Hear ye, hear ye! In the name of the King this day is proclaimed a day of rejoicing, of celebration, and of general foolishness! Being this the very first day of the month of April, one time known as the beginning of the new year, it is a day given over to all manner of pranks, tricks, and jokes. Be ye warned this day has only two rules:

1. Any jokes, pranks or tricks must hurt no one, nor damage any thing, neither friendships, nor feelings nor smileys, nor code.

2. All jokes, pranks or tricks executed on this day are solely amusing in nature, and if there is anyone who would not enjoy them they are forbidden. The person you're tricking maybe be slightly aggravated, but they must be amused. If everyone doesn't have fun, no one may have fun.

That said, ye are freed from duties and called to dance and revel in the streets to delight your king and council. Come hither to greet each other, to share your delight and your wonder, to guess at riddles, to tease, but most of all to laugh. For this is a laughing day, and sober faces are forbidden.

(This is the exact text of last years announcement! April Fool's Day is a day Jay loves to observe, so don't forget to check out the trouble we're planning for him! I posted this a day early because I wanted to get the word around before the pranking actually began. Please do observe the rules. Thank you.)

My thoughts upon trying to log into HW, in sequential order:

1. They changed my username. Hmph.

2. What on Earth could they have changed my name to?

3. Oh dear, we're doing Middle Earth names.

4. It's not even April yet where I live. We're an international community!

Redemption is to be purchased, to have a price paid. So I was redeemed from my master sin, and from justice, which demanded my death. For He paid the price of sin by becoming sin, and met the demands of justice by dying for us.

For all men have a master. But a man cannot have two masters. For he will love one and hate the other. You cannot serve God and sin. So I die to the old, as He died, and I am resurrected to the new, as He was resurrected.

Note: Ebed is Hebrew for bondsman, Eleutheros is Greek for unrestrained (not a slave).

Hello! Heard you were having some sort of party, and since I was in the vicinity of April, I thought I'd pop in. Anyone have any custard? The fish sticks are on me. :?

It is round as a dishpan and all the water in the ocean can't fill it up. What is it?

Can you find a country hidden in the following paragraph?

Precipitation is the primary mechanism for transporting water from the atmosphere to the surface of the earth. Different forms of precipitation are rain, freezing rain, sleet, hail and snow.

It's been such fun today, guys! :D

Thanks for all the pranks, and jokes, and quizes, and quests.

It's April 2nd for me now, so I'm off to bed. Normality will have returned in the morning. ;)

No, 't h', as in 'the', at beginnings of words, and S in certain specific cases. That. Through. Thinking.

Et je vois qu'on a un accent français, un peu. Interesting.
Je parle Franglais, tu vois.

experiment: Does it really filter the words I and the and that?
edit: it does in fact. Interesting. Je vais rester avec ma langue secondaire, pour éviter qu'on change mes mots. *gloats at her evasion of the tricks*

 (Note, that's : roll:) Both the word filter and the smileys just get old after about five minutes, and you're actually trying to talk to someone, or read a serious post.

Should we get everyone to confess their pranks now? Get 'em over with? :D

I plead guilty to the following:

Changing the smiley codes.
Altering every instance of "Holy Worlds" to "April Fools"
Changing the names of the Council to their LotR counterparts
Rearranging the order of the forum sections
Reinstating the pink rings and the rank of "April Fool" for all registered members.

If you like, Azlyn, I'll produce the missing codes you're looking for.

I am guilty of:

Changing everyone's names in chat using admin powers (so fun :dieshappy: )

Pretending to be Sir Bruce

Being Yahoo [Bot] and fighting Google [Bot] in chat

Altering the chat itself (although that was a fix; so it'll stay, but I just wanted to mention that since it was during April Fools)

I pretended to be Judge Frollo
I pretended to be Vanya (quite successfully I must say!)
I pretended to be Lasaraleen
I was The Glitter Spreader and created the challenge, with the help of Milly
I also was Yahoo [Bot] and fought against Gooogle [Bot]
As the Glitter Spreader I went on a posting spree that didn't seem to make sense unless you followed my challenge.
I... Think that's it. Post if I missed anything!

I was Iri Fairbrow. Yes, your shy, sweet Celestria was an assassin and complusive liar (or so authoress says) for a day. Scary ain't it?

Yes, Vanya, I want to know what the codes were! :D

I was guilty of:

Flipping the avatars in the chat room.
Making everyone have a tomato fight in the chat room. :dieshappy:
Changing my rank to RU.
Changing my name to, in the correct order:
  • Mahna Mahna! I was being silly this morning.
  • Quasimodo Nemo and I were having fun.
  • Aliza Rose Mimetes I decided to go be myself again for a little while.
  • Majalacopatomato! Back to silliness!
  • Aliza Rose Mimetes Reiyen was going around changing everyone's names back to normal, so he did that.
  • ReiyenChangedMyName! With this name I realized it was Reiyen who changed it and thus changed my name again. :dieshappy:
  • Artichoke Clark Rin/Kitra did this one! I said in chat that I was waiting for Reiyen to change my name again, so Kitra decided to do it for me. Then I couldn't tell who did it because of the whacked yellow names.
  • *Is... An Artichoke?* Me changing it while laughing at how who I thought was Rei changed my name.
  • Aliza Rose Mimetes And back to my regular name!
I am also guilty of applying to join the [Bots] and Timelords groups out of sheer curiosity as to what would happen.

Finally, I am guilty of taking a huge amount of screen shots of the pink forums and a bunch of profile shots to show changed usernames. It was fun! :dieshappy:

I think that's it! It was a great April Fools day. :D

*Didn't see this before* You... You were? Does that mean you were in chat and nobody knew who you were? :bawl:

I confess to reversing my typical personality and becoming the "Harbringer of Order" and changing people's screwy names back to what they were originally, to the delight of some and anger of others.
