I will tell. If you haven't read his book, you need to. It is published by Marcher Lord Press (headed by Jeff Gerke, and awesome guy), which is an awesome publisher.

Kirk Outerbridge. Author of Eternity Falls. One of the best written books I have read in a loong time. :)

Oh, subforums are easy. But where do you want me to discuss it? Here? There? Somewhere in between?

That's wonderfully exciting!!

Got it. I can get conversations rolling. I'm in the thick of a would-be sci-fi novel, so I have questions I could turn into topics. :)

Before signing up, I do have a general question, though.

Are most of you planning to use the same username on both forums? It would be easier to keep track of people that way, but some usernames (and avatars) on this board are distinctly medieval, for obvious reasons. If I want to use the same username on both sides, I might pick something that's more middle of the road. Just curious what other people are doing.

I chose a completely different name, but I may put something in my sig-line giving people a pointer to who I am. Like, aka Elanhil/Merashath/Caleb/ID-678/Josiah.

Wow, I've racked up quite a few names! :D

I think I want to be the same in both places as well, for my sanity if nothing else. Which means I want to change my username overhere to something middle-of-the-road... argh, well, better to do it now when I've just joined, then later and confuse everyone. :)

Thanks!

Yup. It also won the Carol award. So we got an award-winning author on board. :D

Well, we need to figure out the final resting place for names and organization. Do you have access to the Management folder?

We also need the custom fields to be synced with HW, with one added: what is your username, if any, on HWF? :)

And we could make one in here: what is your username on HWS-F? :D Except, would that require everybody here having to go in and change it?

I am so so excited!!!!!!!!!!!! I like Sci-fi, I write sci-fi, and this is basically dream come to true!! \(^_^)/ *Is going to stop before all decorum is lost*

I'm using the name here over there as well. (See I kept it on topic! barely.) Then again I might go with something more Sci-fi-ish, but that will be a later date.

I have access to the management folder, my username is Varon over there too. I don't know how much I'll be able to do with no coding knowledge.

Wow, the forum looks good! Is it ready enough for me to start telling people about it? Will there be a link on the home page now? Will it have its own blog, or share one with Holy Worlds Fantasy?

And just so you know, Sir Emeth, if you ever start a Holy Worlds Historical Fiction, count me in! :D

Wow! I checked out the sci-fi forum yesterday or the day before, and it looked bland. Unimpressive. Generic. But I just went on a few minutes ago and . . . wow. It looks fantastic! Great job, guys! :D

I signed up over there, so if there's anything to do, let me know. I have no knowledge of anything technical, but at least I can try to be moral support. ;)

Not quite ready for promotion yet. The Council has some stuff we are going to be announcing on here and on there before we let our thread-makers have at the empty forums. I am also wanting to get the cookie settings fixed before we start promoting, as well.

But we are very close. :)

A Historical Fiction site has been in my mind, actually. We shall see.

It will have its own home page and blog, yes. And probably its own promo vid... but that might be a while.

Shouldn't Holy Worlds have a homepage? Just like the one you've got, only on one side it says fantasy and on the other it says scifi. And shouldn't there be some kind of About Us or Who We Are or Goals or something that's got general information on it? There's not really much to figure out what in the world this forum/organization is all about without making some guesses and reading a lot.

Has anyone thought about putting a link to Holy World’s Sci-Fi from Holy World’s Fantasy, and vice versa? They are sister sites after all. Maybe next to the blog/forum/promo video we could put something so if you click on it it will link you over to the Sci-Fi blog and Forum. Just a thought.

Wow...your brother sounds like one cool guy if he uses words like 'fourthified'...because I do to! :D Though I was the one to second it, I'll fifth it.

I went ahead and registered, but I'm not sure how much I'll post. I've never tried writing any sci-fi before, so... I guess we'll see! I might end up being sucked into it! :D
