Greetings and salutations to you, most noble lords and ladies of Holy Worlds! It gives me great joy to be joined to your ranks on this day, and I hope I shall prove myself worthy to be considered one of your number.

It seems to be proper to give some form of introduction when entering this land, so I shall endeavour to do so. My name is (or isn't) Henrietta von Trapp. Slightly unusual, I confess. *shy laugh* Although there are certain areas where my inventiveness rarely fails, the choice of pseudonyms is far from being my strong suit, and so I requested the assistance of a friend. His suggestion of "Henrietta von Schreiber" met with my approval, but not, it seems, with the approval of the character limit for usernames on this forum. Which was very traumatic for me, I must admit. I liked that username. Sadly, it was unavailable to me, so I used the next "von" name that came to mind. Quite the complex story, no?

However, being unacquainted with the greater part of the etiquette of this forum, it seems to me wiser to request instruction on this matter. What other information is it proper to give when introducing oneself in this place? Ask what you will, and I shall endeavour to satisfy your curiosity.

*eyes shift rapidly from side to side*

Well, er... I write papers for school! I write emails! I write verbose comments that say nothing at all when asked questions I have no inclination to answer!

Truly, I'd love to write. At present, both time and ability are sadly lacking to me. But much can be learned from a place such as this until the time is no longer wanting.

(Besides, people interest me. And writers are an especially fascinating bunch. You have some very unusual quirks that are quite intriguing.)

Asking for favourites is utterly unfair! :P

Tolkein must be ranked high on any list of mine. C.S. Lewis, Louisa May Alcott, Jane Austen... however, should you place a book in my hands, I will read it. Saving only romance novels - I cannot abide those. :/

Tolkien and Lewis are near the top of my favorites list, too. :D

What sort of stories would you like to write?

Fantasy and historical fiction are two of the genres that fascinate me most.

That is very kind of you. :) "Original" - what a kind way to put it.

My reasons for joining are many. For discussion, to learn, to make friends... well, and to study the psychology of writers. ;)

Also: welcome to HW, Miss von Trapp! I'm sure you'll enjoy it here; we're all crazy, granted, but everybody here is also extremely nice and always willing to help. :)

*jots in notebook* It seems as though these writers live in mortal fear of being observed. This could be very useful knowledge in the future...

:D

I shall not forget your caution, kind sir.

Many thanks to you, Mamselle! Fear not, the craziness shall not drive me away - it only serves to make you more interesting. ;)

Welcome to Holy Worlds, Henrietta! :D I trust that you will find observing we the strange writers to be edifying. ;) Haha, I enjoy observing the quirks in humans myself. As a dragon, it can be quite amusing. ;)

Dragon psychology. That is a field that I had not previously given much consideration to. I anticipate many happy hours of observing your psyche! :D And many thanks for your kind welcome.

Whew. That was close.

Oh...oh, hi! Welcome to HW, Henrietta. I'm Balec. I have a glitter shield if you need it - but that's just because I'm allergic.

A belated welcome to you! :D *Gives fuzzy kitten*

Enjoy our chaos and insanity!

Now excuse me while I make sure my characters aren't destroying everything. It's dangerous to leave them together unsupervised. Enjoy HW, Henrietta! And enjoy the glitter and goodies people might very well gift to you. ;)

*ducks under glitter* I have a great affection for glitter. So long as it stays away from my eyes.

Many thanks, all!
