Hey everyone! So, I've decided to post character profiles I whipped up for (obviously) my characters, one by one and see what your response is, if you think they're too vague, or need tweaking or something like that.

Here's my MC's character profile:

Celia Marie Longwood
Attributes: Friendly, sarcastic, charisma that causes people to want to protect her and treat her like something precious, throws up or faints when she sees blood
Physical attributes: Short, thin, long curly red hair, light skin dotted with freckles, brilliant green eyes
Qualities: Loyal to the extreme, sacrifices herself for others without a second thought, tender and compassionate, but rises up to the challenge when strictness or firmness is needed, skeptical, very loving, brave spirit despite her drawback of being afraid of blood
Skills: Sword fighting, loving someone with all her heart, sarcasm
Main power: Water

It is a tiny bit vaguer than it would be if I wanted to give away more. But I hate giving people spoilers. So tell me whose I should post next. One of the friends? A family member? One of the enemies? The villain? The leader of the "good side"? The romantic interest?

A few questions:

1. What does "main power" mean?

2. Does Celia have any flaws?

3. How does skill in sword fighting dovetail with being a short, thin girl who faints or throws up at the sight of blood?

Those are all parts of the story that I didn't want to give away, lol. I know it sounds contradictory, but it's really not. I didn't want to give spoilers, like I said.

How about the villain next? Good heroes need equally good (not in a moral sense) villains.

Haha, yeah... Good villain? That would be indeed interesting. LOL well my villain is not good. Here he is:

Vathatur:
Attributes: Most blackhearted evil thing on earth
Physical attributes: No one has seen his true form, no one who lived to tell the tale, anyway. The form he allows people to view is very tall, very thin but somehow still bone-crushingly strong, almost translucent skin with veins clearly visible, eyes like a cat's except red and unnaturally large, mane of extremely white hair. Wears black clothing and robes, and a black sword belt, with a long sword whose blade is made of some unheard-of black metal
Qualities: He has none, but he is somewhat dumb at times. He's too sure of his own power, But as he is extremely strong, that fact may not benefit the good people...
Skills: Just about everything involving scheming, maiming, torturing, killing...
Main power: Everything, through black magic/witchcraft

Why is he so evil?

That's going to be explained in the prequel-ly type thing I mentioned and basically he's of the devil

And now for one of my favorite characters. The fierce protectress, loyal friend, and amazingly spirited Max.

Maxine Margaret Olivers (Max)
Attributes: Gorgeous, athletic, leader type
Physical attributes: Tall, slim, strong, long wavy blond hair
Qualities: Courageous, fiercely loyal no matter what, not afraid of anything least of all pain, very protective of her friends
Skills: First aid, any sport she tries

She is one of my favorite characters.

I haven't even read the story and I already love Maxine. How about the romantic interest? I'm curious.

On another note, do you have any excerpts of this novel? Are you planning on publishing? It sounds interesting and I would love to read it.

Max is my favorite character, I think. Yes I do! The one I have (the good one, anyway) is the one I sent you that you can't read because it's in Tricky Subjects. I have the unedited version up somewhere, but it's so much worse than the edited one...

Haha! Then I'll wait until I have access to the edited one. Now, how about that romantic interest profile?

Yes he does!
His taking the blame for EVERYTHING on himself is really annoying though.
There's actually sort of a fight about him being TOO nice, as well. That was one of my favorite parts to write!!!

Qualities: Loving and giving, but only if she likes you
Skills: None mentioned
