I'm getting a website soon, but first I have to know what domain to use! I simply cannot decide, so I'm looking for opinions and/or suggestions. I'd like to go with using my real name, but am concerned that I might confuse people with jgracepennington.com, since there is already a gracepennington.com.

Thoughts? Opinions? Please vote and let me know what you think!

I picked eyesonthelight simply because it's good to name stuff something that will remind you of it's purpose, and if your eyes are "on the light" or, you're serving God with all you do (specifically what you do with this site), it would be a fitting name with a reminder for you to remember it's purpose...just some rambly weird thoughts of mine. :dieshappy:
Whatever you use, I'm looking forward to seeing it, you should post a link to it here once you get it!

Hmm... hard choice, but I cast my vote and eagerly wait with the others to see the website.

I don't know... The advantage to jgracepennington.com is that it would be relatively easy for people to remember, as long as they remember your name. On the other hand, it's good to not be just one letter off from another website...

I feel out of the loop having to ask this, but what is your website going to be about?

Oh, that is a perfectly awesome question, Eva, dear! In fact, I feel rather stupid for not explaining in the first place.

It's going to be a professional rather than a personal website, mainly about my writing/books, but also showcasing my videography and audiobook services. :)

Thanks for voting and for your input, everybody!

I chose hisstorypublishing because I thought it pretty much said it all. Although, I could very easily go with livinglegacypublishing, too.

I voted jgracepennington. :D I think your name is the best choice, because it is most memorable.

*was wondering which friend's website a friend was designing* ;)

Ah, okay. :D I voted for the first option. I think it's the most flexible; it fits all three of the topics you mentioned. ^

Will you be doing multiple genres, Gracie? I love livinglegacy and hisstory, but those sound very historical fiction to me. If you are going to be housing multiple genres, I think your name might actually work better. It makes it genre neutral and focuses on the author, which is, of course, something many people will google first when searching for your books.

That's a good point, Airi. I'd thought a little along those lines, of focusing on the author being good for different genres.

Thanks for voting, everyone! This was very helpful. I decided to go with jgracepennington, and the site is being designed now. :)

Thank you again for your input!
