A request has been made to use the following description as the baseline for a new topic. (You're welcome, Bushy. :) )

So here is your inspiration on describing yourself...

Neil of Erk wrote:
Fine, fine, fine. I surrender.

I'm 5'10'' or 5'11'', depending on your scale, I weigh about 180, I'm a white Caucasian male of Scottish and German descent, I live in Idaho, and have been known to say "ain't" on occasion. I sometimes forget to brush twice everyday, my room is not clean, I often wait 'till the last minute to do my homework, my hands and hand writing can be described with the adjective "doctor's", my feet are completely normal in every reasonable way, my eyes change colors, my hair is brown, my lips dry out fast (and I chew them), I wear flannel or other long sleeved shirts when I can help, jeans 90% of the time, polos when it's too hot of long sleeves, most of my clothes are blue, my eyebrows are moderately thick and my left eyebrow raises dramatically when I'm concentrating on anything, I have scars on my right eyebrow and my chin, my build is proportionate and my shoulders are somewhat broad. I occasionally sport a goatee, I generally wear my hair short (though I once tried growing it out), my knees are normal, and my hands are sweaty.

That's the closest to a picture of me that y'all are going to get on this forum.

Thank you to Neil for this wonderful exhibit. The gauntlet has been laid. Now how about the rest of you?  D:

Come on guys! You're not going to disappoint me by cowardly refusing to participate?

*rubs hands together* Thanks for starting this, Lord Tarin! :D And I was working on it, Neil. ;)

I'm a 5' 2" ish, maybe more or less, depending on what angle you look at me from. I'm part English/Irish/Scottish (awesomely) and Dutch (regrettably). I weigh a bit above the average person, and have a sturdy frame that was not built for ballet. My wild shoulder-blade-length hair that generally lives in a single plait or ponytail looks brown to the uncultured eye, but it's really blonde, because it's golden in the sunlight. My eyes are blue, and they look the bluest when I wear blue. I have small hands and short fingers. My face and arms are dusted with freckles. I have dark eyebrows and short eyelashes. I have big feet that sport scars from many barefooted adventures, since I never wear shoes (if I can help it). One of my front teeth has a permanent white stain that draws quite a lot of questions from little children who get close enough to notice it. I live in T-shirts, and I gravitate towards camo green/beige ones. My elbows are normal, my knees occasionally crack (from jumping out of the swing at peak height once too many times). I often whistle through my teeth, I say the word "awesome" a lot, and if I'm not wearing an akubra, I have my flowered military cap on. :D

Idril is only 5 feet...so she is very small. :P :dieshappy:
I'm the resident Asian of the Forums (although my sister, Inkling Writer) is here now, so that makes two of us! I'm half-Filipino (with some Spanish blood) and half-Chinese. That makes me brown-skinned with dark-brown-almost-black wavy length hair (sometimes I straighten it out with a blow dryer and end up getting called "Mulan" o.O) which I tie with a ponytail or let loose around my face and shoulders, and dark-brown-almost-black eyes, rimmed by short eyelashes. I am chinky-eyed which makes my eyes usually disappear when I smile. I have worn glasses since I was 11 or 12, I think, and my eyesight has not improved since then (I blame snuggling under the covers to read with a flashlight for that). I have dimples on both sides of my cheeks (it's a trademark of our whole family, actually :D) that come out especially when I smile or laugh. I usually finger my hair when I am in deep thought. I like dressing simply: a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and slippers will do for me. I want to be free to walk, to run, to kick (if necessary, haha!).

I love getting these visuals, since I don't really know what anyone here looks like. And I promise to post my appearance and various other tidbits about myself before the end of the week.

Oh I am not good at this. Let me see.

I'm 5'10, I'm English, (all my Dad's family are Irish) I have dark blonde hair, that currently has icy blonde and golden blonde highlights. I have short, just under shoulder length hair at the moment, although I am growing it. I tan easily, and don't have very white skin, like my sister. I wear glasses, and have done since I was little. I have really long eye lashes. I dress casually most of the time, jeans and I like to wear checkered tops. I always lose my slippers, so I wear thick whooly socks in the house. I have small hands, but long, slim fingers. I have black eyebrows. And that's all I can think of. :D

