan: What about Raedon's duel with Merashath?

Raedon: You're all ganging up against me now...

Me: Oh, yes, whenever you're ready...

Telvia: She's finding characters to replace us.

Ok, sorry I've been awhile, but the truth is I'll be pulling out of intros as soon as my duels are over. (I also confess I didn't read everything)

Elanhil: Sorry about the delay, my good man. [Cuts up and to one side at Gail, and then brings his sword down again towards his head.]

Merashath: Have you challenged me, Jaynin?

Me: Sorry, like I said, I haven't read everything.

Gail: Not a problem, sir. [Gets cut slightly on the upward move but is able to block the head one] I knew I'd have to get hit by one to avoid the other. Where's Aris?

Cory: She's busy trying to guess who wrote what for the Dragon Egg hunt.

Chase: Guessing how she guesses best.

Me: It works, OK? You all be good while i keep on doin' it. Cory, you're in charge.

Cory: Again?

Me: Yes again. You're among the few mature ones I can trust.

Me: You have a character you can trust?

Jay: *AHEM!*

Me: Oh, sorry. Jay does all right, except that he's impetuous to the point of near death on occasion.

Shawn: No kidding.

Jay: You get into trouble too!

Shawn: Yeah, when I try to get you out of trouble.

Me: Aris, you need not bother guessing anymore.

Elanhil: [eying Gail] are you alright, my sir?

Me: Aw....

Cory: I'm sure there'll be others.

Me: I was soooo close!

Chase: [Looks at chart] Mm, kinda.

Me: You're not helping. But work, Elanhil. That was impressive. Is there a part 3?

Cory: Haha. You can guess the name of the guest.

Me: True... [To Shawn] Just barely, but yeah. He's the most mature.

Mordir: Oh, thanks.

Gail: I feel the affection here. [To Elanhil] I'm fine, don't worry about me. I've been through worse.

Mordir: Like?

Gail: Like being beaten by a woman, when I can see.

Mordir: Ouch.

Tynx: Well, she's an ambassador, trained by the King's best swordsman, you walked into it.

Mordir: Why don't you go play somewhere?

Tynx: It helps to have someone to play with.

Me: uh, yeah. I challenged you.

Raedon: No...

Jathan: This is gonna be good.

Telvia: It is?

Jathan: Yes. Trust me.

Telvia: Well, at least we don't have to go until it's over.

Jathan: Who do you think she's going to replace us with?

Me: If I knew that you'd be gone already.

Merashath: [releases a mighty shriek and viciously glares at Raedon. Spreading his wings to their full span, (15ft), Merashath lets out another scream. His bloodthirsty mouth salivates as it gapes open, and his talons seem to grow twice as large. There seems to be a fire in his eyes. He is the picture of evil as he stares down at Raedon.]

Elanhil: Wow. And to think I have to fight that thing. [turns back to Gail.] Ok, brace yourself. [Elanhil suddenly thrusts at Gail's chest, cutting upward at his face in the last instant.]

Me: That move is brutal. You don't want to see the bloody description I have in mind for when he does that to someone in the story.

Griffin: (blocks Aarin's sword as it comes up, twist his wrist to deflect it and spins in a cut toward opponent's right arm)

Ravork: No one's dueling me yet. Hey! What happened to the eviler smilie on the birthday celebration?!

Matt: It went bye-bye.

Tesra: All this dueling, but no archers. Would anyone like to challenge me to an archery contest. Now, where did Taril go?

Me: You don't get Taril until close to the end of the story. Wait, you're not even supposed to know about it yet! (Taril is a legendary bow)

Tesra: (whislting)

Aarin sidesteps and brings his sword upwards to block. Throwing off Griffen's sword, he steps back and holds his sword at the ready, but makes no more strikes.

Aarin: Pink??? Why is my action in PINK???? It should be red! or at the very least, blue or green! Not pink!

Tullio: Actually, that's more like purple. Maybe Fuchsia?

Aarin: PINK!

Eorina: ::ignore her brother:: Blank! You got a name!

Me: I like it, so get used to it! Yes, I named Blank. Or more of, Willow (it was her, right, Tullio?) named him.

Tullio: I like this name much better than the other ones she was trying to give me, like Isaak. And yeah, I think it was Willow... or somebody else whose name had an accident with yellow paint.

