Elanhil: GREAT!! I get to organize!! Try to make all the balls shiny. We're gonna need two teems, or do you want to do every man for himself?

Me: How about for every 5 characters we make a ball?

Elanhil: Once we get everybody together we'll decide how many balls we need, about 5 per character.

Kendri: *raises hand* I wanna play! We play dodgeball all the time at the orphanage. Tamera says I'm good, but I get knocked over each time I play. But it's fun.

Me: We'll see how she does with all these Elves and stuff. Ooh, can I make a ball?

Elanhil: Good! The more people the better!! Kendri, since you spoke up first you can be a captain. Tamera could be the other, but you want to be on the same team. Next person to speak is the other captain!! But first we need to set a deadline for who can join. Sep 05, 12 pm. A little more than 48 hours.

Me: You aren't supposed to be good at organizing things.

Cory: Wow, i don't think I've ever felt so excited.

Me: I'm telling you, somebody's gotta find you characters some cool music to play by, or somethin'. Then, we need to make a movie.

Seymour: Most likely those who watch it will be confused.

Me: Seymour, it's an in-between world with characters form loads of different worlds. But that's the fun in it.

Cory: Alright, so do we count as five?

Me: Yes, when Tynx is done. Don't know how long that'll be, though.

Tynx: [Opens mouth without warning and fires a large white burning ball of energy.]

Me: Oh, a weird thing. I had a dream last night about Tynx's and Merashath's duel. All I can remember is that Merashath did something very fast before anyone knew what happened (close to the exact words I 'read' in my dream).

Cory: Wow, could we have gotten a weirder author?

Me: Oh I'm sure you could have. Go off with yer buddies to the others- Oh! No, we have five! Chase is playing!

Chase: Sheesh, I was beginning to wonder if you'd remember me.

Me: Oh, go with the others and wait. Alright, now we have Cory, Tesmir, Jek, Mordir, and Chase for now. Where's our ball?

Cory: I gave it to Iri.

Me: OK. Rowen, you can go back home. No offense, but you're probably a bit too big here right now. This'll be so awesome!

Tell me if I missed anyone. The deadline moved to Sep. 4, 5pm. As of now, we need 4 balls. We have silver, iridescent, red(with gold and brown), some ball with stars, golden, and some others. I forget. We'll make new balls for the game. And yes, we are playing doge-ball. Just so we're all clear on the rules, this is two teamed, one team on each side of the court. When I blow the whistle, both teams run to the center and try to get to the balls lined up there. When they get to them, they can start to through at one another. If you catch the ball, whoever threw it is out. If it hits you before it bounces, you are out. (When a ball is caught, whoever has been out the longest on that team comes back in.)

Merashath: [using telekinetic powers, he steps aside from the ball and puts his hand out as it passes by him. He moves his hand around in a circle without touching the ball until he's spun all the way around where he releases the ball, sending it flying towards Tynx. All this takes place in 1 or 2 seconds.]

Me: There--Is that unexpected enough?? [looks at sky blue balls] Those aren't big enough. And they're in my post. I'll dispose of them. [balls vanish]

Elanhil: @jay--That ball was very magical. All our balls are magical.

Me: No they're not.

Elanhil: Oh. Than I'm not playing.

Me: You have to, you're organizing.

Elanhil: Ok!!! I love organizing!!!

Tynx: Whoa- [Gets thrown backward several feet.] You little sneak. [Stands up shakily and rushes at Merashath]

Me: Keep in mind, I'm still trying to figure out what sort of abilities Tynx has. So you two are my guinea pigs.

Chase: Right, now I'm beginning to think the series will not come to be for a very long time...

Me: Because I still have other stories to do, and another to lengthen. Once those are done I'll do yours. But I've been listening to the Baby Conference, and writing and listening to that won't work.

Jek: So, when do we actually start playing?

Cory: Prob'ly after the deadline. Where'd the others go?

Me: Rowen took Seymour and Lorielle back home for the present, just so they won't get hit in the dodgeball war. They'll be back later, though. Seymour didn't want Lorielle to remain unwatched.

Cory: You don't really think-

Me: Knowing her, she just might, if Faulkner was really, really convincing.

