I thought it'd be fun and helpful to make up/list quirky traits or just normal traits, to give us all ideas for our characters. Let's see how many quirky traits we can come up with!

A Quirky Character....


1. Can read a book and actually get into it in any place or circumstance, including an argument going on around him/her, or a battle going on around him/her, and yet can still keep out of the way of the battle/argument by looking around with the corner of his/her eyes.
2. Is fearless.
3. Uses the word "Brilliant" a lot.
4. Likes making up expressions like, "Oh my Sweet Greatness!" and sometimes their tongue slips so they say, "Oh my Sweet Grape-ness!"

5. Cracks knuckles and fingers when nervous.
6. Hates the feel of soap or slippery things on skin.
7. Refuses to cross bridges.
8. Is afraid of birds.
9. Mispronounces words and refuses to admit doing so:
"Watch out for the catapidder."
"It's called a caterpillar."
"That's what I said."

10. Hates the sound of knuckles cracking.
11. Likes to dance on tables.
12. Is afraid of everything.
13. Talks to his/herself when people are staring at him/her.
14. Whenever he says yes, he says "Yeah. Mmhm." I met someone like that today.

15. Is deathly paranoid around people with brown eyes.
16. When drawing, holds pencil applying down from top the paper, instead of the side.
17. Laughs like a moose howls.... (Moose howl... right?)
18. When drinking from a glass, with his/her left hand, opposite of the prominent side.
19. Absolutely despises lady bugs.

Haha, this is actually quite fun!

20. Always wears green and red on all holidays unconsciously.
21. Draws dark pictures in a brown notepad that they keep with themselves at all times.
22. Stares at the tv when it is off, almost expecting something to pop out of it like a portal.
23. Doesn't like discussing philosophy with strangers who are philosophers.
(Yeah it is kinda fun )

23. Always agrees with something before he disagrees with it.

24. Has a habit of imitating people.

25. Quotes people without knowing it all the time, but when he/she does realize it, they remember exactly who they quoted.
26. Makes their room into a garden by bringing bugs, rocks, dirt, grass, animals(foxes, kittens, a stag, etc.), plants, and young trees and flowers into their room.
27. Refuses to use any kind of peculiar technology.

28. Has a craving for chocolate that borders uncontrollable, and gets dangerously hyper when he eats it.

29. Enjoys chewing on catnip.

I thought that was normal.

31. Despises all cheese that is not blue.
32. Avoids snow at all costs.
33. Faints if he sees the colors pink and black next to each other.
34. All stone columns are met with suspicion.
35. Will not wear stripes.
36. Believes bacon will kill you.
37. Hides under a 'safe' object if he sees a bat.
38. Wears a stone helmet into battles.
39. Dances to cheesy country songs during an adventure.
40. Likes dead fish.

Oh my stars, that is literally how I talk in real life!

*cough* Anyhoo...

41. Hates the feeling of soft materials such as polar fleece (my brother is this way)
42. Can't read a book sitting up, but prefers leisurely reading upside down on the couch
43. Always needs to be chewing on something such as a toothpick or straw
44. Plucks single hairs from their scalp when they're nervous/anxious

45. Talks to cats as if they are people, whenever he meets one.
46. Draws pictures on his hands.

Oh my! This is a fun way to initiate being a HolyWorlder! Hmm...
51. Is in a constant state of lethologica
52. Is obsessed with anyone possessing red hair
53. Goes around speaking with a Russian accent for no reason
54. Talks and sings to themselves perpetually
55. Makes sound effects when by themselves to ward off boredom.
Haha *eee* this is entertaining! And so far....I basically just described myself

56. Talks and sings to any animals he or she sees
57. Often thinks of jokes he/she's heard and starts giggling, much to the confusion of everyone else in the room.
58. Constantly relates the conversation back to books he's read or movies she's seen
59. Takes every metaphor literally and corrects every single tiny error ("I cannot stand corrected because I am sitting down - and that's not ketchup, it's catsup, ask for it correctly - and stop saying the word flammable, I will not put down these matches until you use the correct word. Why is everyone screaming at me?").

60. Has a pepper grinder in their pocket at all times,
61. Is a master of horrible, impromptu punning.

Always ends sentences with a synonym of everything they've already said.
