I was thinking, "I could use some bacon!" Then I thought, "I need good uses for bacon!"
So here's a thread about everything and anything bacon.
And if you don't know what to say, fill out these questions:

Do you like bacon?
It's heavenly ^_^
What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten with bacon?
A peach bacon sandwich
What's the most bacon you have ever had in one day?
About 20 strips.
Bacon fun fact?
It's healthy

Remember, bacon is amazing! ^_^

*Laughing out loud* Well, I eat turkey and beef bacon, but not pork bacon, because pork gives you worms that eat away at your intestines, and so it just might not be smart to eat those intestine-eating worms. So... I really can't answer these questions, because I've only had real bacon once, and can't really remember why... Also, I do not agree that it's healthy. ;)

Bacon is quite good. :D But I think it's healthy. I'm the supreme bacon fryer in our house - I get it nice 'n' crunchy.

Oh yes! My good ol' friend bacon. :D I love it. :D I don't eat it super often, but when I do, boy is it good. I've probably had about five or six pieces max in a single day... I really can't remember eating more than that. That knocks out two questions... Weirdest thing I ate with bacon... probably pineapple. I didn't expect it to taste so good, but pineapple wrapped in bacon is amazing! And a fun fact: Think Geek makes bacon scented car air fresheners.

I'm not sure I could say it's healthy, but it's goooood. :dieshappy:

Danko, did you summon me to this thread? *Eyes email that she got*

Well, I'll disagree that bacon is healthy, then I won't asnwer the rest of the questions. :x ;)

I only eat it once every two weeks or so. (Because when it's in our house, it's hard to get it before everybody else *coughmymomcoughmydadcough* eats it.) I've probably eaten four pieces a day. It's a treat. :D

Bacon McFlurry? Sorry, but that doesn't sound good to me. :P

Chocolate covered. But you have to only half dip it and do so lengthwise. I don't like it too crisp. It's better when the stripes are a bit on the chewy/juicy side. Fun fact: There is no Subway sandwich (I dare say no food at all) that can't be improved by bacon.

This thread makes me laugh.

I love bacon. And I don't care if it's unhealthy, there are plenty of more harmful things people eat all the time. :P Like high fructose corn syrup. *shudder* It's everywhere.

Anyway, I'll eat what I like and die when God says I can of whatever ailment he lets me die of. *munches bacon*

OK, here I do want to defend the side of not eating bacon for health reasons. ;) We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and so we should keep it in good condition. If we eat whatever we want and expect to die of an ailment, that's not really being a good steward of God's temple. So, as much as I love bacon, I'm not going to eat 20 pieces every day because I know it'll hurt me.

Bacon isn't wrong. I love bacon. :dieshappy: But I do believe we shouldn't be careless in how we eat it. ;) I'm just saying, I understand those who don't like it or want to eat it for health reasons. :D But, BACON FOR THE WIN! :dieshappy:

I was wondering if someone would bring that up. That's what my Mom says, but she doesn't eat any meat, or any unhealthy stuff. But I think, that as long as your realistic about it, bacon can be a good thing.
P.S. The one time I had twenty pieces of bacon, was because I ordered a sandwich with extra bacon, and I got twenty strips. o.O

And I had another bacon McFlurry last night. ^_^

Then we have to ask...what's healthy and what's unhealthy?

Because there are people who have smoked their whole life, who are in their 70's and in very good health, and other people who have tried to be 'healthy' and are falling apart.

Plus all the research and scientific studies seem to come up with results that are affected by the bias of the people running them. If you're looking for evidence that bacon is unhealthy, you'll probably find it. If you're looking for evidence that it's healthy, you'll probably find it.

Truth is, there are so many variables to health and we can't control them all. I think all we can do is just eat moderately and let God take care of us.

I'm not saying we need to only eat healthy stuff. I'm just saying eat it in moderation, like you just said. :D We don't want to be careless with the way we eat and disrespect our bodies in that way, but we don't have to be super obsessed with avoiding "junk" so to speak. Moderation. :D

And 20 pieces of bacon is still awesome. :dieshappy: I just don't want to eat that every day. ;) There are times we splurge, though. :dieshappy:

I really want to try a bacon McFlurry... do you order it with bacon in it? Or do you just add the bacon yourself at home? :?

I adore bacon. ^_^ I don't know if I'd eat it every day. Possibly.

The largest amount of bacon I've had in one day is probably about 4-5 strips. Pathetic, I know. ;)

Weirdest thing I've had with bacon? Chocolate covered bacon. It was...odd. o.O It didn't taste bad, but I couldn't get over the fact that it was chocolate covered bacon, so I don't know if I'd have it again, even though I liked it.

Bacon McFlurry doesn't sound particularly appetizing to me. I is a bad bacon fan. :'(

As far as health goes, it's not a subject I've delved into, but my mother has extensively researched these sorts of things. She says that it's not as bad for you as some things that some people eat regularly for breakfast. It's fairly healthy. Which of course, makes me happy. :dieshappy:

Yah, there are some cereals that are really bad for you. There was one study in which one group of mice was fed the cereal, and another group was fed the cardboard box the cereal came in. Guess which group lasted much longer and died of starvation? :P

Um... I actually just looked into the test, and it was an unpublished test. From what I could tell, it may not have even happened. If it did, it happened in the 1960s, and I think we all can agree food has come a long way since then. If you want more info on where I got that, I can send you a link. I'm not completely certain how reliable it was, but it made sense.

However, Mythbusters did do a test on it (unreleased, but Adam talked about it in interviews). Three mice had normal mouse food, three mice had cardboard, and three very happy mice had fruit loops. When they left for the weekend, they came back on Monday and looked at the mice. In the cardboard cage remained only one really fat mouse who had eaten the other two. Feel free to look it up.

If that doesn't relate to the thread enough, we can move it and create a health thread or strange food facts/myths. I like the second idea better.

In other news, I ate bacon in an omelet and a piece by itself this week. It was gooooooood. :dieshappy:

Lucky! I haven't had bacon, in about a week now. :'(

New question! How long have you gone, without eating bacon?

Ever? Hmm...I'd say 10-13 years, maybe more, maybe less.

I really don't know... I eat it on and off... I guess it depends on if we have it and if someone makes it... I had it again on Mother's day. :dieshappy: I've had bacon more than usual recently. :D *licks lips*

Another new question: How do you like your bacon served?

For me, I like it juicy and crisp and crunchy, but not burnt! :P I don't like it all floppy. But not too crunchy.

As long as it isn't raw, I don't really care.

Hmm, I don't like bacon burnt, but it usually is..ish. I like it just crunchy enough to let all the tasty goodness out of it. ;)

Cook it to the perfect point where the meat is crispy and the fat is chewy. That is the best.

Yes, me too.

Totally

*Pokes Rosey* So you don't want me to make you bacon and send it in the mail for your birthday? ;) ;) ;)

The weirdest thing I have even experienced with bacon is when my siblings and I told my little cousin, who absolutely adores bacon, to get his mom to put it on his cake for his birthday....and he did...and she did! And then he ate it and almost threw up  :P

Bacon is bliss, I love it, and I could eat it every day.

I love breakfast at school, if I wake up in time - a buffet line with unlimited bacon.

But the homemade stuff is best.

Eli, you are lucky! ^_^ Any Bacon unless raw, is worth eating.
