Me: Looks like you've picked a fight alanhil. (And if you do fight him, the thing he hates the most is good, not evil-ness)

Elanhil: Bye my brother!

Me: I finished the last one. All of them were very good (I own them all, too). How does the style annoy you?

Cory: What? That's exactly what happened to it. It probably shriveled up like a plant does in extreme heat before it was shot.

Me: You're horrible, Cory. It's not his real name, anyway.

Spica: We kinda figured that when the clerk at the apartment building said his name was Shadow Brown.

Shadow: [Pretending not to hear]

Me: It gives the characters more personality with different names. It makes the reader know the characters are in a different world, with unusual names.

Cory: And, mine is...?

Me: A nice name. You're the only Piensorite who's got a last name, so be grateful.

Tesmir: Yeah, why is that?

Me: Because like Shadow, my creativity died. No, I don't know why I've never given you last names. But I won't be changing that.

Me: Well, it could just be that it's below my reading level--everything seemed over simplified or blunt, or illogical(I mean, the son of the first man lives to within 20 years of the end of the world.How strange is that?) But Chuck Black's over use of a couple of phrases and words bugged me. I probably shouldn't rant about it... I probably couldn't write better anyway.

Alanhil: ::shakes head:: Really, Merashath, you should get a handle on the temper. It'll work against you someday, I guarantee it.

Malchus: Watch it, kid, or your impertinence will get you in trouble!

Alanhil: I am not a kid!

Malchus: uh-huh. And neither is Luke Skywalker.

Alanhil: I don't get it.

Malchus: Oh well.

Me: Stop looking over my shoulder at my movie, Malchus!

Malchus: ::innocent look::

Me: We are going to bed now.

::shoves Malchus and Alanhil out the door::

Merashath: [deep growl] The overheated little buzzard just doesn't know who he's talking to.

Elanhil: Get that mirror out of here!!! D:

Me: It's not a mirror. It's an emoticon.

Elanhil: It looks like Merashath. I just don't like mirrors.

Me: In case anybody is wondering, mirrors exist in the west, not the east. In the east they are looked upon as sorcery.

Elanhil: [gulp]

Me: Ok, I'm off to make Elanhil's essence and draw some plants.

Elanhil: Draw some plants?

Me: Yes, I have some flowers and trees form my world I need to sketch. Let''s be a'goin. [Elanhil easily walks out door, but Merashath requires a lasso around his neck being pulled by three strong men] UGH!!

Merashath: [Clawing at ground] The annoying 'kid' went out that door!! LET ME AT HIM!!!!!!!! [vanishes through door] NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Me: Hmm. I don't think I've ever noticed that.

Cory: You like them so much everything else is invisible to you.

Me: How much longer are you going to be difficult?

Cory: I'm difficult?

Me: Yes, you are. Annoyingly so.

Cory: I hadn't noticed.

Me: Oh, and to those whom it may concern [Looks at Cory, Lorielle, and anybody else who lives in Piensor] The assassin is getting a fractall.

Mordir: What, do I have no name now?

Cory: Why him?

Me: Because I want to cool bad guy I can use a lot, and Mordir is probably among the most used.

Mordir: I"m flattered.

Me: You're not getting one until another character is finished.

Mordir: And you would that be?

Me: I character I'm kind of basing off myself, with her own personality traits besides. I've finished the first two steps.

Mordir: Five more to go.

Me: Hey, the first part is really long for me, alright? Or at least the paragraph essences are.

Me: A very old out of date one, but what is it with you guys only talking to me? There's plenty of other people that are much more like you. Merashath, you should talk to Mordir.

Cory: [Smiles] I'm glad you all find it so enjoyable.

Lorielle: I dunno how matched we are. I haven't done a lot of fighting, since Cory and the otehr guys are usually the ones saving me.

Cory: But I'm sure you'd give the bad guys a run for their money. You two go off and have a good time.

Lorielle: Anyway. A can do a little magic. Like, outdoor elements-

Me: Fire, water, wind, and electricity.

Lorielle: Is anyone else going to interrupt? But yeah, that's what I can do. Is that OK?