I'm 5'3 or so, and my weight is confidential, so there. I'm a white Caucasian female of Scottish, Irish, English, and a few other things I don't know descent. :P I live in Washington State. I tend to have no button on my voice in between (LOUD) and (OFF). If I'm not hyper and screaming, I'm depressed and silent. I have to brush my teeth four times a day because of my dumb braces, my room is covered in books and movie posters, I'm failing high school. My handwriting is messy and I don't really care. My hair is curly, frizzy, a rat's nest, and brown. My eyes are normally gray-green but they change color. I wear t-shirts and jeans most of the time, sweatpants and tank tops at night. I almost always wear either black or gray. I have a scar in the middle of my forehead from when I sledded under a chain link fence. My build is confidential. When I was ten I got my hair cut really really short. Like... boy-short. Because I was a huge tomboy. It looked fluffy. Now I'm growing it out long again. People think I'm a boy, even now though. When I was eleven someone called me and my brother 'brothers' instead of 'brother and sister' and I was happy about that.

That is not the closest thing to a picture you will get of me because I've already posted pictures of me.

Uh...
I'm around 5'8-9", a kinda normal build I guess? xD I weigh around...179 or something I think...I have dark brown hair that shows light brown in the light sometimes. My hair is grown out from a buzz cut which makes it kinda weird, it goes down to my chin and curls out (because it dries behind my ears and keeps that curl), it can cover my whole face except for my right eye, half my nose, and most of my mouth, and it hangs about halfway down my shoulder blades. My eyebrows are dark, my right eyebrow is split along the top from a childhood collision with a shopping cart. My hands are normal sized and my fingers are too--not big or little, thick or thin (but my fingers are cold right now). My skin tans pretty easily; I don't burn very often (unless I spend all day in the sun before getting any tan, or get light reflected onto me from weird angles). I don't know what my heritage is, but I believe I am at least a large part human, and some people say I have a "native american look" but I don't see it that much. o.O
My feet are...feet, and they don't like most shoes, and spend a great deal of time hurting me. xD
My skin gets a rash sometimes when something is going on in that region. Example: yesterday I was having trouble with my face because it wanted to cry and I didn't want it to. In the mirror I noticed it had turned red and had slight welts (or hives or whatever) on it. Or when I stack chairs at church I get the rash on my back and arms mostly.
My face makes people think I'm mad/sad when I'm not necessarily. o.O

I forgot to mention on my portrait that I am mainly of German and Scottish descent. You can see the Scottish in my build (somewhat tall, moderately broad shoulders), but the German doesn't really show up anywhere.

And I'm going to remind some of you that technically, if you are English and descended from Britons or Saxons you are descended from Germans anyway, as these were early German tribes that split off during the southward migration.

I really love this thread. I know what some of you look like, because I have seen pictures of you, but I love hearing you all describe yourself. So, I will be a good sport and do the same. :D

I’m 5’1”, officially (I was 5'2" when I first joined HW, but have apparently shrunk?!?!?!), and at 22 I’m not likely to grow anymore, except possibly in width. I’m an average weight for my height and I fall into the Caucasian female category. My descent, though, is rather eclectic on Daddy’s side and focused on my mom’s. Because of this, I just stick to telling people about my mom’s heritage, began it is so concentrated on my mom’s side. My Grandfather is full German and my Grandmother is full Italian, making a very interesting marriage and clash of cultures, but I take after the Italian. I have very dark brown hair (some people say it is black, but it isn’t dark enough to be black) that turned curly a couple years ago, and black, very defined eyebrows. My eyes are very dark brown, and my lashes are long and black. I have the opinion that my hair and eyes look darker than they actually are because my skin is so white. I can’t seem to tan at all, and I have very faint freckles sporadically placed on my hands and arms. So, long story short, I’m a contrast of dark and light. I have a deep dip in my upper lip, but aside from that they are average lips, I think. I have a scar in my hairline from when I gashed open my head and had to get stitches, and I have two scars from my biopsies. My hands are not girlish, at all, but they are strong, and my knees are categorized by bruises, as I am forever participating in sports (extreme or regular) that cause some wear and tear on them. My build is proportionate to my height, and my feet are on the smaller size (5-6), though larger than the other women in my family (my grandma wears a size 3 shoe and my mom a 4-5). Ummm…. My nose and ears are normal. My chin is a chin. My clothing choices are very eclectic, to be honest. I like classic things, steampunk (which I will wear places), tailored and fancy. I also like “funky” clothes, as my pastor’s wife tells me. *shrugs * I like what I like. I also wear suede boots that come up to below my knee, predominantly, or I wear my Converse. Despite the desire to have lovely handwriting, it is anything but. And when I’m thinking, I often unknowingly do something repetitive. Be that clicking a pen, drumming my fingers, worrying with my lip- you get the picture.

