All right, so I’ve got a character from my steampunk fantasy that needs some fleshing out—and I thought here would be a pretty good place to do it.

Name: Tymen
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Age: 23
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 145 lb
Hair: Black, short, and combed within an inch of its life
Build: Small-boned, narrow shoulders, long legs
Clothing: Round, thick glasses, brown hoodless sandcloak with mantle, long sleeves, black trousers tucked into boots with shin guards, elbow-length black gloves, all impeccably ironed, brushed, and tended
Personality--

Tymen: Oh, please. Classifying me again?

Me: Do you want your name on a placard or drawn with a Sharpie on a cute little backpack?

Tymen: *shoves up glasses* Stop trying to be funny. It doesn’t suit you.

Me: Now who’s classifying?

Tymen: You deserve it.

Me: I love you too.

All right, peeps, feel free to interview him, grill him, giggle at him, or hit the guy with pillows. He’s all yours.

Tymen: *sigh* You’re doing it again. The corny humor thing. And are you seriously putting me in there?

Me: Makes you tough. Be a man.

Tymen: I’m going to go read a book…

Me: No you’re not.

Tymen: *sits down and crosses arms sullenly*

Hahaha! That conversation had me laughing!

Me: It's nice to meet you. *extends hand*

(wait, am I supposed to wait for you to respond or write the entire conversation myself based on what I see in him?? *confused*)

Tymen: *eyes outstretched hand suspiciously* Did he put you up to this?

Me: Sorry for the confusion--I actually meant for people to respond and interact with my character, not write the entire conversation... although that does sound kinda interesting. Hadn't thought of that before--have you ever tried it?

Me: I'm not so sure how to answer that question. *begins to wonder if I can be open with Tymen* If you mean that he made me do this, then no. I was bored wanted to talk to someone. I guess you'll have to do. *puts hand down* That was rude, not shaking my hand. That's a first. << *Is thinking to self* (for the future, I italicize my thoughts)

@Fidle- Nope. This is my first time doing something like this. I should do this for my characters myself. This is a clever strategy.

Tymen: *shoves up glasses* And what made you think I'd be interesting conversation?

Me: Heh, wish I could say it was an original strategy.
Oh, and bear with Tymen--he's not as unfriendly as he thinks he is.

Tymen: And you're not nearly as witty as you think you are.

Me: Ouch. Talk about arrow to the knee. Remain composed... remain composed... *this is thought over and over again as she goes into 'irritated' mode.* Oh? Is that so? Is that because your a nerd? You certainly have the glasses for it.

@Fidle- I only get rudely witty when someone makes me mad. I'm one of those 'Won't take your poop' folks. I'm also someone who takes things personally... If I met this guy in real life... Oh boy. Stress levels would go up. *growls* Thankfully, I haven't met anyone like that. For their sake.

Tymen: *tiny smirk* I'm a thinker. Seems there's a shortage of us these days. The glasses are just a bonus.

Me:

Me: Is that so? You should meet my friend Sabrina. She's a thinker. I think you would like her. She knows how to make a debate fun. She can make up the most random things to discuss and we have a blast. It's good to meet a guy who can actually think rationally. Let's hope you're the deep thinker I envision you to be. Heaven knows how many skim-milk minded males I've met... (Hey! That's a cool description! I'll keep that one for later use.)

Tymen: People have called me a lot of things. Skim-milk is not one of them.

Me: Hey, you could throw Sabrina in if you want. The more the merrier.
And yeah, that is a neat description.

Me: No! No... I never meant to call you skim-milk. That was for the majority of men that can't see the deep meaning of things. >_>

@Fidle- I don't think my real life friend would approve of me using her. I can bring one of my characters though... Klydin.

Klydin: Sup'. How ya doing?

Me: Now I know you're not much for conversation Tymen, but this time Fidle DID put me up to this. Go rick roll him, not me. XP

Me: Ha, for some reason when you said friend I was automatically thinking it was one of your characters. Weird ol' writerly me.

Klydin: So, Ty-man, you like sports?

Me:

Tymen: *blank stare* Ty-man...

Me: Answer her.

Tymen: *baleful look at Fidle* Sports. No.

Me: Interact.

Tymen: Uh... *shifts feet* Do you?

Me: Uh... Fidle? I know that gender is hard to distinguish among dragons but Klydin is male...

And Tymen... Sports, not really. I'm supposed to be trying out for badminton tomorrow though. I'm as nervous as a mouse thinking about it. >_>

Klydin: Aww what? What's a guy gotta do to find a bro to shoot hoops with?

Me: You know what I was saying about skim-milk minded males? Klydin's one of them.

Klydin: Whatchu' say punk?

Me: Klydin, DOWN. Learn to take a joke.

Klydin: Same to you Burd.

Me: *glares* Why did I make such an irritating character?!

Me:

Tymen: *eyes dragon* Male. Gotcha. And he likes shooting hoops. How does he accomplish that with... claws?

Me: *glare contest*

Klydin: *looks away*

Me: HA! I win!

Klydin: *ignores Sea* Playing whizball isn't strange man. It's culture.

Me: Since when do you know anything about culture?

Kyldin: *growls*

Me: Need I remind you to take a joke? *playfully pokes in ribs*

Klydin: Fine. You win. Just buy my some rock chews later m'kay?

Me: As long as you control yourself.

Me: *prods*

Tymen: *reluctantly* So... what's this Whizzball thing?

Me: It's-

Klydin: The best sport eva!

Me:

Klydin: Two teams face each other on the beach see, and there are these two really small goals that we try to hit it in!

Me: It's like soccer but the players use their wings and tails instead.

Klydin: Way to make it into a science lesson Burd.

Me: You're not the witty type so don't try it with me. You need more practice. YEAAAAAAAAA!

Tymen: *pushes up glasses* Um.. I thought you said there were hoops...

Me: Tymen's a pretty good runner, himself...

Tymen: *glare* I hate running.

Me: Didn't say you didn't.

Me: Well-

Klydin: The goals are hoops. Duh.

Me: Interrupting me again?

Klydin: Since when did you talk to me like you're my mom?

Me: *smirks* Since I OWN you. *waves hand and turns to Tymen* Let's just stop this arguing. It's not doing us any moral good. Anyways, do you like biology? I do!!

Tymen: Occasionally. I prefer philosophy. Ever read The Pact of Life by Rugalt?

Me: That depends... Does it exist in this universe or your's? Personally, I like novels (I'm a writer. DUH!!!!) more than anything else. If there's a good story I like, it's fantasy (another big DUH!!). A big fat one. *coughInkHeartcough*

Klydin: I like me a big fat weev.

Me: I thought you wanted rock chews.

Klydin: Still hungry though.

Me: Males... So ravenous.

Tymen: I suppose it exists in my universe. Fantasy? Is that like... historical scrolls or something?

Me: *snigger*

Tymen: *shoves glasses up* I assume you're making that particular noise to demonstrate your satisfaction over your superior knowledge. Enlighten me, dear author.

Me: Never mind.

Tymen: Ah. *pause* I'm also assuming that a Big Fat Weev is not a book.

Me: Yes, it's a fish. And I believe that you are in a fantasy novel, so in your case historical scrolls would be considered fantasy to those of the real world.

Klydin: But I'm real!

Me: NO YOU AIN'T.

Klydin:.... Did you just quote from Spongebob?

Me: Yes.

Klydin: *irritated+slightly amused* *crosses arms*

Tymen: Sponge... bob? I'm afraid to ask...

Me: It's okay. It's not as good as it used to be.
