This is the Ald'Lib the Good Book the Bible of my world, and if that is not enough to stop you then the man holding it is both powerful and crazy enough to face a Dra'Gon in one on one combat and prevail! Diki: * watches with slight amusement * Never? Noone has ever disliked you before? I find that difficult to understand.

Me: Diki.... You know, maybe I should bring a different character in here.

Me: Diki's fun. Makes my characters show their irritated side. ^^

Seymour: I have plenty of people who dislike me. I have lived my whole life being disliked by those with whom I share blood.

Me: Seymour, you're making yourself sound like a vampire. He's half-Elf, and the Elves do not like them. At all. So he's used to being disliked, hated even. He's just overreacting.

Seymour: Overreacting?!

Me: Point proven. He didn't expect dislike outside his world. He knows how being disliked feels, just not here. Which is odd, cause he was surrounded by villains a while back-

Seymour: OK, I overreacted! Can you move on to someone else?

Rynx: [A flash of what looks like fear flits across his eyes, but soon disappears before anyone notices] That does not scare me, mortal. I have come in contact with monsters and light-beings you could never dream of encountering. A small book does not inflict the least bit of fear.

Thaeren: He's going to shoot off his mouth before long.

Me: Probably what got him locked in the stone in the first place. Feel free to whack him, Lyr'Ous.

Rynx: Hey!

Diki: Hate because of race is not quite the same as irritation because of –

Me: Diki, you need someone to scold you. There is absolutely no reason why you should dislike Seymour. He is nice. At least he is trying to be nice, and if he did happen to accidentally annoy you several pages ago, that is no reason to try to insult him. Tarkas doesn't even want to talk to you anyway, the way you are.

Diki: * says absolutely nothing and sits with his back to a tree *

Me * leans head in hands for a moment * Diki...why...? Diki – why can't you just – let –

Diki: Be silent. <his black eyes are hard and angry, and he does not look at me> I do not wish to speak to you, woman.

Lyr'Ous- (Looks at Rynx, snickers, and rolls his eyes. He puts the book away, and then faces Seymour) I'm sorry that you must deal with such adversity in your world.

Rynx: [Snarls and jumps forward] Don't you turn your back on me! We're not done!

Me: Not done with what?

Rynx: You are questioning ME?

Me: Yes, 'cause you're not making any sense.

Thaeren:

Seymour: [Smiles slightly] Thank you. It has been that way since our first parents wed and birthed the first half-Elves. But over time, we have learned to live with it. We've learned that so long as we don't stick our noses into other people's business, we don't get attacked.

Tarkas: Unless it's by Meriak.

Seymour: True. Those monsters attack just because they feel like it.

Lyr'Ous- (pays Rynx no heed and turns to Seymour) You know, recently I discovered I was of half blood. You can barely tell, save for my wretched temper, but I am half Di'Fir'An. I guess you could see them as our world's equivalent to dark elves? (after hearing the comment about Meriak, he turns to Tarkus) Over the years, I have known no creature that attacks purely because it wishes to save Dea'Mon. Well, perhaps even they have reasons, though they be unnatural and wicked. Beasts attack in order to feed and survive, while men fight for numerous reasons; some wicked, some righteous, and most foolish. I doubt these-Mer'Eak was it?-are without reason.

Lyr'Ous- Was it something I said...

Me: Nothing you said. I completely forgot about this place.

Rynx: Glad to see we're loved. [Glares at Lyr'Ous] I'm warning you. Don't ignore me!

Thaeren: Drop it.

Rynx: No, I won't drop it!

Seymour: [To Lyr'Ous] You are half-Elf, too?

Tarkas: Meriak are evil through and through. Usually they attack to feed on their victim's fear, but sometimes they attack without cause.

Lyr'Ous- (Further ignoring Rynx and directing his attention back at Seymour.) Yes, from what I understand, you could say that. Mon'An are very much like what you call elves. They have pointed ears and are taller than mortal men. They also don't "die". Instead they fade away, giving up their mortal form when Yah calls them to his High place. However if you were to make a more accurate comparison, I'd be half "Dark Elf", as Di'Fir'An have grey skin, pale hair and often red, green, or yellow eyes. (Lyr'Ous takes hold of the blonde streak in his hair, the rest of his hair being a dark red.) This is actually natural, not a dyed product of two parents who aren't exactly the same species. I am also shorter than both of my parents due to stunted growth, another product of half breeding. I inherited the dark green Di'Fir'An witch eyes but not the pointed ears. Also, as you can see, I don't exactly tan either. (Holds out his pale arm). The funny thing is I just now found out about all this! I never met my mother and the Di'Fir'An are very isolated, being in the corrupted lands tucked behind the Great Southern wall and all. Sorry, I tend to ramble on when people are interested. (Seems not to notice Tarkus's statement about the Meriak as he is too busy rambling to Seymour about his heritage.)