And I think that is a basic overview of me. :D

I'm about 5'2-3", around 130 lbs last I checked. I have very broad shoulders which work well with my pitbull personality when playing sports. My hair varies from pixie to past the shoulder and has been called jet black though it's slightly browner than that. When it's long, it's mercilessly frizzy (or greasy, depending on the day) so it's nearly always pulled back tight. My mother calls my skin porcelain and I take her word for it because I'm really not sure. My heritage is Euro-mixed including but not limited to French, German, Welsh, Irish, Polish, and a side of Lenape Indian for good measure. Theoretically, there's nobility and pirate in some of those, actually... Either way, I still look about the same as I did at the age of 10. I have a very firm neutral face, my eyes are a calm blue that is best brought out by pink, and my friends quail if I glare at them right (I don't know if that's them or me). My hands and feet are normal I suppose, excepting my right pinky toe that's grown across it's neighbor since I was born giving me a four-toed footprint. My elbows and knees have scrape scars from various sports and calamities, everyone thinks I fall on purpose because of how quickly I pick myself up, and when I bend my knees they remind me of the foreheads of elephants. While my t-shirts mean a lot to me (being from missions trips and such) I prefer to wear classical styles or sometimes loose homemade things that look something like a modern gypsy.

I'm a Caucasian female; I'm about 5'2", and people say I have long legs. I am on the lighter side of average for my weight and age. I am still growing in height and weight. I have wavy dark blond hair. In the right lighting, it has occasional, natural golden highlights. My hair is very, very thick. A few months ago I got it cut shoulder-length, and it lessened the thickness. It's grown two or three inches since then, so it's about shoulderblade length. My hands are average. I have small wrists, which I get from my dad's side of the family. I am constantly afraid of rings getting stuck on my fingers by accident, so I tend to go up a ring size whenever I wear them. My nails are rather short and generally have dirt underneath. :P My eyes are green. My eyebrows are slightly thick (again, from my dad's family). I wear glasses, and have since I was six years old. Currently I have brown plastic frames. My cheeks are usually naturally rosy. I'm usually smiling. My skin tans slightly, especially my arms. My nose usually gets burnt in the sun.

I am of Irish, Scottish, and Native American descent. I generally wear a plain, solid t-shirt (or occasionally a printed shirt or a shirt with a logo of some sort) and knee-length shorts, or jeans or a knee-length or longer skirt. I generally wear either black flip-flops or black sneakers. (Though I do love going barefoot.) All of my socks are white. (Take that, sock monster who dwells in the dryer. )

I have slightly large handwriting that slants a little to the right. I write with my right hand and prefer a pen to a pencil. I usually talk loudly.

I am currently 5' 3 3/4" and the fraction is important, yes. I weigh 110, and I'm not afraid to say so. I am a Caucasian female, and my face is very narrow. My hairline is high, and my hair is light brown, not blonde, Brendan. ^_^ It has a slight wave to it, and my bangs curl when it's humid. My eyebrows are very dark, as are my eyelashes. My eyes are blue, almost blue-gray, and my skin is pale...either because I don't tan much or I haven't been outside much. Not sure which. My arms and legs are long and thin, my palms are large, and my fingers are long. I..guess my feet are big, since my arms are long. XD

That's all I can think of. :P

I forgot to mention my handwriting... it's very childish, and messy. It slants slightly, and each letter is often without uniformity. :P

I also have a slight dint in my forehead above my left eyebrow when I raise my eyebrows from a run in with a child's trolley when I was little.

That's basically what I have...except the cart was pushed by an old lady. ;)

I also forgot to add, I wear jeans and graphic tees and hiking boots everywhere...including church.

And my handwriting is worse than all your guyses. XD I'm hoping my letter makes it to Jay, in fact...because I had to write out the address. :P

I am 5'9 1/4 and am another mixed Caucasian race. My skin tint is yellow, so I tan easily and rarely burn. (I've been mistaken for an Egyptian before by an actual Egyptian guy. Best thing ever!)

