Hi, I'm new here, and I wanted to introduce myself.

I am Kat, and although I don't have anything under my "interests" in my profile, I love to read :book: and write. And sometimes draw. I like to draw anime and manga, and I like to read either Fantasy Fiction, or the Bible. My fav. book of the Bible is John. And I love to meet new people.

Emilyn, or as I know her, Jill, introduced me and many others to these forums on another forum site, and I love this so far!

Hello, Kat! Welcome to the forums! :)

John is my favourite book of the Bible as well.

What are you working on with your writing at the moment?

Welcome to Holy Worlds! There is a handful of other members who draw anime/manga here as well. I used to draw it but haven't had time since graduating high school. : /

I hope you enjoy everything so far. :D

I was just thinking Kitkat :D Welcome anyway. I don't get to read often but when I do its usually along the lines of A.W Tozer or C.S Lewis with the odd dabble into books based on the various Star Trek Series.

Thank you everyone for the greetings! ;)

My fav. authors are J. R. R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, Wayne Thomas Batson, Bryan
Davis, and many others...the list is so long!

I have been writing a story for a short story summer writing contest for my local library, and I am in the middle of many other knight stories. I will be posting them, once I type them.

And my friends sometimes call me Kit-Kat, yes. :)

I don't think I've ever read any W T Batson, or Bryan Davis, but of course I have heard and read books from your other two favourite authors. :D

Ooh, that sounds like fun! Are you enjoying it? I shall look out for them, are they fantasy? What genre do you tend to write in?

Well, I tend to write Fantasy, but sometimes, I write Realistic Fiction, usually set in the 50's or 60's.

The short story I am writing for the contest, is Fantasy. I am just starting it, so even I don't know what it is fully about. But, I know it will have something to do with Elves. lol. I think I've been making it too wordy, with not much dialogue, but I am working on it. ;) It's been really fun so far!

And, yes, Wayne Thomas Batson and Bryan Davis are both Fantasy. Another Fantasy author I enjoy, is Chuck Black. He wrote the Kingdom Series, and another series, but I haven't read it yet.

Sounds fun! So you like Elves eh? Me too. :D I have Elves in my fantasy novel, although they aren't my main race. I have read one of the books out of the Chuck Black series, and really enjoyed it.

Welcome, Kat!

For those suffering from insanity, I offer therapy on Thursdays. Bring all of your personalities.

Redemption is to be purchased, to have a price paid. So I was redeemed from my master sin, and from justice, which demanded my death. For He paid the price of sin by becoming sin, and met the demands of justice by dying for us.

For all men have a master. But a man cannot have two masters. For he will love one and hate the other. You cannot serve God and sin. So I die to the old, as He died, and I am resurrected to the new, as He was resurrected.

Note: Ebed is Hebrew for bondsman, Eleutheros is Greek for unrestrained (not a slave).

Well met, (Kit)Kat,

Gospel of John is my favourite book in the Bible too, I love the more intimate view of Jesus that John gives us.

Great to hear you like drawing anime and manga, my brother's an absolute manga nut.

God bless

Thanks you everyone for the warm welcomes! I am so happy Jill (Emilyn) sowed me these forums! They are so cool!

And, yes, John does show Jesus in a really cool way. My fav. verse in John is John 1:1,

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

I love how this verse shows that Jesus was with God, in the beginning, and that He is God. This is proof that God and His Son, Jesus, are one. (Word = Jesus)
