To have Phobophobia is to be afraid, of being afraid, it is a vicious circle since it consists of the thing that you are afraid of if you have it.

Hrm... I don't think I have any real phobias. I'm slightly arachnophobic, I also don't like frogs (not sure what they come under). I used to be scared of the dark, but I've grown out of it now... Funny though. I always liked the dark, except for when I had to go to sleep... Weird.

Phobia means: "An extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something" So while my fear of fear isn't necessarily extreme, it sometimes is, and it is sometimes irrational as well, at least partly. So I'd say I have a sort of passive Phobia of fear...which means that if I think of the possibility of being afraid of something, I pretty much automatically think of something to scare me half to death, and...I either pray or go into a Phobic deathspin.

Xenophobia is the fear of strangers or foreigners, Bush.

All my life, overflowing toilets have scared the life out of me. And the best part is--there is no name for that phobia!

I have some interesting fears, but I don't know if they are phobia level...

I have reoccurring dreams of my teeth falling out, decaying, etc. The closest thing I can find is odontophobia (fear of teeth), which isn't quite it.

I hate answering the phone or the door if I don't know who it is. I get very panicky. ...but I think this is because of bad phone calls/visitors...

I'm really afraid of falling, mostly unconsciously unless I try to, say, skate or ski, but I actually have balance issues.

Edit: I'm also afraid of overflowing toilets (another person mentioned this). I have to get someone else to fix them ASAP.

I always get scared taking the trash out to the road (A good 600 ft. or so) at night. I keep think Voldemort in a cloak or something along those lines is going to pop out and Avada Kadavra me. I like to sing Amazing Grace, out loud, during these trips.

I've always had this fear of getting stuck in my seatbelt after a car accident with my car catching fire or being submerged in water. One of the reasons why I always carry a knife.

I used to be afraid of everybody vanishing as I lay in bed as a 11 year old, newly introduced to the Left Behind books, and of all things, a Pre-Millennialist. Now I'm a Post-Millennialist, and more sure of my salvation either way.

Yes! Being stuck in a car underwater might be my worst fear of all... especially since like I said earlier, I hate being underwater.

I'm afraid of spiders (as said earlier on this thread), being forcibly prevented from being able to breathe, and occasionally going up a staircase in the dark. I run up them, sometimes. You can almost hear something right behind you, chasing you.

Mostly, my fears involve being trapped.

I will say, I like snakes a lot. Except cottonmouths. But I'm not afraid of them, just...dislike the things.

Certainly something creepy about a white mouth with fangs...

Yes, especially since they live in the water and are one of the few poisonous snakes in North America. Not especially appealing.
