Early spring, that's the second time I've heard that. Has he changed the release date?

* sing-song voice * The hard drive belonging to Andrew Peterson died...!

The date is apparently still set for spring. * points up to link *

*faints* *recovers* *stares wide-eyed* It DIED?! And he doesn't even seem fazed. Wow. My comp has died many times and many times I have lost work because of it...but only like a couple chapters worth--and I freaked out each time.

(Okay, sidenote here: Just got the new AP cd and it's awesome--well worth some of my dwindling, hard-earned cash)

Does anyone know the specific date for when The Warden and the Wolf King comes out? Last I heard it was in the Spring, but I have't heard anything since then...

Last I heard was sometime in the spring too, Bethany. However, since the whole 'murder of AP's hard drive' and the fact that he once commented somewhere--possibly on the Wingfeather site itself--that writing the third book was like pushing a semi truck uphill, I'm really not sure. Sorry.

Update!

See:
http://wingfeathersaga.com/?p=1142

[and]

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/478789344/the-warden-and-the-wolf-king

ACK!

(Only this is, I'm disappointed that it appears Justin Gerard is leaving or has left the project. I love his illustrations so much.)

Don't read this next bit if you haven't read the teaser on the Kickstarter site or finished the third book:
I have a sinking feeling that Artham is going to die in the last book and it makes me feel like bawling. I love the former Sock-Man so much, but as he is the old Throne Warden, and considering all he's done for the others, I have this terrible idea that he's going to die saving everybody one last time. :bawl:

YES! And this draft is currently over 120K words.

I too will be sad to see Justin Gerard go, but I'm excited for Joe Sutphin's work. :) His art has a similar quality as that of AP's, in my opinion.

In response to the above spoiler: You, my dear, have just struck such terror into my heart. :bawl:

Yeah, I'm not so bummed now that I finally got to see the video connected to the post, which shows more of his art. He's very good and it fits the stories well. (I'll still miss JG's art a bit though.)

I know, isn't it dreadful? :bawl:

*nods* Same, same.

In other news, we made it to Pembrick's Creaturepedia! *screams in excitement!* :dieshappy:

Yes! :bawl:

Hey, to all you Instagram-ers, AP's new contributing artist (Joe Sutphin) has been posting character sketches and other misc art on his Instagram, and they are spectacular!

(Well, most of them. Honestly, some of them I'm like...uh, no. But others--like his portrait of Nia are just too fabulous for words. I still am going to miss JG's art, but Sutphin is a great talent and you other fans should totally go check out his work! (And I'm not on Instagram officially, so I've no idea how you can find him apart from just...searching for him.)

If you've seen the pictures and read book #3:
There are more cloven! Do you see all the cloven? There are 'elders' and...and...there's a bunch of them! I believe that they are former citizens of Anniera, (notice they are all half some animal and half human--just like Esben and Artham!

Ooh... I'm really excited! I didn't get to donate but I'll be getting the fourth book. I wonder how big it is.