Eorina: Isaak--that's a nice name too.

Tullio: Give me Tullio any day.

Raedon: *eyes Merashath uneasily* Um, what do I do now?

Me: Get out of here. Shoo. *the barrier drops and Raedon stands facing Merashath*

Raedon: Now what?

Me: Ben!

Raedon: Huh?

Me: I'm going to let him in here if you don't straighten out. Understand? This a duel.

Raedon: All right, all right...

*Raedon shifts into a small rodent and quickly runs between Merashath's claws and disappears behind him...*

@ Amanda: No, I named Tullio in chat, but since everyone kept thinking I had written Willow's drabbles we must be similar in taste.

However, I am quickly going to extricate myself from this thread now that Kimun has issues a duel!

Me: Perhaps so friend, but I have often times found that my brows have been singed more than once in this thread by unruly characters who find delight in their sports.

"I give my solemn word that I shall endeavor to to retain the spotless glory of thy brows in my frivolous exertions of destruction."

He gets like this when he is bored. I haven't touched his story in forever, and he is a bit miffed that Faulkner forgot him.

*smiles* Then perhaps I will stick around for the "entertainment".

Syleh: That I can do.

Tynx: Wow, Kimun can make copies of himsefl?!

Me: Obviously. And no, you cannot. You have enough.

Tynx: Aw come on.

Me: No.

Me: Oops. I get the yellow people mixed up....

Eorina: Soooo.... who's going to fight Kimun?

Aarin: I'm already occupied.

Tullio: Please, Amanda?

Me: You've never held a sword in your life!

Tullio: Actually, Aarin let me swing his sword a few times.

Aarin: *dryly* "Let" is not exactly the right word. More like, Tullio picked it up when I wasn't paying attention.

Tullio: Uh, right. So, can I fight him?

Me: No.

Tullio: Pretty please?

Me: No. That's final. The last one of my charries that fought Kimun gave up!

Aarin: *snicker*

Tullio: I won't! Really!

Aarin: *snicker*

Me: ::sigh:: Maybe after Aarin's done.

Tullio: Yessss!!!

Me: That's still a maybe! ::under breath:: You know you're crazy when you can't win an argument with figments of your imagination...

Niarah - (prowls in sedately) Apparently, the whole duel thing is coming back.

Rahor - Will you challenge Seymour again?

Niarah - (scans the crowd, then sighs ruefully) I think he's been replaced by newer charries. Besides, wouldn't it be rude to renew a challenge after we kept them waiting for so long?

Rahor -(shrugs)

Zanya - Hey, who's the guy in red? Did he just-- (eyes widen) He copied himself? Erm, is that physically possible?

Niarah - (eyes Kimun) Normally, I'd say no. But as far as he's concerned, most likely yes.

Rahor - Tullio, congrats on the new name, it's a noble one.

Merashath: [Whirls around and scans the ground for Raedon. He begins to sweep across it with his large wings.] I'll duel Kimun as soon as I crush this rat.

Me: No you won't. Nope. Uh-uh.

Jay: I wonder what would happen if I dueled someone...

Shawn: Don't you dare.

Jay: Why not?

Me: I can't commit to that right now.

Jay: *snort* Authors.

Shawn: Smileys! Eorina, have you tried them yet? You can tell stories with them, and even have them do somersaults!

Me: That was fun, but it is nice to just get back to the basics here. Less confusing.

Charlotte: Rather, it seems everyone has gotten into the habit of sparring anyone they see.

Lucius: I, too, was pondering that question earlier.

Lucius: I am surprised at your cooperation today, Charlotte.

Raedon: *behind Merashath, swiftly grows into a fire breathing dragon almost twice the size as Merashath. The dragon opens it's mouth and roars, ready to bite his opponent in two*

Me: He's better at this than I thought.

Jathan: This is sooo cool!

Telvia: Can characters get killed in here?

Me: Nope. Not that I'm aware of. Poor Kimun, no one's willing to take him on.

Jathan: Maybe he should offer to teach some of his skills. No one wants to fight him because they know they'll loose.

Aaron: I'd rather fight someone who isn't invincible, as well.

Kian: *steps forward to face Kimun, but only comes up to his waist* I'll stand out --

Mya: *jerks him away by the back of his shirt* No, you won't.

Kian: *struggling* Says who?!

