Greetings,

My name is Jeff Chapman. I write various types of speculative fiction including fantasy and fairy tales. Thanks to Tim Ward for directing me to this forum. I've been writing off and on most of my life but after a serious illness a few years ago decided to take it seriously. I published my first story in 2009.

I recently published Saul Book I: Forgiveness, the first in a planned series of stories. It could use some more reviews. If anyone is interested, I can arrange a free copy for you.

Looking forward to interacting with all of you on the forum.

A hearty welcome! Glad to have you here. :)

Do you self publish? I liked the looks of your covers, and the premises sound exceptionally intriguing. I already have a hankering to get 'Crooked house of Coins' in particular.

Hi Jonathan,

As for fantasy, I like Gene Wolfe, Peter Beagle, Neil Gaiman, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephen Lawhead, and Ursula Le Guin. If it's a good story with a palpable setting, I'll probably like it.

Welcome to the forum! I find it interesting how God used an illness to steer you more strongly to writing.

Hi,

Yes and no. The story collection and the story singles that I've published are all previously published stories that I've edited and republished as the rights reverted back to me. Moving forward, I plan to do a mix of self and traditional publishing. Glad to hear you appreciate the covers. My wife, who does artwork and photography, helped me with them. Covers are hard work.

As for Crooked House of Coins, I can send you a mobi file directly or a coupon code to download an epub version from Smashwords. Just let me know your preference. Thanks.

Welcome to Holy Worlds, Jeff! Glad to have you here!

Yes, I do believe that covers are indeed hard work. You and your wife have done a good job. :)

Welcome, Jeff. Pleased to meet you.
Also, I'm sure there are more cookies somewhere if somebody ate all yours. Try that cupboard over there! *indicates cupboards stocked with goodies, glitter and fans*
