Hello, Holy Worlders!

Holy Worlds Historical Fiction is hosting a drabble contest this month, starting on the 15th of July and ending on the 12th of August. Everyone is invited, and we hope you all come along and join in with the fun. There is no limit to how many drabbles you may submit, so get writing!

What is a drabble? Well, it is a short work of fiction, that is 100 words long.

Your judges are Lady Elanor Mimetes and Lady Katharina Mimetes. Judging will take place as soon as possible once the contest is officially over.

Prizes:
First place will be awarded Sienna North’s novel, Red Sun Blue Earth!
Second place will receive a Historical Fiction background created by Bush Maid, and a bookmark created by Azlyn A. Mimetes.
Third place will be awarded a Historical Fiction background created by Bush Maid.
There will also be a couple of small prizes handed out for Most Drabbles Submitted and Funniest Drabble.

Lady Katharina has kindly offered to send the prizes to the winners; so when the contest is over, the winners will need to email/PM Lady Katharina their addresses so she can mail the prizes.

This thread explains the rules of the contest, and is for submissions.

Do come and join us, we intend to have lots of fun; be assured Elanor will be out and about poking anyone who does not join in! ;)

*nods* Yes, we judges want a hard time picking out the winners. I would rather have to deliberate and hem and haw over who wins what prize for a couple of weeks than have only six or so to choose from. Come on, peoples! Let's get writing!

Same way you write sanely at 1 o'clock in the morning. I did that yesterday. Heh.

I'm way too much of a chicken to dictate my writing out loud.

I've actually done some great writing between 12-1am... I probably should not have admitted that in context.

Monday is the last day we are accepting entries for this contest. So get your drabbles in already!

Okay, I'll try to be nice. First of all, you need to at least make an effort to win one of the prizes, right? Who doesn't want to get a book written by our very own Sienna North? Even if you don't win the first prize, there is always a handmade bookmark. These bookmarks are gorgeous. There is also a historical fiction desktop background made specially for you by Bushy (if you win third place, that is). You do not want to miss out on the chance to win them. Second of all, drabbles are only 100 words long. That's it. So, get writing please? :beg:

It's only a hundred words- it could be interesting. ;) Especially considering that lots of people know nothing about making cheese... XD

That's okay, Calista. It would have been nice to have one of your drabbles in the contest, but life happens. :)

The drabble contest is now closed and judging will probably happen sometime in the next week or two. Hopefully. ;)

I tried to write something for this but I liked my story so much I couldn't keep it short enough. :bawl:

Congrats to the people who did enter!
