Yep! You read that right. http://www.calebbreakey.com/ is offering free critiques for teen writers. The only thing it requires from you is your time. You’ll get what you put into it. I thought a lot of you on here might be interested, and highly encourage you to give it a try!

Squeeee! Have you tried it out? Is she harsh? Does she nit-pick? Is she super honest? Does she judge you as among teens, or will she judge you as an adult?
That's awesome!

That sounds really interesting. I think I may have to try it. :) I'm a bit confused, can you give me a basic idea on how it works?

From what I can tell, you send him (Caleb) 300 words and when he gets to you, your excerpt, a recording, and the critique.

That is a very little when your first book is 88,000 words!

The Rainbow in the Storm- My Blog

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Works in progress:

The Diegosian Mark, 115,600 words (Preparing for Publication)
The Diegosian Rider, 121,400 words (Finished)
The Diegosian Warrior, 15,000 (In Progress)

Exactly. You can say a lot in those words, yet in the big scheme of things it's not much.

Basically this is true. I haven't had my work critiqued yet, but I know that after your first critique you can send in another. Also there are contests that can either raise you higher on the critique list or let you add more words to the excerpt.

When it is critiqued it will show his edit. The recording is of him reading through it saying why he took out/changed things.

I hope that makes sense to you. I'm sort of having an off day with words.
