Welcome to week thirty-four, fellow questers!

Remember that worldbuilding article you wrote last week? Your goal this week is to choose a holiday/celebration you developed and write an essence map for it. If you didn't do the weekly challenge last week, feel free to use celebrations you developed in the past, or even a this-world celebration.

Your NaNo goal this week is to have your MC get into a fight (verbal or physical, up to you. One sided fights also count.) Extra points will be awarded if the fight is also resolved.

Wait. What are NaNo goals?
I was just going to tell you. For the rest of October and the month of November, we will be hosting extra goals that will either help your NaNo experience, or make it more...shall we say..interesting.

Can I do them even if I'm not doing NaNo?
For certain! They are quite likely to be able to be applied to normal writing, so help yourself to the extra points.

Remember, in order to receive points for completing the weekly challenge, you MUST declare it by Monday at midnight.

How long does the fight have to be? Does plotting them count?

After playing around with metaphors, I'm tentatively going to add the Weekly challenge to my goals. And I also just realized that I declared them wrong before. (I think I got mixed up as to which was the weekly goal) So my goals look like this:

I think my MC has got into at least three fights so far this week. * rolls eyes at MC *

I got my personal goal done too.

I finished my personal goal!

My characters have gotten into one verbal fight so far, and it has been resolved. Hopefully I can do at least one more. Then my essence map just needs some straightening out and I'll be done!

Now to tackle that weekly goal...

My MC fought three times.
I wrote an X about a holiday.

Finished the NaNo goal twice. Once as a verbal fight and once as a physical fight. Both fights were resolved.

Great scott! I nearly forget to come in here and say that, as best as I was able with the shortened week and not enough time to work, I completed my goals.

My characters got into another fight, physical, and it is not resolved. And I did an essence map.

Finished my weekly goal! My essence map is pretty lame and non-interesting, but whatever...

Personal goal completed! (The posts haven't been published yet because they need to be edited and scheduled.)

Bother. One, I should have known that it was silly to make a goal when I was playing a concert during my writing time. Two, I didn't think to declare my NaNo goal complete because the writing I did get done met the goal.