I am thin but have broad shoulders and wide hips (courtesy of my mother) and I wear a size 11 (USA) in women's' shoes. My arms and legs are long and slender, and my hands are large and my fingers are long. I like to grow my nails out just past my fingertips because I love having them long. I used to bite my nails really badly until I quit when I was 16.

I have medium/thick, shoulder length, dark brown hair with natural coppery/gold highlights and straight cut bangs that often cover my eyebrows. My hair is naturally wavy when damp or wet, but the longer it grows the straighter the top layer of hair is (my hair is all one length: no layers.) My eyes are amber and awake? looking with medium length eyelashes. My eyebrows are dark as my hair and eyelashes. I have a long nose that often gives me a more mature and refined look than a young and cute look. I have a spatter of freckles across my cheekbones and dimples that turn into lines when I smile. I have straight teeth; the result of having braces twice due to a severe overbite as a child.

I'm usually dressed up because of work, but when I'm not working I love to wear dark wash jeans, a v-neck shirt (with a cami underneath), a sweatshirt, and my Woolies (aka thick wool socks). I tend to be a fashionista nowadays, which is a far cry from when I was 14 and a tomboy.

All righty. Since I started this whole business (well, actually it was Neil, but he needn't get blamed for everything ;) ), here's a general overview (or not so much) of my appearance.

My pedigree is random and varied, being Scottish, Welsh, and German on my mom's side, and Arab and Armenian (not Arminian  ) on my dad's side. The middle-eastern side won. I'm just under 5' 9" and have a slight build of 142 pounds (last time I checked), although I have been told that I am solid and muscular.

I have a dark tan-ish complexion, and therefore I rarely burn. I have medium-colored brown hair, although it's nearly black when wet, that is longer than a buzz and in need of brushing but short enough that if a little more was taken off, it would stand straight up and I'd look like a fool. It usually does this in the morning anyway, which really annoys me. My eyebrows are thick, my eyelashes are long, and both are the same color as my hair. I have hazel-ish eyes shaded more toward the green end, and they view the world through rectangular glasses whose color is classified as Matte Brown. My face is angular, and because I typically shave once a week, unless it's Sunday I have varying degrees of scruffiness. My nose is large and when I smile too wide, I get these aggravating dimples below my eyes.

My limbs are short and my joints are knobby, especially my knees and fingers. When I get married, I'm afraid once the ring goes on that I'll never get it off again. My hands are neither big nor small, but they currently have warts which appeared from nowhere and are stubbornly refusing to go away. I have normal teeth (thanks to braces) and ordinary ears. My feet are strange in that my left foot is shorter than my right by over a quarter inch, which may explain the vast sizes of footwear: 12 for rollerblades, 11 for hiking boots, and 10 or 10 1/2 for tennis shoes, snow boots, ice skates, and dress shoes. Also, my big toes are quite large in proportion to the others.

My lower legs are rather hairy, and my left shinbone is flatter than my right, due to a broken leg when I was 14. My broken leg also produced a small lump on the inside of my shin where the bones were offset when they fused (nothing could be done about it). The same leg also has four small scars from where holes were drilled for the screws that held the external fixator.

Many of my joints crack when flexed, especially my big toes, knuckles, spine, and elbows. I am not double-jointed, but I am ambidextrous, but only when playing Ping-Pong or tennis. My voice isn't deep at all, making me a baritone/tenor when I sing.

What I wear depends on where I am. At home I prefer shorts and a T-shirt in summer, and sweatpants, a T-shirt, and a long-sleeve in winter. When I go out, I dress less shabbily, and I always wear a dress shirt or polo shirt or nice sweater with dress pants or corduroys to church. When I get a suit, I will wear that.

Sorry for rambling. :pale: It's one of my worser (is that a word? o.O ) traits. :P

I am mostly German and have a mixture of other European blood. However, contrary to what many think, I do not have any Irish, English, or Scottish blood. I can't recall if I have any Welsh or not, but I don't think so. I am 5' 2-1/2" tall and weigh about 115 pounds. I am the shortest in my family, except my 23-month-old brother  .

I have fair skin that does not tan. It burns and gets freckles, but that's it. I have auburn hair that is naturally curly. Very curly. The only time it is straight is right after I wash my hair and comb it. Then it stays straight for about one minute, if even. My hair is very thick and I prefer having it layered so it doesn't "poof" too much.

My eyes are hazel and are framed by oval glasses frames that are a dark blueish gray. My face is mostly round. I have gaps in my teeth, a slight overbite, two large front teeth, and a crooked tooth. I went to an orthodontist when I was about 13 and it was too expensive. Plus the only reason he gave for me "needing" braces was for cosmetic reasons.

