I noticed that several people have mentioned the fact that they found people who looked a lot like their characters.

So how about a topic for showing us those pics? ;)

Drawings, edited photos, actual photos, celebrities, or whatever. Just maintain standards of modesty etc. :)

Here we go:
These are some pictures of a random dude ( ;) ) I saw working at a food booth in Newport, IN. I don't know who he is. I don't particularly care. :) But he looked almost exactly like Iri, my MC No. 3. Iri would be a little leaner in the face, but overall this was him.

It was really funny, because we were watching him (like stalkers  ) and he had a lot of personality that came out in his actions. He looked very, very confident. Never stopped to think. Flipped the hair out of his eyes every few minutes. He was cool and he knew it. :D And that is so Iri.

I shall do my other MCs shortly. *waltzes off to a TSfH piece of epic* :D

You are such a stalker Lady E! I can't believe you did that! It is so hilariously crazed authorish (yeah, I know, those three words together are a little much but I don't care, they work!). That will go in my Memoirs of an Author notebook.

Oh E, that's hilarious! :D

I knew you've talked about that, but still, I never thought you'd actually go take pictures of a random person. Wow! I'm laughing out loud right now.

I hope that guy never joins HW. ;)

Aha! I have found and transferred it! (If any of you are wondering why Dani in this pic has wavy-ish hair, and she has curly hair in the book, it is because her hair is longer in this pic, and the weight of it reduced the "bouncy-ness" of it. ;)) It isn't as good as I had hoped, and I don't have a tool to layer backgrounds, but here it is!

Lady E: That...is creepy. What would you do if I told you I knew this guy, that he was one of my best friends? :D

Haha! So Lady E, you'd post that poor guys pictures to Holy Worlds, but not on Facebook? I knew you were going to burst if you couldn't find enough people to tell. ;)

I have a few pictures that I thought I'd share. However my drawings are varied in which characters actually get finished first, so I have one of my MC's and two minor characters to share.

Haha, you guys! :D Yes, I'm stalkerish and epic and crazy and most of all authorish. ;)

I actually went up and asked him if I could take his picture but he said he was really busy. And he was ... so I kind of backed off and took some anyway. ;)

Elanhil: I'd tell you to get him to send us some of his senior pictures, because the ones we have are blurry.

LOL exactly, Celestria. :)

So here's some others of Iri:

Wow, that last one looks exactly like how I've always imagined Iri. :)

Sometime (when I get time!) I should draw some of my characters and post them here. :)

Lady Eruwaedhiel, that is way too funny! I have seen people in real life that look like my characters, and it is such an uncanny feeling. I try to stare at them as much as possible without being obvious, but I've never actually taken pictures. :)

To all those who can draw, paint, or otherwise artistically render your characters, I wish I had that ability. Alas, I don't, so I content myself with keeping a sharp eye out in the real world, photos, etc...and occasionally making use of MorphThing.

I'll try to upload some pictures later...

Sila, Kimun's childhood sweetheart, looks just like this. She is very mischievous, and doesn't often look this serious, but it does happen.

So, I saw Inception recently, and came upon an actress who is perfect for Ruby Foxe from my book Snapshots. Ellen Page looks just how I imagined Ruby. And she's only 2 inches shorter at 5' 1". (Now I have to finish the book and get it published so I can get a movie made of it and have Ellen Page play Ruby...) All she needs is slightly reddish brown hair...and in some of the pictures she does. Interesting how these famous people have all sorts of different hair colors...

So yeah, here's Ellen Page, or Ruby Foxe, as a young girl and grown up. (The story is mostly set in 2025 when Ruby is 25, with some in 2010 when she's 10...)

It's even weirder when you have a clear image in your head what a character looks like, then you realize you knew somebody the whole time that fits the bill.

This happened recently in my sci-fi short-story, a classmate of mine matches exactly my description of an alien kid.

That was exactly what I thought Klista would look like E! Although, not as tanned. I thought she'd be almost deathly pale, although not ghastly pale. If that makes sense...

Right, Airianna, that's how I saw her too. Also, her eyes aren't brown, or at least they're much darker than the ones in the picture. The woman's hair in the picture was originally red, but I fixded it. *self-satisfied smile* :D How is it that a picture can fit it so well? (I actually didn't know anyone but me pictured her as Asian-looking.)

