Are any of you Holy Worlders planning to go to the Arlington Homeschool Book Fair? I think my family and I are going. Is there any slight chance of meeting you there? :D

Not the slightest, I'm afraid. :(

Arlington... I might be there. I'm going to be working OYAN's booth at a big convention in May... *tries to remember if it's Arlington* It would be so fun to meet you there, if that's it! :D

Really? Yay! I really hope that's the right book fair, because I will hunt the place up and down for that OYAN booth.

Aaaaaand we met!

After exchanging a few PMs to confirm, I waited excitedly for the day to arrive. On Saturday (the second day of the book fair), I woke up bright and early, and rode with my mom and some of my siblings to the convention center.

Once arriving there, I had to work for two hours in the pre-registration booth, to pay my way to the book fair. While I did that, I looked at the map and figured out where the One Year Adventure Novel booth was. Once my duties were over, I decided to attend one of the seminars going on; it sounded interesting, and it was. :) Then, finally, I could go find Grace! But first, I had to find my sister, who was also excited about meeting a Holy Worlder. After wandering around the huge place, among all the booths, I found my sister and, though there was another interesting seminar in fifteen minutes, we decided to go find Grace first.

I remembered where the spot on the map had been, and led the way there. We spotted the booth. As I hung a short way back, waiting for some people to clear out, I spotted a young lady in the booth who was shorter than me, with long, dark, curly hair, a lovely smile, and a name tag that said "Grace Pennington".

[Grace? Do you want to give your POV before I continue? :D]

*grins* Sure!

I was very excited to meet Aemi, and I knew she knew we were working at OYAN, so I wasn't worried about meeting up. Then on Friday I kept looking for her, and I didn't find her, so I started getting worried. Was my booth that hard to find? o.O ;) Then it occurred to me that maybe they were just coming on Saturday. But just in case, I PMed and emailed her that night.

But I needn't have worried, because the next day, after keeping an eye out for awhile, I saw a pretty, tall, red-haired girl standing in front of my booth, smiling, and knew it must be her. :D So I scooted right out and hugged her, then got to meet two of her sisters, too! They had to rush right off for a seminar, but promised to come back. ^_^

(Carry on, Aemi ;))

Okay!

After I stood there for a minute, Grace spotted me, grinned, and, like she said, hurried over and gave me a hug. We introduced each other to our siblings, then my sisters and I went to the seminar. Afterwords, it was lunch time, so my family and I hiked out to our van to eat. Then my sisters and I were finally able to get back to the OYAN booth.

They were not as busy as they had been that morning, so Grace and her sister came out from behind the counter and we stood in a group. First we talked about the curriculum they were selling, which was interesting and seemed very fun. We talked about the antique typewriter they had sitting on the counter, too. We gradually found out more about each other... [to be continued :)]

Oh! I'm so sorry, I didn't realize I was supposed to say something. Um... what she said. They came and we met, but they had to go right off to a session, so I waited around for a bit, walked around the convention (keeping an eye out for them ;)) and waited. They came back after awhile, and we stood around talking for a good long while, having lots of fun and finding we had lots in common! :)

(I need to find those pictures...)

Oh, yeah, the pictures! I forgot about those. :)

So, we talked about our cute siblings, mostly. :) We also talked about writing, and I made sure to give Grace compliments on her recording of the Red Rain audiobook. :D But mostly, we talked about our families. My eleven-year-old twin brothers stopped by the booth to exclaim over the old typewriter, and I think Grace enjoyed meeting them, too. :) We talked for quite a while. Finally, I think my sister and I had to leave, to meet up with our family. So we said goodbye and hugged again.

And I think that's the whole story. Unless Grace remembers details I forgot. ;)

Yes, it was super fun! :D Aemi was so nice, as were her sisters, and we had great fun chatting. And yes, it was fun to have her little brothers come explore the typewriter... they were among the few kids who politely asked if they could look at it, and thanked us for letting them. :D

I also have some pictures I need to find and share.