Tesmir: So, how do we play with these four? [Motions on either side him the four duelers]

Me: Just play, and throw balls like your life depends on it. It's fairly easy to play: Throw balls, try to catch balls thrown at you, and don't get hit because it can hurt.

Chase: You know this from experience?

Me: Yes. Depending on the size and material of the ball, it can sting a bit. Oh, we have a ball, it changes colors, but not by light. How many more do we need?

Tesmir: Why do they have to be lined up?

Me: So everyone can grab balls and start throwin'.

Me: I think I'm going to ha(letter not working)e to giue up on new posts until my keyboard komes bak to life.

Me: My uncle had a keyboard once that broke, and he copied other letters from text on his computer and pasted them in a word document that he opened when he needed those characters.

Elanhil: 1 and a half more hours!!

Me: Actually I'm going to bed, so we'll probably only start when I wake up.

Elanhil: Oh. Ok. I think we need distinguishable balls so we know who is getting what thrown at who. So at the time of the game, I'll pick out some balls.

Me: Sounds good.

Merashath: [flies up into the air out of tynxes reach, but suddenly pulls his wings in and torpedoes down towards his opponent.]

Rahor - What are they doing? Dodgeball? What's that?

Niarah - (grabs a stray ball and whacks it into the air with her tail) Something that sounds fun.

Thysal - (gets hit between the eyes by the ball. She shakes her head, slightly dazed) Whoa, didn't see that coming.

Niarah - Apparently, you throw balls at each other, and if you get hit, you're out. Sounds fun!

Sumira - Hmm. If you say so. I'll stand back here.

Niarah - Such a recluse. (spots Eruheran) Hey, who's that?

Rahor - You don't pay attention, do you?

Niarah - So, may we join in the game?

Me - You guys are going to stay out of this one. I'm not on that frequently.

Rahor - Fine, we'll pick teams and cheer for them.

Thysal - (still a little dizzy) Sounds good to me.

Ioanna: It'd be cool to have a cat on my team!

Elkine: I'm a horse. Good enough?

Ioanna: Nope.

Elkine: ::whinnies and walks off dejectedly::

Ioanna: So, do I get to pick whoever I want to be on my team? 'Cause I want to pick Elanhil.

Anton: What about Merashath?

Ioanna: No thanks.

Tynx: [Jumps up to meet him and bites down on whatever he can reach]

Me: Hmm, I can't think of anything else he can do. Oh, Ciela! Seymour's free now.

Jek: But when are you free?

Me: Um, three on weekdays and varying times on weekends? I dunno. School's probably not gonna be too big a problem, though.

Chase: Boy, Cassie'd bbe dangerous playing.

Me: Let's bring 'er in, then.

Chase: Are you crazy?

Me: No.

CHase: Please, don't bring her here. Then I'd have to watch her, and she'll be everywhere-

Cory: Chill. She own't get hurt, unless she deliberately tries to interact with villains.

Chase: Funny you should say that. That's exactly what she'd do.

Cory: Oh.... yeah, don't bring her here.

Me: [Disappeared]

Hakor: She's off in the chat room trying to get Ciela's attention.

Cory: Why're you still here?

Hakor: I got lucky and was overlooked by Rowen. I'll cheer you all on.

Mordir: What if we're on different teams?

Hakor: [Shrugs] I'll just watch, then.

Chase: [To Rahor] Dodgeball is a game with lots of balls, lots of people, and two teams. Each team has to grab a ball and lob it at the other team and try to hit them. To win, you have to hit all of the other team's players.

Elanhil: Ok, the deadline has been reached. No more entries. You, Kendri and Ioanna will be allowed to pick Authors, based on their number of points. For example, If the first one picks an author ranked 6, the other can combine until they have six. At the end, one should have ten, the other 11. We'll keep all the characters of the same author on the same team so it doesn't get confusing. Here's the list: (whoever gets online first gets to pick first, and then you alternate.)

Elanhil: [places ball on the half-court line;motions towards the duelers] They are to the side of the court. If you throw straight, you won't hit them.

Merashath: [Merashath's leg gets torn open by Tynxes jaws, but his body weight crushes Tynx.(he can doge this, not quite sure how to word it though.)]

Me: How are we going to pull off a doge bal game? (the word doge no longer has any meaning to me.)

Me: That happens to humans when a word is used like a bajillion times.

