Looks really good! It is fuzzy because of the resolution that it is at. If you scanned it in at a much higher resolution (so that it would be about 3000px wide instead of a few hundred) it will be a lot clearer. :)

Yeah, I can't see it either, but the overall geography looks good! :)

Thanks, Sir Emeth. :D I think I made it a little better.

Looks much better! Good detail. :) Is that your whole world? Or only a part?

Thanks! :D
That map is just part of it, but most of my story is in Arenia. I do have a map that has the whole continent, but it's not very detailed at all.

Ah. It took me forever to actually get my whole globe onto paper. It morphed in my head for years before I finally sat down and fractalled it all out.

I like the word fractalled. :)

Yeah. This is like the fifth remake of my map, and I still don't have all the names! I need to brainstorm some with my brother. He's good at names. :D

So is mine. He invented the name Raschith for me. Very cool.

Ok, what does the word fractalled mean? I've seen it a few times and my dictionary has never heard of it, so I am clueless.

Oh, and the map looks really good! I'm guessing that the large patch of little puzzle-like shapes (near the large island in the western ocean) is a forest...?

Great job!

Your dictionary can be excused, since I and my siblings invented the verb. :) Fractal is a mathematical term, from which we derived our verb, so you might be able to figure it out from that, but probably not. Here is an article I wrote about it on my blog. We believe that fractalling is an extremely powerful concept that can be used with great leverage for writers (especially fantasy writers).

Yes. My forest-drawing skills are lacking! :D

I think it looks good. Besides, it looks a lot better than drawing a bunch of tiny pine trees. I tried that once and ruined a map.

Me too. It's annoying when you have to redraw an entire map!

UGH! I know what you mean. Just two nights ago, I was showing my sisters the map I had drawn of my world. We were playing a sort of medieval fantasy game (one sister was a princess, I was a sort of bard/tutor and the other sister was a maid) and so the entire room was lit by candles. I was tipping a candle towards the page so they could see and *splat* - we now have the Great Wax Current floating down the southern half of the mainland and emptying into the Southern Sea. Now I have to redraw the entire thing...

Ugh... Or maybe you could have your characters cross the Great Wax Current! :)

hahahaha! I have three copies of my map and the latest one I had to redraw because I needed a good map that was only in pencil. It took me forever to draw it after I decided I would redraw my map. I hate redrawing maps... :o :( :D