Mordir: [Looks at Mereshath] Hello.

Me: Aw, c'mon, you can be more communicative than that.

Mordir: Well, what else should I say?

Me: Oh for pete's sake, such talk about something! Be the social butterfly.

Mordir: I thought that was Lorielle's job.

Me: Well, now it's yours. Congratulations.

Mordir: What is it with authors?They bring in us villains, but never give us the freedom the heroes get. We're not allowed to go over borders, yet the heroes are.

Me: There we go. The social butterfly.

Cory: I will seriously use that smiley to do you harm.

Tynx: [Looks at Aaron] Why is your last name Darkstar?

Merashath: I know, authors are so annoying. See that guy over there? [points at me] He doesn't even let me attack that guy Alanhil!! It's so annoying. *shudders*

Me: ooh, a real conversation. Now it's your turn, Elanhil.

Elanhil: Me?? Who would want to talk with me?

Me: Anybody want to TALK, not duel, with Elanhil?

Elanhil: Don't embarrass me...

Me: Preferably a GIRL!!!!

Elanhil: *facepalm*

Me: I'm sorry... sorry, I know, I'm an immature little kid...but admit it Elanhil, you would like that, wouldn't you?

Elanhil: [Wanders over to Merashath and Mordir] Authors are so annoying.

Me: I could make Decia older and add her back in.

Malchus: j/k. Keep Camden. We do not need another girl, though.

Me: O-k. So, why not one of you go talk to Elanhil. How about you, Alanhil, since he's your brother.

Malchus: I'm going to rule out "thing". He's not a Wookie.

Me: I need to ban you guys from my movies.

Malchus: You can't, unless you throw us out of the computer.

Me: Good. So about talking to him?

Malchus: Fine. Elanhil, what sort of sword do you use? Do you like pizza? Do you wear tunics, or t-shirts and jeans? Do you know of a way to escape annoying authors that haven't even finished a second draft, because they are stuck developing some animal or something?

::I shove all the characters out::

Me: I think 6 AM is not the best time for my characters to be up...

Mordir: I can barely talk to the characters over on Aris's side without being snapped at.

Me: Baloney.

Mordir: We should start a rebellion.

Spica: What good would that do you?

Mordir: Get us villains more freedom. No one asked you anyway, shorty.

Saiph: Take it back.

Mordir: [Ignores]

Saiph: You little-

Shadow: Saiph, that's enough. Spica, put the pistol down.

Me: [Snatches back the pistol] Where'd you get that, anyway?

Spica: But he-

Me: I don't care what he did. He's a villain and he's supposed to be annoying. Let him start a rebellion, see how far it gets him.

Mordir: I'm not talkin' just about myself, y'know. All us villains don't have as much freedom as the heroes. Take Mereshath and Klista, for example!

Me: Do you want everyone to get hurt?

Mordir: If it would add a little adventure to a villain's life here, then yes.

Cory: How's Seymour's duel going?

Me: Nowhere.

Seymour: [Glares at me and launches a horizontal slice]

Me: There we go.

[Wow...this is going to sound really disjointed, considering I haven't been here in ages]

Carter: (@Alanhil) That's quite all right.

Robin: (@Tesmir) Everyone knows what I'm doing, they just don't care enough to help. Excluding the band, that is.
Raven: We're special!
Carter: *rolls eyes*

Raven: (@Hunter) We're all trained in medieval combat.
Me: However, one of Raven's swords (side-sword) actually wasn't in use until four hundred years after when the story is set. The other (a talwar scimitar) wasn't in use until one hundred years after the story. But I figure you can play with history a little bit more when you're using a legend. I do have characters in another story that use fencing, maybe I should bring them in.
Raven: Wouldn't that be too many of us?
Me: I might have to weed some of you out.
Raven: Not me!
Me: Of course not! You're important!
Raven: *smug look*

Marian: (@Tesmir) I'm sure your weapons skills are just fine!

