A friend of mine in the Seattle area is selling all of her stock. Almost half a million books. I took home as many as I could pack into my car today to begin the stock for my future bookstore--she insisted that I take as many books as I could fit in my Porsche for free. Yes, you'll have to call her to place an order. I doubt they have time to update the website...they have been swamped with people coming into the store.

Huh...you didn't get the owner, did you? She told me directly that she can ship them.

However, this does not apply to books by weight, so if you asked about that, perhaps that is the confusion. The $1.50 a pound is for in-store purchases only.

I called them; they said they ship books, but not for the discount sale price. If you're buying online, it's the price listed on the website.

Ah, so that's the confusion. Well, they're still cheap because shipping is included in those prices, and shipping generally costs a couple dollars per book.

I thought they were shipping the books at sale prices, in which case I assumed they'd have to charge actual shipping costs because the sale prices wouldn't even cover the shipping alone.
