Chocolate. Need I say more? The most delectable food on the planet hardly needs an introduction! Do you like chocolate? Or do you not? And what kind? With nuts? Fruit? Or do you like the fruit and nut kind... without the chocolate?

Since the baconites over the way have their own thread, I thought I would make a thread for those of us with a sweet tooth. All ye chocolate appreciators: discuss the glories of this wonderful sugary food! Heil Willy Wonka!

Chocolate is my favourite food!! The darker the better, too! I don't like it when people put nuts or fruit in chocolate brownies or any chocolate really, it ruins the texture.

But chocolate will be in heaven. For sure.

I love white chocolate. And agreed! I reckon nuts and fruit ruins the chocolate.

Funny story about chocolate: a kind member from our church congregation bought all of us on the music team two huge boxes of chocolates for doing a good job with music, and on music practice night, our pastor stood up to read a short Word whilst we munched our chocolate. She read:

Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your earnings for what does not satisfy? Hearken diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. (Isaiah 55:2 AMP)

And she said, "There, see? Eat what is good, and delight in fatness! Chocolate is good! Don't ever let anyone tell you the Bible says chocolate is bad for you!"

It was all in playfulness, but it was so funny!

Oooooh, that poll is really difficult to decide...I still haven't voted! The chocolate I eat the most is the super, super dark kind. Think Lindt 90% cacao. It's INTENSELY chocolate, you actually get a buzz in the back of your head. It's good, and it's also good for you in small amounts!

However, I absolutely LOVE those Russell Stover's assorted chocolate boxes...they're filled with so much yummy goodness! But...they're terrible for you and filled with sugar, but....filled with so much yummy goodness!

White chocolate. ...but...I try not to eat much of it or any other candy (though I'm bad at (most) times. )...I don't prefer nuts or fruit--except for peanuts (or, better, Reeses peanut butter, which is probably not even made out of peanuts xD ).

I also like dark chocolate...especially the fancy ones that have stuff in them or are orange-flavored.

Oh, yeah...I forgot to mention...White chocolate isn't chocolate, it's everything else, minus the cacao.

Chocolate...yummy, messy goodness....I like just about any chocolate, as long as it's not too dark. I have trouble getting around bitter chocolate.

It's got cocao butter in it: chocolate is made from cocao. Therefore white chocolate = chocolate.

I plead it's healthier! More milk, less cocao: less chocolate = more white chocolate = yumyum. See? I can do math.

I can have too much of super dark chocolate, though. Makes me feel kinda sick. But I still love it. I don't know if I could pick a favorite. It really depends on my mood.

Also, chocolate does wonders for writer's block.

Chocolate fun fact: MacGyver used chocolate bars to stop an acid leak in the pilot episode. Is there nothing chocolate can't do?

Yum! Chocolate! White chocolate ish very, very good. I also like hazel nuts in milk chocolate, because it makes it all crunchy, which makes it taste great-eth.

Dark chocolate and nutty chocolate, definitely! But only occasionally because I can't have too much.

I prefer plain Hershey's milk chocolate. Or the fancy chocolate with the cherries inside.

*sighs and shakes head* Cacao butter isn't cacao. It has all the health benefits removed. I tell you...kids these days...*shakes head sadly*

I've usually removed health as far from my mind as I can when I eat any candy, not just white chocolate. But I guess I sorta like most chocolate then, if I like white, and excessively dark, chocolate...just leave the nuts and fruit out (other than peanuts). (okay I admit I've enjoyed chocolate covered dehydrated berries before, but that's different)

I'm pretty sure that the cocao is the part of it that actually has health benefits, and it's certainly not the primary cause of unhealthiness in chocolate, so white chocolate is pretty clearly not healthier.

Well did you know that, The more dark your chocolate is the healthier it is!!!
Cocoa is very healthy, it's just the way its refined that makes it less-healthy.
And I am one of the very few people that hates milk(Taste and other stuff) So for me white chocolate is the worst!!!

I love chocolate of any kind, with almost anything. However, dark and milk chocolate are at the top of the list, depending on the mood of my taste buds. I even like plain cocoa.

There is nothing better in the world of sweets than chocolate. Definitely one of the best foods God created.