Me: Wait a minute! How did we end up with inter-story relationships? (Elanhil and Alanhil)

Marian: Poor Elanhil. No one to talk to. *shoves Robin*

Me: *drags in a young girl* Everyone, this is Auraelia. To give you some background, she's from a short story that is entirely separate from Raven's. Her world is dying, and only she has a way to get out of it, and only two people can go.
Auraelia: *waves*

*there is a disturbance at the door leading to the post. The guard tries to hold it closed, but a black gauntleted hand shoves it open. It is followed by a strange figure dressed in black and wearing a horsehide.*
Me: No! *shoves him out again and locks the door* Um, yeah. Sorry. That was Gisbourne, going where he's not supposed to.

Raven: Wait a minute! Wasn't I supposed to duel someone? *whines* Isn't it my turn yet?

[Sorry, as you can tell, I'm in an interesting mood. ]

Felicia: Um, I think you were supposed to duel me, Raven. Ya know, girl against girl. But I'm kinda tired. Maybe in a few days, Monday perhaps? I need to make myself another sword, too.

Me: Wait a second! Only one sword. One. Got it?

Felicia: Yes'm... ::hangs head::

Alanhil: (whispering) you can borrow my sword!

Me: I heard that! You are going to get two daggers and a sword, Alanhil, and it'll be a broadsword. She can't lift it.

Alanhil: Fine. You can borrow my longest dagger.

Felicia: Thanks, honey.

Me: Raven o' th' Wood, what happened was that Elanhil (formerly Merashath) created Alanhil as a brother for his character Elanhil. That is, the Elanhil the character made him, and Elanhil the author fixed him up. Alanhil rescued Felicia from a dragon, and they married. Somewhere in there, he was disowned by his author, and I took him in.

Alanhil: Yep, that's what happened! She's a better author than Elanhil, though I miss my brother.

Theron: That's not nice. Nor probably true.

Alanhil: Well, at least she didn't disown me.

Me: ok, guys, I've decided you will all be going to bed early tonight. ::kicks them out::

Me: To all the authors: I start school in ten, almost nine but not quite, days. For the first few weeks, afaik, I will probably be posting less, since I'll have school and a good deal of garden work. Also, this last week before school, I'm trying to gather materials for my costume course, and make 'normal' clothes while I still have the time. (aka, before I get so distracted with the pretty costumes that I forget I'm wearing rags. ) Anyway, I thought I'd warn you, if say, I'm in the middle of a sword fight and don't show up for a few days, that might be why. Of course, it might not affect my posting frequency at all, in which case, forget I said anything.

Merashath: [flies at mordir] You misspelled my name!!! But, I'd be glad to revolt...

Me: Alanhil and Elanhil got too confusing together...I couldn't keep 'em straight in my head...so I cast Alanhil out, because Elanhil came first.

Elanhil: I use a small broad-sword, not quite sure what it's called...

Me: He can barely use it. He is a beginner.

Elanhil: As I was saying... Yes, I LOVE pizza!!! (whatever it is) and I do wear a tunic, but I have heard of a cotton material that is worn with leather chaps...And *lowering voice* If you get into drive (d:), and then hit eject, then your free from the computer on a CD, until your author finds you and sticks you back in. But it's nice to have a bit of freedom.

Me: So THATS were you've been...

Elanhil: Yeah, but since your computer only has an SD card slot and not a cd drive, it's drive (F:).

Me: Since when are you a tech expert?

Elanhil: Windows 7 comes with a tutorial folder.

Me: It does? Hmm...

Elanhil: [looks at Auarelia]

Me: [follows his gaze] No, NO!!! This is how the whole episode with the prince came up, and why I made Alanhil... No. No girls. That was just a joke earlier on.

Elanhil: [walks towards boundary]

Me: No, NO, NOOO!!!

[pile of books falls on Elanhil]

Me: I don't remember who used to do that, but it sure is handy.

Tesmir: I hear bribery works quite well with the poorer folk.

Jek: Tesmir!

Tesmir: What? It's a suggestion. I've never done it, only because Tilmere would have my hide.

Me: He'd have that for a lot of things, wouldn't he?

Tesmir: Oh yeah. And thank you, Marian.

