I've noticed new people joining the forum, and I expectantly go to the Introductions Thread and none of the new members are there. I'm deprived of welcoming! *cries*

There are a lot of them!! blueeeyedswordmaiden, Jonathan Gelder, 6stringedsignseeker and someone who's name I've forgotten (sorry) all have introduction threads and we're all goofing our heads off!!! Three of the threads have the exact same name (hello, Hello there and hello something else) but they are there!!

Yeah! And there's EmeraldStrife19, Galadriel, and brittany110189 too!

There are lots of people who join and never do anything though. I mean a lot!

Jay says that's totally normal. He gave me a statistic once, but I don't remember it.

But sometimes that is because they are having trouble finding time... Or they have dial up!

Ah! I knew he was a Lauser too, but he didn't fit into the family as a brother. so I was trying to figure out who he was... cousin. Cousins are fun.

I'm still here! Being an admin at another forum I know that many people will join but never post, join for a day and never come back, join and lurk for a year or more before their first post and so on so forth. For many there's a sense of overwhelming... "so many posts... where do I begin?" Usually if you can get them into an "introductions" type thread, I think you can break the ice a bit, and they'll slowly start moving off into other threads. That's how I am with forums myself. I tend to stick my toes into the water to check the temperature, and ease in slowly.

And we are very glad you're still around. I like the new people! And, before I have all the old people jumping all over me, I like them too.

Funny Luke, I need to go back and read your posts.

I love mock trials. I love courtroom dramas, and one of my childhood dreams was to be a lawyer. Unfortunately, none of my siblings share this ideal and can't argue logically and don't see the point in holding trial like proceedings when disputes arise.

You know what I think would be cool? Go over to character development and set up a mock court of law with our characters. That'd be fun. Or maybe I'm just crazy... in which case, ignore me. Please.

I'm not so sure that would be a good idea with fantasy characters, unless you passed a law that no weapons or monsters or magic users were allowed to enter the courtroom. Otherwise it could get violent fast.

Also, most characters would probably be too busy going on quests.

I don't think I still count as a new person (I joined in July and I did introduce myself upon joining), but I'm certainly one who has trouble finding as much time to spend with my fellow fantasy readers/writers as I would like to. I kind of go in spurts, as I have a chance.

You know, I'd try to ignore you, but we're in the same psychiatric ward, so it's going to be awfully hard.

I've often wondered where the new people went. I think what happens is that they change their user names. I can't keep track of the old people, let only these youngster newbs. (That's short for newbie, for all you youngsters.)

New person still here! Although, I'm seriously thinking of changing my username. 6stringedsignseeker works great for my other forums, but it just doesn't quite fit in here.

But I'm used to you being 6strings. I suppose you could change your name if you wanted.