I generally wear a women's size 8 shoe, but have sometimes worn an 8-1/2 or 9. It depends on the brand of shoe. My elbows can hyper-extend slightly. I am not double-jointed.

I wear skirts or dresses unless absolutely necessary. My favorite dress is a medium blueish gray flower print dress in the pioneer style.

There! I did it! *wipes sweat off of forehead*

And my handwriting is worse than all your guyses. XD I'm hoping my letter makes it to Jay, in fact...because I had to write out the address. :P

I had to cross out my address on a letter and rewrite it. :P We can be bad-handwriting buddies. XD

Loving this guys!
Okay, here goes. ;)

I'm a 5'8-9" Caucasian female, I'm more on the heavy side of average weight. I have a stocky/sturdy frame. I'm an Irish/Scottish/English/Dutch/German/Czech mix, and my last name (Hajicek, pronounced Hi-check) is Czech. (Very proud of that one) I have fairly straight dark blond hair which I dye reddish brown. I just recently got it cut to about my shoulders. I have swooped to the side straight short-ish bangs, which are usually down, but sometimes I braid/twist them if they are too greasy to look presentable, down. I usually have my hair up in a messy bun or ponytail, but occasionally if I can get my hair to look good, I will wear it down. I have hazel green eyes, which look more brown than green sometimes. I have very large hands for an 11 year old, and longish fingers. I also bite my fingernails so they are, of course, short. :P My skin tans moderately, but in the winter I am very fair. I have average legs, and very scarred knees from crashing my bike too many times. My feet are callused on the soles, and I usually wear blue, black or red nail polish. I wear size size 9-11 (USA) in shoes and boots, and wear about 12s in Ice skates. I also have a keen interest in heeled boots, and converse shoes. ;) I have braces and not-often used reading glasses.

My chin is smooth, (No cleft) I have a sort of button, but more straight, now, nose, and average lips. I have long eyelashes and I usually wear eyeliner and mascara.

Around the house I'm usually wearing a T-shirt or tank top and sweatpants or jeans. When I'm out or at church, I'm usually wearing a nice blouse and jeans. I like wearing my white eyelet fedora, and army green military cap. My favorite color is blue and I have a small, white, fluffy, cute, awesome Bichon Frise puppy named Snowflake. :)

I also just learned to pineapple, and french braid, so at this stage in my life I have two pineapple braids down the side of my head going into a puffy ponytail. I also like doing a large french braid at an angle starting on one side of my head, and ending on the other side in a braid, ponytail or messy bun.

And that's all that I can think of for now.

I third that. It's cool to get a visual idea of people and not know them merely by the structure of their posts or their behaviors in chat. ^_^

Me too!

I'm tall - 5'8" - and on the heavier side of average at 170 pounds. (I like to claim that it's all muscle from swimming... which is maybe half true.) I have an hourglass figure, with a small waist and large hips. As far as heritage goes, I'm not really sure... I do know there's a lot of English on my dad/grandma's side, and that it eventually traces back to some French roots. My mom was adopted, so I have absolutely no idea on that front. :) Some people have told me I look slightly Native American, because my skin is extremely tan (sometimes I think I'm too tan). I have terrible tan lines from swimming, that include goggle marks around my eyes; you can always see strap tan lines, too, if I'm wearing a wide-necked shirt.

I have dark hair that only looks black when it's wet. At the moment it can't decide if it wants to be wavy or straight, but it's almost always on the poufy side, because it's ridiculously thick. I had it cut short last year, but it's already past my shoulder blades again. It's usually in a ponytail or loose bun, unless I feel like taking the time to straighten it or do something interesting with it (that doesn't happen a whole lot.) My eyebrows are the same color as my hair, and the same thickness. :P I get them waxed occasionally, because they drive me insane otherwise. My eyelashes are average length, and fairly thick. My eyes are dark brown, and they get really small when I smile. I usually wear a little bit of eye makeup to make them stand out more. My nose is pretty normal, but it looks wide when I smile, which kind of annoys me. I have high cheekbones. My mouth is also fairly normal, and my chin is prominent. I get lots of compliments on my smile, though the two teeth around my front teeth jut out a little bit, since my parents didn't feel like paying three grand for braces. :)

My shoulders are broad - so broad I frequently have trouble finding shirts. I'm long-waisted, but not short-legged. I have long fingers, with short fingernails (for piano). My feet are normal (size 9), I think. My toenails are usually painted bright blue, but I never paint my fingernails... it's distracting when I'm playing the piano. ;)

I almost always wear t-shirts and workout shorts (not really short ones), unless I'm going to youth group or church. Youth group usually means jeans and a nice shirt, with my Sperry's; church means a dress or skirt. Unless I'm going somewhere, I never wear shoes: they're basically just annoying feet cages. ;)

I just got a new belt last week. Can't remember how long my previous one (which I'm wearing right now) has lasted.

