It has come to my attention that today marks one year since the noble Lycanis Mimetes started journeying together with us on this forum. HW would not be the same without him.

I can think of a bunch of projects I wouldn't have started or finished without his (sometimes unintentional) encouragement. We are so blessed to have him here.

Want to know the day I started feeling old? Last semester, when I got on HW for a brief moment to check something. I happened to see your name green.

Me: Lycanis... green... *sniffle* Why do I feel like so proud? Wait-- why do I feel so old?

Now someday I can tell my children, "I remember when Lycanis was just a registered user!" and then my children can gasp in awe and reflect on the implications thereof (once they get past how old that must make me If they get past how old that must make me.).

*laughs * Yeah... I am old.

Old in the sort of way that if you left I would never forgive you for marring HW by your departure.