Seymour: Interesting. You have a quite the mix of heritages. Are you accepted into both races?

Rynx: I will not be ignored! [Leaps forward]

Thaeren: [Knocks him sideways] Not here!

Tarkas: [Sheds his shoes and shirt and jumps into the water]

Me: Can he swim?

Lyr'Ous- Most humans can't even tell that I'm not "pure", and seeing as I have yet to have made contact with my discovery of my heritage, I don't really know how they feel. However, the Di'Fir'An don't put much stock in blood. If you are strong, they will accept you. If not, they shun you. So far i have been welcomed with open arms by the Di'Fir'An people. While I would expect humans to be more hesitant however, as a shepherd I command great respect so i would think most would keep their prejudices to themselves in my presence.

*green dragon flies in, lands with a thump and glances around* Okay. That does it. Where am I now? Perp?!

Me: It wasn't him this time, Iye.

*dragon glances over* I thought you didn't believe he existed.

Me: *sighing* Not important. I brought you here. Say hi to everyone.

Iye: *blinks* There's a cat over there.

Me: So?

Iye: Nothing. I just thought I should mention it.

Me: Consider it mentioned. Now move on.

Iye: There is also someone swimming. *frowns, regarding* As a dragon, I don't spend much time in water, but does swimming often involve all that thrashing around?

Me: Usually, I suppose.

Iye: Ah. I just wondered. Hello, everyone; cat; person-swimming-for-no-apparent-reason.

Tarkas: [Head pokes out of the water] What? I'm bored.

Me: How can you swim? I don't think there's a big enough water source for that in the forest.

Seymour: There probably should be.

Me: Very true.

Rynx: Oh that's it! [Leaps at Lyr'Ous]

Thaeren: Why am I the rational one here?! Will you knock it off? You're going to get yourself killed!

Rynx: I cannot die, fool!

Me: Bet you a dollar you can.

Rynx: ...

Seymour: So one's strength determines his or her acceptance in your world?

Lyr'Ous- (Without turning his gaze from Seymour Lyr'Ous makes a bowing movement where both his hands extend out behind him on his right side. The Water Tarkus is swimming in springs to life in a wave like motion all of it wraps around behind Lyr'Ous in a fluid barrier) Well no every culture in my world has a different opinion of what makes someone valuable. To the Di'Fir'An that is power, To the Wol'V'An and the Alliance it is integrity, To the Empire it is service and lineage, While Tal'Ah and the New Faith subscribe to the belief that all people are valuable. As a shepherd of the New Faith I personally subscribe to that notion, however I do not judge the Di'Fir'An for their cultural beliefs survival in the face of a great evil is all they have ever known. Aggression their only way of survival. Tis a sad fate, one I intend to correct.

Tarkas: Whoa! [Scrambles to get out the water] Did I make it angry?!

Rynx: [Still struggling with Thaeren]

Me: Maybe it was a bad idea to bring him... Rynx, go find someone else to antagonize.

Seymour: I see. So your people accept you mainly because you are their shepherd?

Lyr'Ous- (Lyr'Ous allows the water back where it belongs) i apologize Tarkus. I do not pretend to know the reasons behind others acceptance of me I merely am accepted or have been for most of my life. My statement about being a holy man was not saying I'd be better accepted just that those who with prejudices would be less likely to vocalize them.

Iye: *appears a bit unnerved by the water spectacle* Oh, my... well...

Me: Oh just go chill out and hush, could you? I find this interesting.

Iye: What? The water thing? Yes, that was very interesting.

Me: No, the discussion.

Iye: What discussion?

Me: You are acting almost as bad as Faylin when I brought him in here.

Iye: Ha. You brought Faylin here? That old grump? I don't understand why you like him so much. As a supporting character, I am ever so much cooler.

Me: Whatever. You both are impossible and I don't know why I put up with you.

Iye: I don't know either. However, when an individual is already in the habit of talking to one's self, then havng alternate characters with differing personalities serves to liven things up considerably.

Me: Thank you for clearing that up for me.

Me: Look a few pages back I was having the same problem.

Cat: *Eyes get wide, backs up, and shakes his head, cocks it to the side, then bats at his ear with his forepaw.*
Catherine: Wha-What??

Me: Sorry... /: I fell behind. So you both really don't have a good idea as to what happened because I just skimmed.

Lyr'Ous- The little demon, Rynx, and I had a disagreement. I chose to ignore him. This caused him to become agitated and strike me from behind. I instinctively formed a barrier. However, that was all for nothing as Rynx had already been caught.

