This is more a silly observation than anything.

Humility is kind-of a mean virtue, The second you realize you've been humble, you've been arrogant, so your no longer humble. Funny, huh?

However, I feel this is also a relevant quote.

Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less.

If you liked this I'll do more.

* grins * Yes, it is rather. I remember C S Lewis mentioning something like that in The Screwtape Letters.

Your patient has become humble; have you drawn his attention to the fact? All virtues are less formidable to us once the man is aware that he has them, but this is specially true of humility. Catch him at the moment when he is really poor in spirit and smuggle into his mind the gratifying reflection, "By jove! I'm being humble", and almost immediately pride - pride at his own humility - will appear. If he awakes to the danger and tries to smother this new form of pride, make him proud of his attempt - and so on, through as many stages as you please. But don't try this too long, for fear you awake his sense of humour and proportion, in which case he will merely laugh at you and go to bed.

That part always made me laugh so much...all the more so because it's happened to me. :D

Aye, this is a good quote. Very, very good to keep in mind.

You mean speak more on the subject of humility? I would like that.

Well not so much about humility as the idiosyncrasies of different virtues and mental aspects. Like how one can be wise in their own conceit, the true meaning of chastity, how it can be hard to give but harder still to take, etc.

However as a natural prideful man maybe I should continue to focus on humility... with all the humor and gravity of its nature.