Uh... just go to my FB timeline. :D Description kills me.

I'm 5'9, 175 pounds, slightly broad shouldered, mildly out of shape and not muscular. My hair is dark brown with a subtle red tint, and my face is slightly red from windburn and razor burn. I have a small mustache at the moment, and the slight beginnings of a beard. :dieshappy: I have a few scars on my forehead, mostly accidents I don't remember, and some acne blemishes.

I can't think of anything else to say.

Well, Idril was the one who sticks out in my mind the most. :)

And whackem was exactly as I pictured him, minus the pointy beard. ;)

I am not very tall, and of a sort of medium build. My hands are a little short fingered, and they look like child’s hands. I keep the nails about a third of a cm long usually; I don't care whether they are short or long, but Jay says they look nice that way. Most of my 'beautifying' is done because either Mama or Jay want me to, I can't see that it changes much. * slightly wry look *

I have hair a little past my waist, that is principally brown but which is alternately tinted red or gold, depending on the light. Of course, sometimes it's just plain brown too. It is wavy or almost straight or almost curly, depending on what has happened to it in the last few days. It is quite thick. During the week I have it braided day and night, generally, and it gets considerably out of order, but I actually think I probably look better that way than when it is brushed. * wry * When we go out, or have company, I brush it and pull part of it back into a braid or a scrunchy.

My eyes are blue, not bright, almost greyish. I have quiet eyebrows. There is a little brown mark almost right in the middle of my forehead. I don't have a fringe, so my forehead is always visible. My nose is a baby nose, round and with absolutely no grown up definition to it – I think it got left behind when the rest of me started growing up. I have roundish, squarish face, and a subliminal chin. I used to smile a lot, but I think I got out of the habit in the past half a year. I still laugh a lot. My eyes are either laughing or serious now.

I wear whatever I can get my hands on, which isn't much, but by some magic most of it fits my idea of what I like to wear. * smiles * It is mostly dark colors and decidedly un-funky, plain and simple. Right now I am wearing a collared, light blue shirt with cuffless (I finished 'em myself because of a factory flaw :)), elbow length sleeves, and a very simple, dark-plaid jumper down to the tops of my feet. My bare feet. ;) It may be October, but I don't put shoes on unless compelled.

I talk very quietly, and not very much, unless I am sparring with Josiah or Patrick. When I am out in public I don't talk at all – not that I don't want to. My mind just goes utterly blank, and I couldn't think of an original thing to say if I would be rewarded by a hundred dollars. I make shift small talk if someone starts it, though, as best as I can.

And my handwriting is very plain and boring, but easy to read. If I write really fast it is not so easy, however it is easily decipherable even then.

And there I am. :)

That's a beautiful description, Juliet! I can almost imagine what you look like and how you act. :)

*laughs because she has seen multiple pictures of Juliet and thinks this is pretty accurate *

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Redemption is to be purchased, to have a price paid. So I was redeemed from my master sin, and from justice, which demanded my death. For He paid the price of sin by becoming sin, and met the demands of justice by dying for us.

For all men have a master. But a man cannot have two masters. For he will love one and hate the other. You cannot serve God and sin. So I die to the old, as He died, and I am resurrected to the new, as He was resurrected.

Note: Ebed is Hebrew for bondsman, Eleutheros is Greek for unrestrained (not a slave).

I'm Dutch. That is pretty much the description of me; tall, broad-shouldered, blond, etc. Sorry, no age, but apparently I'm too tall for my age. XD I also like hot cocoa. Or anything chocolate. Green is my favorite color, and it's almost freaky how I can just 'sense' when something green is near. (creeps out the siblings ;) ) I have a military-like appearance, and enjoy collecting survival gear and military surplus. Hehe.

I think that's it.
