Explanation of the "aura" section:
I wanted a section to show the sort of "presence" or "atmosphere" that Na'nari "gives off", if you will. (Forgive me if this sounds too new agey.) Needless to say, when you stand 3' at your shoulder, have huge claws and teeth and stare holes into everything, you're quite intimidating.

Also, Na'nari is a member of an elite group of animals who can understand human speech and respond to it. They can also direct their emotions and mental images to a human's mind if they wish; the stronger the relationship with the human, the stronger the signals. When the human recieves these signals from an animal, the human senses the animal's "fingerprint" - a combination of scents, temperature and slight color changes.

Once I get the Fierl (that's what I'm calling these animals) further developed and figured out, I'll probably start a thread on them. In the mean time, please let me know what you think of Na'nari's essence map. I'm pretty proud of it myself, but maybe it's just me.

Wow, I really like it. I like the "black lightning" metaphor. Maybe it's because I just got done reading Lightning Ranger, but I thought it was cool.

Anyway, Na'nari sounds like a really, really, really cool character. And that group, the Fierl, also sound interesting. What is the purpose of that group? I guess you wanted to hear about the map. I really like your metaphors. Very cool. You did a good job of showing us how Na'nari is, if you know what I mean. Keep up the good work. You should make an essence for Tamera. (Is that her name??)

As of now, their purpose is to be cool. I made them up one afternoon when I was bored, and they were just too cool not to include in this story.



Yes, that's her name. I'm going to... eventually. Since she's the main character, hers has to be perfect. And she's a more complex character (thanks to the Lausers' character fractalling system), so her essence map will be harder to do. But I'll do it... eventually.

That would be a cool avatar. That's almost exactly how I pictured her, just a bit less bushy around the face.
