I had an idea that I wanted to run past you guys here instead of posting on G+ where you might not see it.
Since uploading a cover recording of me singing to the accent thread, I was shocked and flattered to find someone had put it onto a CD to listen to, and even put it on their
iPod so they could listen to my scratchy little voice.

I was very surprised and honoured that people liked the sound of my singing, and truthfully, I love to sing and record myself, I just never thought that it would be anything worth listening to. So I got an idea.
You can find a lot of song covers on YouTube by many different
very talented people, however sadly they are often of very poor quality and are quite difficult to be listenable. My brother Jacob and I have been seriously bitten by the recording bug, and we now have a lot of knick knacks and assorted technological bric-a-brac that make quality recordings. Thus, I was wondering:
Would anyone be interested in a YouTube or SoundHound channel where I uploaded simple covers of songs (worship songs, CCM, 70's, etc.) and where my brother uploaded quality guitar instrumental recordings, or ensemble instrumentals? I would hopefully have them available for downloading, and it would all be free. I'm merely thinking it would be something fun for my brother and I to do that would help us gain experience in the recording world, and I'd also get some good singing practise in. Any critiques, advice, or constructive criticisms on our work would be very enlightening and would be more than worth the time and effort it would take to record and upload them.
So there. What are your thoughts? Do you think we're jumping on the same old bandwagon everyone else has, and would be a waste of our time? Or would some of you maybe want to hear our music/covers? If yes, do you have any suggestions for us on getting started? Please let me know what you think!
