You guys may have noticed my lack of presence on the forums lately, and I'm afraid to admit that college is the culprit of my absence. :P

Currently, I work 20 hours a week and attend college part-time. I do 6 hours of homework every day (except on Sundays), co-lead as a youth leader for my youth group, and attend a college Bible study. All these events take place in a city 45 minutes from my home. Suffice to say, I'm still learning time management. ;)

At this time, I've decided keep working behind the scenes (aka Moderating my forums) as I have been since August. If anyone has questions, feel free to PM me. ^^

Stay classy!

~Calen

Whoa, that's a lot to do. I hope that all goes well! And I hope we get to skype chat one of these days. :) And of course I'm looking forward to you hopefully someday fully returning to the forums. ^_^

You sound extremely busy, Calen! It's nice to still have you around, even if you are behind the scenes. :D And I also am glad you're staying on as a mod. Make sure you get some relax time in there too!

Aw, you guys are all so nice! *hugs everyone* Life continues to quickly pull me forward. Here's an update:

Praises: I am recovering from whooping cough and my supposed broken rib is only badly sprained. This week I can yawn without being in pain! I still can't lay on my side at night, but we're making progress.

I have a new (used car)! My 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier was slowly nickel and diming me to an unreasonable point. I now have a 2002 Hyundai Elantra with only 96,000 miles on it! (My Chevy has 186,000 miles on it).

I have picked up a couple more hours at work, and plan to work 8 hours shifts over Christmas break, so I can pay off my car faster and save up for Asia.

Learning Korean is going slowly but surely. I now know phrases but not in written form. I can only speak it. :P

Oh! My mom is participating in NaNoWrimo this year! I'm so proud of her! It's the first time she's written in 8 years!

I hope you all are doing well!

~Calen

It's nice to see an update from you, Calen. :D I'm glad that things are going pretty well for you, overall. That's neat that your mom is doing NaNo.

Thanks for all the well wishes!

Update:

My rib is all better and my whooping cough is finally going away! (It's been a long 8 weeks with it). :P

Finals are coming up for college, so I have busy studying like most of my peers. Christmas is coming up and there just isn't enough time in a day for me to work on the projects I have in mind!

I hope you all have doing well! I miss seeing all your lovely presences here on Holy Worlds. :[

I hope to be on more over Christmas break. :D

I haven't gotten much rest despite it being Christmas break. I apologize again, for my lack of presence. :'(

I will remain behind the scenes for now until I can get my priorities straight and overcome some personal struggles.

Thank you, Jonathan. Things have been busier than expected. You'd think part-time classes at college would be less time-consuming. :P Unfortunately, I have to study twice as hard to get good grades with my dyslexia, and since I'm paying for college, I don't want to fail anything! :D

I will keep lurking and trying to participate when I can. I don't want to become a stranger here. ;)

Update:

Hello, everyone! I just wanted to give you a pulse that I was still alive. ;)

School has been exceedingly challenging this semester. I've really struggled emotionally since starting college again in January. It's something the Lord has put in my life to test my perseverance and while I'm not very patient or optimistic about it, I have to keep going until the end (a very long 2 years yet...)

Anyhoo, that's what's up right now. I hope you all are doing well! Looking forward to spring? We received a nice bit of snow on Friday and we're in for even more this coming week. It's nice to have snow covering the ground again, but I also look forward to the spring weather. : )

Blessings,

~Calen

Thanks, Jonathan, I have been doing very well lately. ^^

I believe it's safe to say I'm officially back. ^_^ Here's a run down of what's been up with me:

1. I wrapped up the spring semester at the college I've been attending with some blessed grades despite my struggles. (Yay for B's!)

2. I will not be attending college in the fall, so I plan to be on Holy World more during the year.

3. I haven't been writing lately, but it's a goal for this year.

4. I'm currently working two part-time jobs: 8am-12pm at an office as an Administrative Assistant and 1pm-6pm working at a daycare. Therefore, my evenings are much more free than this past year.

I didn't want to overwhelm anyone with too much detail, but that's what has been up with me and what to expect from the future. :D
