I had a friend (she moved away and we lost touch) who had two little brothers, and the babies of the family were triplet girls! They were sooo adorable! And, I was one of the few people besides family who could tell them apart :D

Me neither! Notebooks are wonderful things.

I agree! Especially if they're nice and new, with a wonderful design/sketch on the cover with nice writing paper that makes you feel so inspired even when you're not. :P

That's how my epic series started-I saw a notebook at the store and bought it because it looked cool. Then, I sat down and started writing... and look what came out! :D

(I'm gonna be a smart aleck for a minute) Technically, we're all cousins, whether distant or closely related because we all have Adam and Eve as a mother and father. :)

Yes, they live all throughout the United States, though they are more common in some places. They're one of the cutest kinds of spiders. :D

Venomous spiders are interesting to learn about, as are all species of tarantula. To me, at least. And, I would be brave enough to handle a tarantula :D But not a black widow or brown recluse, or even a grass spider-if they're big, you can keep track of them and they can't hide in your clothes!

Jumping spiders are really nice looking...and they have good eyesight for a spider too. I discovered that. :) I guessed it is because they need to see where they are going to jump to.

I saw a tarantula in TX, too. * grins * That was cool.

I don't chase spiders, however, I do like to watch them (esp. the big ones) and look at their webs and stuff. I do chase snakes, though. I saw a big one sunning itself on the road once (weird and very rare for my busy, people-filled area) and I chased it to get a closer look, but it ran away :( I chase lizards, too, but I can never catch them. :'( lol!

We saw the tarantula at church, and one of the guys from the church was playing with it. It was fun watching him. :D Hus fiance was begging him to stop though... * laughs *

* grins * My brothers and I used to catch snakes all the time when we lived in WA, and we would keep them in big jugs and watch them. Try and make 'em fight too, sometimes... Poor things.

There weren't so many lizards, though, just salamanders and newts. :) I loved the salamanders...they were so wriggly and they never stopped running.

I just remembered I never told Who-ever-it-was (names on a fantasy forum are so odd... :P) how old my Twin sisters are.... * sorry face * They're 7 right now.

And imagine how creepy his face looks now without a mouth...

He's still got a mouth, just not a grin.

Well, what's a grin without a mouth?

Uh...a grin is an action, an expression, so you can't really wipe it off on your hand except on forums or in fantasy worlds. :dieshappy:

But you can't think of a grin without thinking of a mouth grinning...

Yes you can, go climb to the top of a mountain, sit on a bed of nails for 675 hours and think on it, you'll see. :)

Salamanders are so cool! I've seen them around when I'm backpacking mostly, it's so much fun to watch them swimming in the lakes, they look like little aligators... *has idea for another mini-fauna creature for his world* :dieshappy:

Have any of you ever heard of those giant Asian cave salamanders? Those are inherently inspiring for any fantasy writer...they are such thrillingly weird and horrible looking creatures.

* coughs * I did not spell it wrong. I never spell things wrong. I always spell things exactly how I mean to.

Sorry, I just watched LotR.... :D

Anyway, no I meant it that way because I said it that way. In my head. I usually spell things the way I say them. And no, it's not a joke unless someone laughed. Then it is. (And I laughed...so I guess it is.)

* coughs * I'm not against grinning. It was just that particular grin, on that particular person's hand, at this particular time, in this particular place, in these particular circumstances, that made me want to – eh – * coughs * ...laugh. * shakes head slowly, frowning * And that was what he was supposed to stop doing!

It wasn't me this time!

* raises eyebrow * Wasn't it? How wasn't it?

*sighs * I had grand plans of posting a big birthday thread for you, like I did last year, but... my computer doesn't like me. :P Oh well, out with the old, in with the new. Let's hope my relationship with the new computer goes better.

Happy Birthday, Juliet, and welcome, officially, to the forum. You know I am always around if you need help or would like someone to talk to about things. :D

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

The Diegosian Rider, 121,400 words (Finished)

I like them. I've seen hellbenders in the wild, and they're a "little" cousin of the giant Asian salamanders (two feet long instead of four feet long.)
