I'm sick. Which means my brain function is slightly above that of an average cantaloupe. I can no longer do the things I need to do, but get to relax. Leisure time!

It turns out my definition of leisure time is "Starting an intensive scene-by-scene movie analysis to figure out what makes Avengers tick."

When I commented to Cat (aka Amanda Kondrael) that I had an odd definition of leisure time, she answered, "That you do. Then again, so do I and everyone on HW." Sounded like a thread idea to me.

What is YOUR definition of leisure time?

Well, generally speaking, it's any time I can get away from people and talk to my Mouse. ;) It's also really fun and relaxing to practice new drawing techniques. :D

Leisure time is any time I get to use for HW, writing, reading, drawing, etc. ;)

Leisure time differs. If I'm on the internet, browsing blogs, writing stuff, chatting, is leisure time.

If I'm with my siblings, things tend to get more interesting. ;) We usually have Wars of Wit, in which we spar with each other verbally (but we're still good friends and siblings after!). Or we toss our random book titles and then guess the author (whoever has the most wins!). Or we debate about a character and say what we like most about him/her. Or we discuss a recent soccer game that we just watched. It differs, really. :dieshappy:

Leisure time is when I stop/give up on/get sick/tired of working on whatever and all of it and start doing stuff on HW, skype, or playing video games instead. ;) :P

Nice.

My definition of leisure time varies and can include the relief of finishing a book and enjoying a couple weeks off; getting away from my work and doing fun things such as playing frisbee or soccer, or hiking, or ice skating, or going on a drive in the mountains, or playing the piano, or watching a movie, or hanging out in chat. :D Pretty much anything that gives me a break from the constant pressure of writing and preparing to publish, and planning, and strategizing, and worrying about filling my page quota for the day and week and month.

So yeah, you get the picture.

What's leisure time? * grins * I never do anything that I am not supposed to be doing for a specific reason. The rare occasions that I do, I feel extremely guilty and abstain for the next six months. * sighs *

*likes the descriptions of HWers leisure time* :D

My personal leisure time includes - but is not limited to - reading, playing the guitar, singing, catching up with HW, blogs, and people online, Photoshoppping (for fun, is very therapeutic), and playing the piano.

Other leisure time is with family, and it's mostly on a weekend where we don't use the internet. We lie around and read, watch movies together, chat, climb trees, fire things that go bang, throw rocks in the dam, kick a ball around, have wit wars like Idril :D, see how many movie quotes we can string together in a row, and basically have an all round fun chatty hang out time. :D

Hmmm... My definition of liesure time is being able to play the piano, read non-school-related books (which sadly happens too infrequently during the school year :(), playing boardgames with the family or with friends, and being able to write and outline (especially if outlining means drawing a map. I love drawing maps. :D)

Reading a book, watching a movie either with my family or on my own, sitting chatting with family. Catching up on Holy Worlds, spending time with friends. I do enjoy walking Pippin, and find it relaxing as long as it's not raining or freezing cold; and as writing is done on the side of my job, I find that nice and relaxing too when compared to grooming dogs. :)
