Well, try! Even if you don't have time to edit it pretty, submit it anyway! It's not like there's an entry fee. :)

My entry is coming along swimmingly, of course it was already in my head, and I only needed to word it and type it. Some very interesting things have appeared. Interesting to me.

I would like to see what stories come out of this. Yours included Suiauthon, be it late or prompt. *squints*

Tsahraf, I just remembered... do you know what happened to Jay's entry? I know he was writing one, but he never submitted. Did he not get it done before he left?

Nope, I do not know. I heard about the developmental side of it (it was incredible), nothing about its progress as an entry.

Its looking to be extremely unlikely that my entries will come in on time, given as I only have one day left. :P A crazy busy weekend got in the way.

Important Update!
There has been a deadline extension!

Your new deadline is Monday, February 6th. I am aware of several people who've written their entries, but not submitted them yet, and I'm a little worried about last minute mix ups. I'm going to be out of town the weekend submissions close, and I don't want any lost e-mails or "Oh my word I forgot" and not be here to help clear them up. I also don't want to tell the judges all the submissions are in, but not have time to copy them all over before I go.

If your submission is done, please go ahead and send it as soon as possible. If your submission is not finished, this is your chance to finish it and send it in. If you're a speedy writer and think this is your chance to enter another category, go for it.

Hmph. I did not see the Important Update because I spent all of yesterday finishing my entry. I suppose I could work on it some more and... re-enter it?

Question: Should this most recent update be posted in the Contest UPDATES! thread as well? I can post the contents over there, since Jaynin is currently away, or a Mod could copy the contents (I think). Thoughts?

Mine will be in today for sure. I just have to polish it and get a couple people to give it a quick proof-read for errors, and I'll send it in. We have till midnight, right?

Yes, you have until midnight. :D

In fact, you can have until midnight local time. If you're in some really strange, outlandish place with a weird time zone, on your own head be it. S'long as it's in my inbox tomorrow morning. I'll post here when I've officially finished everything.

I am now back, and I have replied to all the contest entries. Sometime tomorrow I'll double check everything, as well as attend to any last minute ones. Please, please double check that you got a reply including the words "real person." If you didn't hear from me today or tomorrow, let me know here, or send an e-mail to the contest address, or get in touch with me personally. I don't want anything to fall through the cracks.

Oh well. Looks like I didn't get an entry sent in.

Oh no! After all that kidnapping trouble as well! :(

Vanya, I'm confused. Do they have 'til midnight Monday night (as in tonight)?

I don't want to be a pest, but I sent mine in yesterday and have not received a conformation email. :?

I received mine, Mae, so you're not being a pest; Vanya needs to know, so you're being helpful. :)

*headdesk* Tired person here... What did I say, exactly? 'cause I intended it to be midnight last night, but if I said something else I'll stick by that.

Azlyn, could you PM me your e-mail address?

Your new deadline is Monday, February 6th

I think this made people think that they had 'til Monday, as in Monday was the last day. I'm not sure. I thought yesterday was the last day, and I had to have my entry in by Monday. Just some slight confusion I guess. :D

*Gives Vanya a hot cup of coffee*

Was the previous deadline January 31st? Then you do have until midnight tonight. I'm not changing what I told ya'll; it's just my brain being messed up by time zones.

Yay, Jon!

*Summons Sui so he can see that he can submit his story now, before midnight.*

*pitches forward and collapses on the floor* I'm done my entry, and it has been sent. ^_^ I'm officially done in from too much fretting, stressing, brainstorming and late nights. I'm not touching a Word Doc for a week at least. o.O *carries twitching self from the thread*
