For those of you who do approve of, and have read Harry Potter - Brendan, myself, Gianna, and... hopefully some more of y'all...

What House would you be sorted into? Have you taken the official Pottermoore sorting hat quiz and found out?

I suspected I'd be a Ravenclaw, but, much to my delight, I was sorted into Gryffindor.

Brendan pointed out that there are combinations of each house, that it's possible to represent in your personality, and then it's really up to you to decide which house you belong in. I'm a bit of a Griffinclaw then, Professor Slughorn, for instance, would be a Slitherpuff, Harry would probably be a Slitherfin, Snape a Slitherclaw, Luna a Ravenfin, etc.

I speculate Dr. Who is a perfect mixture of all four. XD

*chuckles* I don't read or approve of Harry Potter, but I know all about the plot and details from most of my friends. :)

I'd be slitheryn.

I'd be Ravenclaw only for the reason that I would question the hats decisions endlessly which would likely have my lot thrown in with my fellow analyticals.

I would analyze, of course, because I have nothing against any of the houses and would want to be sure I end up in the right one.

Interesting. That does sound right Kitra - you're always analyzing when I talk to you.

And Willow - I have a bit of Slytherin in me too. In the end, it's about what you choose though, as Dumbeldore so wisely told Harry in The Chamber of Secrets.

I don't really like the HP movies, but I was curious one day and decided to take a quiz. I thought I'd be Ravenclaw, but I got Slytherin. Then a friend of mine told me to take another quiz she had taken and I got Ravenclaw. So... yeah.

Same here, only no one tells me anything about it so I have no idea. I pretended to be Ron Weasley once online for fun, when fellow Moderators on somewhere I mod persuaded me to. I was very popular all day, but I had no idea who I was being.

Everybody loves Ron...

And yes, once again, your choice has the final say. The Sorting Hat wanted to put Harry in Slytherin, but he chose Gryffindor.

I think the majority of Holy Worlds members are Ravenclaws...

Because he'd had a run in with Draco Malfoy in Diagon alley, and on the Hogwarts Express prior to arrival, saw him for the jerk he was, and knew he (Draco) wanted to be in Slytherin. He also knew almost ever dark wizard in history had come from Slytherin, and since a dark wizard had killed his parents, that had to be a turnoff. Finally, Ron and Hermione had gone before Harry to the hat, and the new pair of friends he'd made on the train were both sorted into Gryffindor (Though, it was later revealed, Hermione was nearly put in Ravenclaw, obviously).

(Also, I'm not sure if he knew this yet, but his parents were both Gryffindors, as was Albus Dumbledore).

Oooh, I'd forgotten about his parents....ok. :)

And maybe it's just because no one who has taken the quiz has gotten that answer yet. Or maybe they're too modest to tell us what wonderful, nice people they are. ;)

I didn't think kindness was an accurate description for Hufflepuff.

Reiyen! Woohoo! I'm housemates with Reiyen! That would be tons of fun. :D

Kindness, or goodness is their most defining quality, though no house is limited to what I put on the poll. The sorting hat's full specifications from the year 1 song are:

Sorting Hat wrote:
You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve, and chivalry
Set Gryffindors apart;
You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true
And unafraid of toil;
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
if you've a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind;
Or perhaps in Slytherin
You'll make your real friends,
Those cunning folks use any means
To achieve their ends.

Well, I decided to do some research. I liked a site I came across, so I took the test. The test I took said this:

Quote:
This is not the ordinary sorting quiz that you're used to. Unlike all those other quizzes infesting the Internet, this quiz actually sorts you for who you are as a person, not because your favorite animal is a lion.

I made this quiz as a reaction to all the bad sorting quizzes. The problem with most of the existing quizzes, is that the questions rarely have anything to do with which house you would actually be sorted into. Your favorite color doesn't effect which house you belong to. Not every Gryffindor likes defense against the dark arts, not every Slytherin likes potions. Just look at Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Each is in Gryffindor, but each has a completely different disposition. Harry's father was often a bully and a thief, yet he was still in Gryffindor.

This quiz will actually ask you psychological questions with a variety of answers that can't easily be determined as to which house they fit into. This was meant to be more like what the Sorting Hat does. Just remember though that you must answer these questions truthfully in order to get an accurate answer.

So, after undergoing the test, I was "sorted" into Gryffindor.

My points system came up as:
Gryffindor - 13
Ravenclaw - 11
Hufflepuff - 10
Slytherin - 8

You want to know that now, days later?

Let me search through my history and figure out which one it was.

Remind me, though, cause I can't do it right now.

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

I'm not very brave, so Griffyndor is out. I'm also not ambitious, much to my father's despair. Also to his despair, I'm a bit lazy. Thus, I would probably be in Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff second, if kindness is the qualifier. The trouble there is the lack of courage to talk to people enough to be counted as kind.
I should go take one of those tests for the fun of it.

I think I found the link.

My results:
Hufflepuff - 13
Ravenclaw - 13
Gryffindor - 11
Slytherin - 8

So I guess that means I'm a Ravenpuff? Or maybe a Huffleclaw?

Haha, Hufflepuff! I think the last time I took that test I was Ravenclaw... Though I really love Gryffindor. So I'm a Ruffledor

It seems reasonable enough that most of HW would be Ravenclaw. They specialize in the thinking and creative types.

Yep!!! That be my link right there. I like the test, as tests go, because I think it is a much more accurate assessment, and not just a shuffling game of random chance.

What houses would you have for your forum, Eli?

Strange. On Pottermore I was sorted into Gryffindor, to my extreme disappointment.

This is the result I'm happy with:

Slytherin - 13
Ravenclaw - 10
Gryffindor - 10
Hufflepuff - 8

I swing between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw depending on the quiz. I've not taken the Pottermore quiz yet.

I don't think kindness is Hufflepuff's defining feature. I remember somewhere it said that Gryffindor takes the bold, Ravenclaw the smart, Slytherin I forget what it was but I think it was pureblood, and that Hufflepuff got all the rest.

I've read them, and I do I give it my approval (With the same caution I give everything.)

Hufflepuff takes the fair or the hard workers, but they tend to be the most accepting.
