It's hard! What sort of camera are you using? It's extremely hard with a digicam.

I have a digital Canon Rebel.

Okay. Hmmm. You could try doing it in manual and playing with the settings a bit (if you haven't already), try for a high shutter speed that still lets in a decent amount of light...and use autofocus to make sure it focuses in the first place.

Can't see much because of the glare, but still beautiful.

Nice picture. It's really really hard to avoid glare...but I almost like it in this case as it shows the curvature of your eye.

Finally! A clear picture. I had to stand right near the natural light for it to work... Hence why the front porch appears to be in my eye. That was through the window.

I would describe my eyes as a leaf-green background with a touch of grey mixed in, and then brown shooting out from the pupil.

EDIT: Oh, and the blue around the edge is from my contact lens, not my eye color.

Lessee... my mom and my brother both have brown eyes. My dad has light greenish-gray ones. Kind of like mine.
However, I'm adopted, so this doesn't really match up. My biological mom's eyes look almost exactly like mine. I've never gotten a close look at my biological half-brother's, so I don't know about his.
And my biological dad... suffice to say, him and my biological mom were never married. So he decided to go off and traipse around the world and not tell anyone where he is. Last time I saw him was when I was five. So I don't know what his eyes look like.

Your eyes are very pretty, JJ. *should probably start calling you Renna...* Sometimes your eye colour can be completely unrelated to any of your relatives. Same as hair; some families can be all dark haired and end up with a child with bright red hair. Makes me wonder where it comes from.

Lots of beautiful eyes around here! Every single eye color is gorgeous.

In my family, most of my siblings and my mother have green-brown eyes---brown in the center, dark green around the edges. They have varying ratios of green to brown, so some have a brown appearance, some have a green appearance, and some appear hazel.
Three of my siblings have grey-ish eyes. There's green and blue colors mixed in there, though, so it's not a flat grey. My father has light greenish blue eyes, and my eye color is closest to his, though not identical. I'm the only redhead in the family, and my eye color is unique, also.

My eyes are light with darker rings around the edge of the iris. I have blue, mixed with light green, and a few coppery orange shards shooting out from the center. (They match my hair. )
My eyes appear different colors in different situations. When I'm wearing green, the green dominates my eyes. Same effect with blue. When I wear grey, the colors seem muted and my eyes are almost grey.
Here are two pictures, both taken by my sister (this kind of thing fascinates her). They display my eye color well, along with my freckles and red eyelashes.

Here's a close-up of my left eye, looking quite blue.And here's another close-up of the same eye, displaying a bit more green.

You know, the most disturbing part about this is that most everyone here had a photo of their eyeball on hand, so to speak. (no puns were used on porpoise)

I'm not gonna post pictures of my eyes (too lazy to take a good picture). I just thought I'd let you know that my brother and I both have hazel eyes, and they tend to vary between blue and green shades.

What he said with 2 exceptions. Neither brother has hazel eyes, and my eyes are more on the green and brown range.
