Welcome to week nine! :D

Your quest is to make an essence map of a character. I know we did this before, but I wanted to give those who are newer at essence more experience before we try something harder.

As always...

The Rules wrote:
1. All challenges must be declared completed by midnight Saturday in your timezone (please specify your timezone when you sign up).
2. Personal challenges must be declared by midnight Monday in your timezone.
3. Personal challenges cannot be repeated.
4. The organizer reserves the right to veto any challenges that seem too simple. (i.e. writing a sentence)

Also, I would like to remind everyone that any weekly challenge pieces that are posted on the forum will be eligible to be featured in our newsletter once it gets off its feet. Please post a link in this thread if you would like it to be considered.

If you could write your sign-up post in a similar format to the following, it would be appreciated:

Oooh! Another essence map! Awesome! :D

Weekly Goal: Essence Map of Elias
Personal Goal: 500 Word of World-Building
Personal Goal: 1 Paragraph Summary of Novel
Timezone: MDT

I am aware that I'll only get the 5 points for completing both of those, but it will motivate me! :D

Yes. You can only do one personal goal, and you get five points for it. So multiple personal goals count as one. Only the weekly challenge can be repeated for extra points.

Are we allowed to set time goals? I.E., "work on this at least four hours a day"? I'm not doing that this week, but I might do that in the future since quantity goals can be unpredictable, I'm finding...

Goal: Fill out a character questionnaire for Mariah
Timezone: CST

My personal goal of the 1 paragraph summary is complete! :D

(Yes, it's a rather long paragraph, but I'll revise and trim it down. )