Mordir: [Steps back warily] Sorry, sorry. I won't do it again (or at least, my author won't). Alright, we need lots of other villains if we hope to make any headway.

Spica: But even then I don't think you will.

Mordir: Again, no one asked you.

Me: I used the books on him. [Points to Mordir]

Mordir: I do have a name. You are allowed to use it.

Cory: But it's so ugly she doesn't want to.

Mordir: I'd kill you here and now if I could.

Cory: Likewise.

Raven: (@Felicia) Sure! Monday's fine! You don't need to find another sword to duel me. I don't mind using just one. Would you prefer me to use my side-sword or my scimitar?

Me: (@Amanda Kondrael) I.....see. And do you actually use Alanhil in your story now?

Auraelia: *blushes with pleasure as Elanhil walks toward the boundary, and then sighs as he disappears under the books* *catches sight of some of the titles, and immediately runs over, grabs one, and sits down to read*

Robin: (@Tesmir) Bribe them to help each other? Pardon my saying so, but that sounds somewhat warped.
Marian: (@Tesmir) You are very welcome.

Felicia: I know I don't have to. But I thought it'd be fun. Still, if Amanda won't let me have another sword, I suppose I'm gonna just have to use one. By side sword, you mean just a normal straight sword, right? Either is fine by me, anyway.

Me: No. Felicia is only nine or ten in my story as for this moment. I had to age her so she'd be old enough to marry him. So, someday when I have time I'll write a story set ten years later... but for the moment, Alanhil does not exist.

Alanhil: I don't exist???

Me: That's not even worth answering...

Felicia: I'm only nine???

Me: Another question not worth answering.

Felicia: I have a sword.

::Felicia's sword disappears::

Felicia: Uh, is that what it means to call one's bluff?

Malchus: ::laughing:: Yup.

::Felicia fixes Malchus with a hard glare::

Malchus: Hey, I didn't say nothin'!

Felicia: My point.

Me: Why do my characters always argue???

Malchus: Um.... because you made me that way?

Me: I wasn't looking for an answer.

Jek: I'm beginning to think our brother is warped.

Tesmir: Maybe, but if it's the best chance you've got...

Hakor: But then you would have the problem of greed, or jealousy. Should one man receive more than another, jealousy could be born where it shouldn't.

Tesmir: Alright, why don't you just say I'm an idiot and I don't know any better about these matters? Argh, having brothers is so frustrating. But.... I see your point. OK.... What would be a good way to encourage them to care? I mean, giving a bit speech in the square probably wouldn't be the best, unless you want to blow your cover.

Jek: Robin, don't mind his previous comment. That wasn't directed to you.

Hakor: It's his brothers who get the abuse.

Tesmir Abuse? Excuse me, I believe I'm the one who gets the abuse.

Raven: (@Felicia) This is a side-sword. Sorry it's not the best picture in the world. It's about twelve(?) inches long, and two to three wide.
Me: Hey! How'd you get that!
Raven: You have to stop leaving tabs open. *giggles*

Me: Um, it says 38 inches... but anyhow, it's a cool looking sword. Looks like Inigo Montoya's, though his might have been a rapier, don't know, never looked into it.

Felicia: Hey!

Me: What?

Felicia: You took the words out of my mouth, that's what!

Me: R-ight.

Felicia: Raven, to duel against a sword of such beauty would indeed be an honor. I will meet you Monday.

Me: And so, to get plenty of rest, you will go to bed, NOW.

Felicia: But it's only 6:30!

Me: Well, I'm going to watch a movie with my family, so scoot.

Felicia: I'm going! ::runs out in a hurry::

Cory: It's normal for them to argue.

Hakor: [Pats Tesmir's shoulder good-humoredly] It's all in fun, aye, little brother?

Tesmir: [Smiles] Aye. [Swings foot out behind Hakor and trips him] And so was that.

Jek: He knows how to maneuver with siblings.

Rowen: [Laughs]

Tynx: I wanna fight somebody! Sword and all!

Me: He's set determined to kill himself all over again, isn't he?

