Her improvement continues - the weekend shift nurse was really excited about her progress, which from her perspective was significant. Sometimes it's harder for those of us with her every day to see it.
Last night she moved her toes for the first time on request by the nurses. Twice!
Thanks for all your prayers... God is being glorified through this.

Just two or three weeks ago Noelle posted on Facebook that God's plans were better than hers.
She was soooo right.

Noelle is going to be flown to Maddona Rehab Hospital in Lincoln Nebraska Thursday morning.

That's so tough, Eli. I will be praying for both you, Noelle and both your families. When you get so close to someone like that, a bond has formed and it's heart wrenching when it's broken. I've seen it first hand, so I can understand what you're going through. God will be your strength and your comfort through all this.

I've not posted yet because I really didn't know who Noelle was… But I've been watching the updates, and slowly I've come to realize that I don't need to know who she is to pray for her, or for Eli, or for either family.

So I am. Hard.

Today has been a real tear-jerker...the good kind. The physical therapists got Noelle to sit up on the side of her bed. She looked so proud! Then they were able to get her to stand up! They were expecting to have to do all the lifting, but she was helping with all her might. Her eyes were smiling so big. Michelle and I were tearing up with joy!

While she was standing, we each had a turn with a one armed hug since she can only move her left arm as yet. After that, they got her into a special wheel chair and removed her neck brace so Michelle could brush her hair and braid it. It was obvious she was enjoying having her hair brushed.

I had the chance to play guitar for her again, and one of the therapists asked her if she wanted to give me another hug. She reached out to me with her left arm for another hug.

Michelle will be staying up here with her. I'm going to be leaving for home soon, and hoping for another hug before leaving!
