Guess what! Aidan Hanley (whom I believe is on here under the name El Maestro - he's Inesdar's brother) is making an animated book trailer for Red Rain! :D He has been sending me a lot of stills, which I've posted on Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 474&type=1 I'm amazed, delighted, and very excited. :D

Surprise! I'm in the process of updating the interior of the print edition (just the presentation - not the text), so my graphic designer Dieki and I gave the cover a revamp as well. Photos of it and the new official bookmark are posted here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 474&type=1

The ebook editions (Amazon.com and Smashwords.com) of the books have been updated! (Although it may take another 24 hours for the changes to show up on the Amazon listing.) Again, it was only aesthetic changes - the text of the novel itself has not changed. If you've purchased the book via Smashwords you can download the latest copy for free any time.

I also have a new (very positive) review on Amazon: "Red Rain is the first Christian fiction novel I have enjoyed since C.S. Lewis' Screwtape Letters." http://www.amazon.com/review/RNIHIH4Y06 ... &linkCode=

What an amazing review! Wow, that's so neat, Aubrey!

Yes! I was really encouraged by it. From what he said about Christian fiction it's obvious I'm succeeding with my goal - to write organic (not preachy, yet unashamed) Christian characters.

I like nontraditional promotion.

Hence, I'm copying from filmmakers and publishing "deleted scenes" from my novel... http://www.aubreyhansen.com/2012/02/red ... nes-1.html

I am almost done polishing the print edition of Red Rain. I have to say it looks beautiful on CreateSpace's print previewer! Because the reformatting changed the page count significantly, and the cover is different, I am releasing it as a "second edition" with a new ISBN. The first edition will be available on Amazon until the second edition is approved and complete, at which point I will take down the first edition. The ebooks have all been updated with the new cover and slight formatting tweaks, but there are no "editions" of those, because the novel text did not change.

Y'all are such devoted fans. :D Most mainstream authors don't have readers that want every single edition of their novel, I wager. At least, I could care less if my favorite books were rereleased with different covers...

This is just a public announcement to say - it's your last chance to buy the first edition (paperback) of Red Rain! Also, I should warn you - the price will be changing when the second edition goes live.

On a similar note, from March 4-10 the Smashwords edition will be 50% off, only $1.50. Details here: http://www.aubreyhansen.com/2012/03/red ... hance.html

I am done now. Carry on. :D

Thank you much, guys. :D

Seeing as there are less than 100 print copies of the first edition in circulation (to my knowledge), theoretically they could be collectible one day. But I kind of have to become famous or something first... ;)

I haven't read the book yet, so I don't want to read the deleted scenes in case they spoil something for me.

*grins* That seems wise to me. :D The two scenes I've posted so far aren't too bad spoiler-wise, but I think they will mean a lot more if you've read the book.
