Okay, I don't have enough time right now to post the entire tech of my world, I will make this ongoing. I'll start with weaponry.

Spears: There are several variations of spears: pikes (8-10 ft. long), spears (5-7 ft. long), javelins (4-6 ft. long), and bills which are a unique type with a 4-5 ft. long shaft with a 1 or 2 ft. blade like that of a machete on the end. Pikes are used for horse combat or infantry. Spears are the same. Javelins are built light specifically for throwing and are often simply wooden sticks that are sharpened; they have points on both ends. Bills are made for hacking and slicing and are used only by an elite corps in the Tanguan army.

Swords: Swords also have several variations: sabers (3-4 ft. curved blades), long swords (4-5 ft. long), and short swords (about 2 1/2 ft. long). Their purposes seem kind of obvious.

Bows: Longbows, crossbows, recurve bows, etc. are not changed from what they would be in our world. There is one difference though, there is a small bow, typically used by assassins and the like, known as the quarrelbow. It is shaped like a crossbow and its size depends on what the user wants, usually between 6 and 10 in.

Knives: There are two types of knives, excluding kitchen knives, long knives and assassin knives. Long knives are anywhere from 2 to 2 1/2 ft. long. Assassin knives are 6-9 in. long and look like a dagger cut in half lengthwise with a jagged edge. Long knives are often used for one-on-one combat, but are also used in battle scenes occasionally. Assassin knives are used by thieves and assassins.

Dagger: self-explanatory

Maces: There are three different types of maces: the spiked mace, the blunt mace, and the flail. The Spiked mace is about 2 1/2 ft. long. the end is a sphere which is covered in spikes. The blunt mace is the same length with either a sphere without spikes on the end of it. The other form of blunt maces is hard to describe, so here is a picture.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Maza_de_armas.jpg Flails are a metal pole of about a foot attached to a chain which is attached to a smaller spiked metal sphere. All of these are used for smashing and denting armor.

Axes: There are three different kinds of axes: halberds, hatchets, and battle axes, which have two different variants. Halberds are just a small axe head on a metal pole that tapers to a point just above the axe-head. They range from 5-10 ft. long. Hatchets are small axes, 1-2 ft. long, that are often used for throwing. Battle axes can either be double-bladed or single-bladed. They are both anywhere between 3-4 1/2 ft. long and double-bladed axes can be as much as 3 ft. across. Halberds can be used by cavalry or spear men and are especially useful for fortress defense. Battles axes are best in the thick of combat.

Hammers: Just big sledgehammers used for smashing like the blunt mace.

Even if your avatar description didn't say you were male I would know. You're detailed description of your weapons gives you away! I think you did a good job, and were very thorough.

We seem to have a lot of brother/sister, twins, brothers, sisters, (and anything else I missed?) on this forum. Lots of family. Great job on your weaponry, Griffin, reminds me I should probably do some work on that myself. :D

I suppose they could, but none of my main characters do regularly.
We have a pair of self-proclaimed twins?

Okay, I finally got back to this. This time I'll talk about modes of transportation.

Horses are often used and various types of carts are used. Carts are anywhere from two-wheeled to four-wheeled.

Gryphins are also used, but not everyone can fly a Gryphin. Gryphins will typically bond with the first human they see and that is the only one who can ride them. Occasionally, a Gryphin will have its rider die and under extreme situations, bond with another human.

Steam has not yet been discovered as useful.

Ships are fairly advanced. Clipper ships are smaller, but fast. Cogs are relatively small ships typically used by traders. They are sturdy, but slow. Fireships are modified ships that spew out oil on fire. Toward the front of the ship, there is a iron room that oil is pumped into. The ship's crew sets the oil on fire and use two giant bellows operate by six men each to jet the oil out of an iron siphon on the front of ship onto another ship, setting it on fire. Galleons are large ships with several decks, but instead of cannons, since gunpowder has not been discovered as of yet, the holes in the sides of the ship have very large crossbows. These crossbows to not always have large bolts in them, but some have either a wooden square or a wooden ball covered in iron on the end of a pole, to provide maximum damage to the opposing ship.

A vehicle with pedals is used, but it has four wheels instead of two, like the bike. The pedals rotate the front wheels and a stick attached to another stick attached to the wheels is how the mechanism is turned.

Other animals like donkeys or camels are also used for transportation are also used, but that's about it.