Me: What. Are you still here?

Iye: Well, you brought me here. I could be traveling the worlds and times with Perpendicular, but you felt that I needed to come in here and 'socialize', as if running around with all the goofs you come up with doesn't already make me more sociable than most.

Me: You know, you are so much less wordy in UtFF.

Iye: In what?

Me: *heaving great sigh and gazing heavenward* Your [i]story[i].

Iye: Ah, Roger.

Me: Where did you pick that up anyway?

Iye: You.

Me: Oh come on, I never say 'Roger'.

Iye: *gives pointed stare in silence*

Me: Well, maybe once in a while.

Sorry I haven't been here much, but I really don't like it when my characters get mad at me, and especially when Diki gets mad at me, so I've been sort of hiding... Maybe I'll just have Rwebhu take over trying to handle him.

Lyr'Ous- (Is hit by the rock however it does not seem to faze him) Greetings Antreo, my name is Brother Shepherd Lyr'Ous Ab'Sul. You may call me Lyr'Ous or Brother Lyr'Ous if you like. (Lyr'Ous outstretches a dirt covered hand)

Antreo: *stares at Lyr'Ous's dirty hand* *shakes hands tentatively* Antreo Raseild, son of Heur the second. *surreptitiously wipes hand on handkerchief*

Me: I'm entering CRP... the world will probably self destruct any minute now.

Me: Sorry about that. He can be a little rude.

Natalia: *grumbles* I'm here too...

Tarkas: Hi Natalia! The water's perfect!

Me: Methinks the lad be a tad bored.

Tarkas: Well, yeah, you shooed away the only character of yours who's remotely close to my age!

Me: ....

Thaeren: [Shoves Rynx under a heavy rug] Jianuo are small, fox-like animals. The race in itself isn't very interesting. It's the Aesceil that give Jianuo life a touch of excitement. If you're lucky enough to be one. But Jianuo are basically foxes, but smaller.

Me: Rynx isn't technically a Jianuo. He has the form of one, but he's a demon. Long story, which involves him. [Points to Thaeren] And his little brother, who's off treasure hunting.

Rynx: [Muffled protests emit from under the rug]

Natalia: *removes shoes and sits on the edge of the water, dangling toes in lake and waiting for someone to talk to her*

Antreo: *bows elaborately* Welcome, Lord Michael, Lady Natalia.

Natalia: *curtsies* Hello!

Michael: *ignores Natalia*

Me: Why do I have the feeling that I'm going to be apologizing for Michael a lot?

Michael: *nods in understanding* But they still have the gift of speech, that shows that they have some miniscule measure of worth at least.

Michael: *pays attention to Aris for the first time* Interesting. I must discuss with Rynx sometime.

Iye: Why, is this the lovely Natalia--though mostly referred to as 'N'--whom my own dear author has so recently been talking about?

Me: *blinking* What's gotten into you? Isn't that just a touch...flowery?

Iye: Pish-posh. I was speaking to the lady--and I might as well use flowery speech, as is proper of a dragon when addressing a lady of good standing. But then, you might not realize that, given that you allowed but a sparse scattering of females of any sort in my own tale.

Me: Wait one second, it's not your tale to begin with.

Iye: Well, that's what you called it.

Me: Yes, but I meant that it is the one you are in. You make it sound like you're the main character.

Iye: Which I should be.

Me: I thought you liked Nikk.

Iye: I do. But you are getting off subject.

Me: Feel free to discuss with Runx anytime. He needs to be distracted from thoughts of throttling Lyr'Ous. It'll save lives.

Tarkas: Lives?

Me: Yes. Rynx's and Lyr'Ous's.

Michael: (@Antreo) It is a board game. Two opponents have a set of playing pieces representing opposing armies and use their army to attack the opponent's army. The player who captures the enemy's 'king' wins. Perhaps it or something similar is referred to by a different name in your world?
*glances at Iye*
@Aris *nods* I shall do so the next time he deigns to come out from under that rug.

Lyr'Ous- (Looks at Micheal crossing his arms) All life has value.

Antreo: (@Michael) In the northern countries, perhaps, this game is played, I did not spend enough time in the northern courts to tell. I could see it being very popular there. However, Nalycia values peace, and war games are rarely played.

Michael: (@Dawnbringer) *hums the sound 'ahuh'* Whatever you say.
(@Antreo) *adjusts glasses before turning away* Pity. *heads over to the rug Rynx is trapped under, sits next to it, and pulls out a sketch pad and pencil; starts sketching*

Me: I wonder if I should reel Michael in some... Nah.

Natalia: *still frozen, staring at Iye*
Me: Oh come now, he won't hurt you.