The female is someone I know so it's not that weird... Kaida Bennet but her hair is shorter in the story.

The other one is a look alike from a movie I saw (I had the character first though)... Lukas Truman Only Luke smiles more.

The things writers will do. I. Love. It. :D

Well, I can almost never find people who look like my characters: but just the other day I started watching All Creatures Great And Small (cause I was in bed with the flu, and I love the books the series is based on, and I needed something happy in front of my face). And then my favorite character from my NaNo novel showed up on the screen. As Tristan Farnon.

I googled him and found out that he looked even /more/ like Selwin with the Fifth Doctor's longer hair. So here's a couple images of him (just ignore the costume, he's in Doctor Who ):

It's the Doctor! :)

After a lot of searching, I finally found someone who looks like my MC. Her name is Susyn Doylen, and I haven't yet come up with a substantial reason why her name is spelled wrong. :P

The first pic is of her younger brother, Drew. 'Scept he looks way too serious.

I know this thread is old (Meh, who cares? ;)) But here are a few lookalikes for some of my minor charries.

The first is the Ancient. (Pardon the modern clothing  ) Picture him a little bit more Asian, however.

The second is Velyss, again, modern clothes aside. This is the closest to the perfect match for a charrie I have ever found.

I have pictures of Zac/Arya but they are people I know. I will ask them first. :) (Actually, Suiauthon is my model for Zacire! :D)

(DISCLAIMER: Got these pictures from the FaceHunter website which is a fashion website. Not always the best images on there so I am not providing a link, but that is where the credit is due.)

I have just seen the most....stunning...character look-alike I've ever heard of. I just met a man who is very much like my charry Shan. Unfortunately, it wasn't the time or place to take a photo, or I would have. :P

I found a couple pictures from Armstreet (medieval costumes and armor site) of a model who looks a lot like Princess Angelia, Clark's sister. She doesn't have a very big role in the story but the pics are so PERFECTLY like her, especially since she looks so regal.

She's a bit fairer with lighter hair; a sort of ash blonde, and her eyes are blue instead of brown. But she has that ... attitude. :D

Well, Bethie and I were looking at the International Spy Museum website, and I found Josh, Jayson's older brother. :D It's here.

Wow, Lady E. That is something I can picture. A bunch of writers hiding behind trees, snapping pictures of people who look like the people in their head. That will be a lot of fun to explain to anyone who catches you. Have fun hunting ;)

Amazingly; Seer. Yep; Jordan... looks like Michael Black! Do I need to post it on here or do we all know what he looks like?
He has everything in common, other than that Michael's hair is blonder.

Let's revive this! I've found several photos recently for the minor characters that I'd like to share just because they're so perfect:

So do I! That is actually a friend of mine's little sister and she is so sweet and shy and quiet just like Ashrivel, and she looks like her too, so I just had to have a picture. ;)

I love Iri's little sister, E!!! * bounces *

Ooh! I saw 2 of my characters at the airport a few week ago--in London. o.O My poor family had to listen to me squee about this for minutes on end when I got home.

Anywho. I saw Shawn and Jayson in a desperate attempt to catch a flight (possibly to Madrid, I kid you not.) Several of the gates were far enough away in the Heathrow terminal that we had to take a transit. As we walked over, this tall guy with dark, rather disheveled hair was banging his hand on the metal door frame in agitation and saying, "Come on!"

Apparently the trains had been having issues, and now that a train had finally come...all the people were let out through the opposite doors before they would open our side.

Then we all got squished onto the train, and I forgot all about him--for the moment. As soon as the transit doors open he said, "Go!" and took off running. But he wasn't by himself... Someone with long, blond hair and rather petite build (relative to the guy, anyway, who was kind of huge) was running with him around the corner like her life depended on it. Shawn. :D

By the time I had turned the corner, the last glimpse I had of them was a pair of shoes and the wheels of a carried suitcase booking it up the escalator. Less than 15 minutes later the announcement person came on, saying that boarding to Madrid had been closed, and all unattended luggage would be exploded.

I hope they made it.