Me: Says me. You don't even have any magic.

Kian: I'm street smart.

Me: This isn't the street.

Faulkner: It's not my fault you didn't show up for fifteen pages. *shifts back into elf form* Still hungry for steel, runt?

Zanya - (flicks one ear forward) How does one fight "street-style"?

Rahor - It's not as honorable as battle with the blade.

Zanya - (shifts to humanoid, then stares at Rahor curiously) Who says that battle is ever honorable?

Rahor - (stiffly) Given your current lack on knowledge, I don't think you'd understand.

Niarah - Knock it off, you two.

Zanya - (glances down at Kian) Fiesty character, aren't you? So where are you from?

Rahor - (looks sideways at his sister) Reminds me of someone I know.

Niarah - *glares*

Rahor - So Kimun, have you found an opponant yet?

Tynx: Oh-

Me: No.

Tynx: Seriously, you just cut me off.

Me: Seriously, I just saved your dignity.

Tynx: What?

Me: Just sit tight, OK? You had a chance to duel.

Tynx: Aww, come on!

Me: NO.

Seymour: I am ready whenever you are, Niarah.

Me: Chase, you up for a duel?

Chase: Excuse me? I have no sword.

Me: False. You have one, you just don't have it yet.

Chase: I don't have any experience.

Me: So what, None of you had experience in dodgeball, and you all fared pretty well.

Mordir: Um, cause we had him. [Points to Griffen]

Me: True, but really, you need practice, I need ideas for your story. If Kimun doesn't find anybody else, you're up.

Seymour: You're going to have a lot of duels on your hands.

Me: I know. But if it keeps you all under control, bring on the battles.

Gail: [Tenses, not moving at all. Then he leans back as Elanhil strikes upward, but his cheek is cut] Very interesting, I didn't expect you to move upward like that.

Mordir: How did you-

Me:

Mordir: I have the feeling if I say anything more I'm gonna get hit by something. Heavy.

Me: Good boy.

Jay: I only like it if the bad guys get hit by something heavy.

Shawn: Yeah, because you get hit on the head all the time!

Jay: That isn't my fault.

Shawn: Well, I think you have the world record for getting hit on the head.

Me:

Jay: If only I had a sword...

Me: Hey, you two could fence with claymores.

Jay: Uh, no.

Shawn: Why not?

Jay: I don't want to "fence" with a bomb.

Shawn: Really?

Jay: What?

Me: By claymore I meant a traditional Scottish sword with a basket hilt. Where did you learn there was a type of bomb called a claymore, anyway?

Jay:

Shawn: I think Wade told him. *shrugs* I don't really want to right now.

Rahor - @Kimun; In that case, I suppose that you're right. (bows courteously)

Niarah - @Seymour; Sorry for keeping you waiting, my friend. I'm ready whenever you are. (readies her staff, and takes a battle stance) You get the first move.

Seymour: As you wish. [Draws out his bladed staff and jumps forward, slashing downward diagonally.]

Me: He's so cool.

Cory: WHat does that make us?

Me: Cool, but in your own special ways. He's cool cause he's got a sweet weapon. You're cool because.... because your a favorite character. Mordir's cool 'cause he's a villain, and Tynx is cool because he's just too cute for his own good.

Chase: I feel so loved.

Me: And you're cool because I say you are. I get a sweet sword.

Chase: A sword that can't bend?

Me: It's a sweet sword.

Mordir: [To Jay (the character)] You say that because you aren't a villain. If you were, you wouldn't find that much joy in it.

Tynx: He's grumpy.

Mordir: You're annoying.

Tynx: Thank you.

Me:

Cassie: I'm bored, can I duel somebody?

Me: No. You have no weapon. And no you cannot use Chase's, or anyone else's. You're a bit too young.

Cassie: I am not!

Me: You're thirteen (I think).

Cassie: So?

Me: Arguing will get you no where.

Niarah - (flips her staff so that it is horizontally positioned and blocks the strike, keeping her weapon braced against his. Stepping sideways, she swings the upper end of her staff at his throat) First time I've ever duelled like this before.

Me - Let me know if the motions are unclear.

Rahor - @Mordir; Really, Jay (the character) makes an excellent point. Villains are best when swiftly dispatched. It's an occupational hazard.

Zanya - There's not a lot of activity happening. Except for the duels.