Elanhil: It still has meaning to me...

Me: It's not like we don't understand it, it just sounds strange. And I can make it happen to you too.

Chase: That'd be bad.

Me: [Takes Mordir's weapon and puts it with the rest]

Me: Doge is in the dictionary too. (btw, who has heard of the word Zetetic?)

Me: [Drops a yellow ball with white sparkles one the line] There's the ball.

Chase: It looks like a star.

Cory: We'll have quite the array of colors.

Me: Like a rainbow.

Chase: Cool. Can't wait to play!

Tynx: [Whips tail (which stiffened into the spikiness) up, trying to get free]

Me: Oh, cool, spikiness is a word. What does Zetetic mean?

Me: I think I'm the third to get on. I choose the blue-purple-green iridescent ball I made earlier. *ball rolls to centre line*

Merashath: [finally screeches and springs up, and attempts to kick Tynx, only to get poked more] You little sneak!!

Me: So we have the iridescent ball, the yellow one, and another iridescent??

Elanhil: It doesn't matter. We have iridescent 1 and 2.

Me: Ok.

Ioanna: I think Elanhil took our ball!

Me: I'll just make a different one.

::A sea-green, white and blue ball drops into Ioanna's hands. As it turns it appears that the sea is really inside of it::

Ioanna: Coolness. Okay, so I pick everyone in my post and then Elanhil the author and character. Which makes six for me.

Ethan: I'm having second thoughts on this. Why should I be subjected to a gauntlet organized by--

Me: Yes, for you maybe. I can't throw and dislike having my head torn off because I'm not fast enough.

Me: Just for that, you're now responsible from keeping stray balls from hitting me while I watch this game.

Me: I agree, this is going to be colorful! We've got so far a iridescent ball, a fire ball, and a water ball. The three elements. Now, if only we had a earth ball and grassy ball, it'd be really fun.

Ethan: Can Mordir be on our team??

Ioanna: Fine. If the other captain will let me, then I'll take those characters. But no promises! She may want them for herself.

Chase: [Looks at the battles] What happens if a ball hits one of them?

Tesmir: Then they get hit. Most likely it won't affect Faulkner and Kimun. Tynx and Merashath-

Tynx: Tynx and Merashath will throw them at whoever started it, but the balls with explode on impact.

Me: You can do that?

Tynx: I dunno, pour a little gasoline over it and light it up, it should work.

Me: You've been in the chat room!

Me: Um, lighting gasoline on fire would be a baaaad idea, Tynx O.0

Syleh: What does it do and how can it be used as a weapon.

Chase: My dad did something like that once. He was trying to make a really big fire and practically sawed off the top of a gasoline container and threw it onto the fire. And that was the end of our compost pile.

Me: It's a good idea to make sure the fire is far away from anything else.

Ioanna: Sorry, guys. You don't have a team till Kendri says I can have you. We're supposed to take turns choosing people.

Ethan: Kendri! Please let me have Mordir! PLEASE!!!!

Ioanna: Like that's gonna work. Putting two villains like you together willingly?

Ethan: Hey. You're supposed to be taking my side.

Ioanna: Right. I'm taking the side of the person who wants to kill me. Joy.

Me: Maybe. But I'd like to keep my head.

Ioanna: Our ball is made of glass, kinda. It's a substance like glass, but it's not as fragile, and much clearer and more beautiful. Everyone else's balls are probably made out of whatever they want.

Me: Ouch. I thought rubber was bad xD

Syleh: I'll make her stay when you guys get ready to start.

Kendri: Is Tynx taken? Then can I have Lady Eruhowdoyoupronouncethat and her characters?

Tamera: When does the game start?

Me: Dunno. Elanhil, is Kendri supposed to pick enough authors so that she and Ioanna both have an equal number of players? 'Cause then there's an uneven number of players.

Kendri: Wait! I know adding. So if I have Aaron and Arionwyn and those characters, that's four, plussed with me and Mera, that makes... *counts on fingers*... seven!

Tamera: Almost, the answer is six.

Kendri: Right. So Ioanna has four teammates, and then you plus together Lady Aris' characters, and that equals... um, Mera?

Tamera: Ten. So we need four more characters to have the same number of teammates as Ioanna.

Me: Does Kendri pick more characters now...?
