Okay, so I confess, I really want to see this movie. It looks very fun to me, and I love the idea of little people riding on the backs of hummingbirds. :D

Thoughts? Anyone seen it yet?

I'm interested to see it merely because one of the characters is voiced by Josh Hutcherson. :D

Looks more interesting than most, but I'm still not sold yet. ;) (It generally takes quite a bit to sell me on a movie.)

I really want to see it too! Checked it out on a bunch of Christian review sites and it's gotten 4 1/2 stars. Hope it's as good as they say it is. :/

I think it looks really neat. We'll probably watch it after it comes out on DVD.

I really liked the animation, for both the good guys, and the bad. In fact, one of my favorite scenes, visually, was when we are first introduced to the bad guy. There is a very clever camouflage section (using a rat's hide) that just really struck me.

Who has seen the new animated film, Epic?

It's a great family film about a young teenaged girl, M.K, who goes to live with her Dad after her Mother dies. Her Dad is something of an eccentric, who believes in a tiny civilization of people living in the forest and has spent a lot of his life trying to find them.

The animation and design are amazing!

I had no idea M.K was voiced by Amanda Seyfried - it sounds nothing like her!

I was slightly hesitant when I heard that Beyonce was in it, but I ended up loving her character, and she played it well.

My favourite character had to be Ronin though, played by Colin Farrel. He is so serious, has a great sense of duty and comes across as quite authoritative but you see a caring side to him as well. (Oh and I love his accent!!)

Have you seen it, and did you like it? What were your thoughts?

I just saw Epic with my family. I must say that yes, I loved Ronin. (With that voice, who wouldn't?)

I was pleasantly surprised how little of the 'trees are good and people are bad' theme was present in it, and how the humans come out as the heroes in the end. Always a plus when dealing with 'fairy' type movies, especially as this one started out extremely similar to the old Fern Gully film.

Was I the only one who totally missed that the caterpillar was played by Steven Tyler until I saw the credits? :0

Loved the animation.

And it was scored by Elfman, so what's not to like?

Epic was adorable. I thoroughly liked it, especially the slugs. I usually end up not liking the comedic sidekick type, but the slugs were my favorites.

One of my other favorite parts was that her father turned out to be right, and she apologized to him. So different from many of the teen/preteen movies being made now.

Was I the only one who didn't like the way Ronan came back to life so easily? I mean, after being swarmed by a huge crowd of whatever-they-were? It just seemed too easy. Not that I wasn't glad to see him back.

I loved Epic! Josh Hutcherson did the MC's voice too (I forget his name).

And Elfman did the score, like you said Caeli. What more do you need? ;)

I agree about Ronin, E, but as he was my favourite character, I didn't complain too much about it. ;)

I can't work out who Stephen Tyler is right now. Hmm, I'll have to look his name up.

I didnt realise Pitbull was in it. Not that I listen to his music, *laughs* I just wasn't expecting to see his name in the credits.

It's definitely enjoyable, Heather. :D
