Through the Getting Up Earlier Challenge, I have been forced to look my problem full in the face. I can't deny it or ignore it anymore: In my life, the computer (specifically the Internet) has become my master instead of my servant. I sit, late at night, staring blearily at the screen, knowing I should be in bed but too mesmerized by the magical grip of Youtube, or Blogger, or even...Holy Worlds. Over the years, this problem has gotten worse, until I'm so sleepy the next morning that I'm useless. :P

I am sick and tired of living this way, so...
I am staying off the Internet until February 13 (unless I need to use it as a tool, instead of entertainment device).
I will complete the Getting Up Earlier Challenge while I'm gone, and try to get priorities lined up.
With the computer off, I can go to bed at a decent hour, and have more time during the day. I don't want to be useless anymore.

But I'll miss y'all. :buhbye: I might be on here a little bit tomorrow, but, after that, my Internet-free adventure begins. :D See you after that!

Hope your adventure goes well, Aemi! Take care, and see you when you get back from your wanderings. ;)

I hope it goes well, I know what you mean by getting hooked on something so you have to take a break from it, I think it's good you're grabbing it by the horns! God Bless! :D

Way to be empowered, Aemi! It's always a great feeling to know you've conquered the intense temptation after a break. (Although like most temptations they tend to strike back when they've regathered.)

Good luck to you! I look forward to seeing you back again on the 13th. ^^

Hi! I'm back. :)

I expect to be busy this week, so you can't expect to see me much, but at least I'm not completely off.

During the past week, I spent a great deal of time working at an Internet-less computer. So, ironically, I got to know my computer better. I figured out how to fix a sound problem, and learned how to add more virtual memory (which enabled me to save a video I made). Both were large accomplishments for a computer illiterate like me. :D
All in all, I think it was a good week.
