Hey, umm, I got a problem here. My avatar doesn't show in the little box next to my comments in the chatroom. Any idea why that is?

I don't have an Avatar but I have seen others who also have the same problem.

It might be the weight of your Avatar. Maybe. I don't know.

My Ancestors assisted Duke William of Normandy in the Battle of Hastings in 1066 A.D. The Sandefur surname in my family line has gone through 4 changes I believe (I actually did the research on Ancestry.com) to include Sandifur, Sandeford and Sanford. There have been a few with the title Sir in front of their name, which may or may not mean knighthood (I am still looking into this). My family immigrated from England between 1600 - 1630 possibly to Virginia and have lived in VA, MO, KY and TN. There are actually two coat of arms that I have found, one ready available for the many variations of my surname and one specifically for some of the Sanfords, which I'm assuming is probably a break-off or sect on the opposite of some conflict from the rest of the family. The one I have claimed for my own family is the one I have asked to be uploaded for my own avatar.

A couple of really cool things I have found is this....I am a direct line descendant from the Sanfords who fought with the Duke of Normandy in the Battle of Hastings. There is either a township or village called "Sanford" which I am assuming that my Surname comes from. The Sandefur's actually have a bit of Viking blood running through them as well. I hope that answers your question.