Tynx: [Sneaking away toward chat room]

Me: Ah, not a chance, little man. [Drags Tynx back] Stay.

Me: Maybe, maybe not.

Tynx: Aw c'mon, tell me!

Elanhil: *Gasping for breath* I always wondered how you ran out of air in a pile of books. Now I know, the pages all fly towards your face when you breath in. [spits out mothball]

Me: Climb high, Elanhil!

Tynx: Don't fall!

Me: I"m pretty sure he won't fall.

My apologies for the long wait, I suddenly ceased receiving email notifications from this topic for some reason.

"Yes, of sorts." Kimun whips his arm and the pale blade from the ground flies at Seymour. Kimun crouches and throws his hands forward, sending a column of force directly at Seymour's chest, knocking him off his feet backwards for several feet.

At least. Kimun can exert a force like that equal to the power of an elephant's charge.

Also recall that the pale sword passes through all kinds of metal (and metal alloys).

Me: Not a problem.

Seymour Easy for you to say. [Winces as the sword slices his arm.] Didn't expect that one, now you- [Gets cut off when he's pushed back. Slams to the ground hard, sending up dust.]

Mordir: Dust?

Me: Watch.

[Dust settles, and Seymour is gone, save for a trail of blood.]

Me: Dagnibbit.

Seymour: [Attacks Kimun from the side, swinging his blade with his unhurt hand, but not very well]

Me: (@Amanda K) Oops....I didn't have a ruler handy to help me estimate. I guess I should have read my own article. :P I believe Inigo Montoya used a rapier.

Me - Well, I have a new character, but now that I look at her closer, she seems more like Eruwaedhiel's Tulirans than a Felinath Elf.

Me - Felinath, it's a sort of wood elf which can shift it's shape into that of a felinian creature.

Rahor - That sounds cliche.

Niarah - Knowing her, it probably is.

(A snow drift falls on Niarah. She comes up gasping and spluttering)

Niarah - *breaths in* Ahhhhh! What was that about?

Me - Too many falling books, so I improvised.

Alanhil: AHEM. Elendil was a mariner. My brother's name is Elanhil.

Me: Shouldn't you have left that to Elanhil, the author?

Alanhil: He's my brother! I must defend his honor.

Me: I would think it'd be a great thing to be likened to Elendil, but whatever....

Malchus: Welcome, new people! Amanda, can you get that bug off the screen?

Me: What-- oh, that bug. No, I've already tried. Poor little thing, seems to like computer screens. 'Twill be it's death! (And yes, we're speaking of a real bug here, not a character or sibling)

::Felicia draws sword and assumes a fight ready stance::

Felicia: When you are ready.

Me: I won't be able to keep everyone's names straight, si neither will Hunter.

Hunter: I think he's right about that.

Aidan Romero: It might take me a while.

Me: Oops, I forgot to introduce Aidan. His name is Aidan Patton Romero, and he is 15 yers old, fences, does competitive shooting, and is not a fantasy character. I really need to learn programming so I can help with the sci-fi.

Raven: *bows to Felicia* *brings her side-sword ringing out of its sheath* *unbuckles sword belt and tosses it away* It would never do to be unbalanced! And please note, my author has only ever used a side-sword once, so if I seem awkward it's HER fault

Raven: (@Felicia) You may have the first move.

Me: (@Varon) Don't worry....I can't even remember the name of my newest character (just made him yesterday) *looks down at her last post* Oh, that's right, it's Gaillard. :P

Felicia: No, really, you should go first.

Raven: Very well. *steps forward and slashes diagonally across Felicia's chest*

Felicia brings her sword across and meets the blow with a slash of her own, forcing Raven's sword back. She uses the sword to twirl around, and ends up three feet away, sword ready, feet spread apart in a sturdy stance.

Felicia: This fight is going well.

Tirahi: It's only the second stroke.

Felicia: I'm not dead yet, am I? More than I can say of---Mmmpph!

Me: No spoilers.

Tirahi: Am I going to die??

Karanzu: Yay!

Me: I can't say. So put the swords down.

::swords fall from character's hands::

Me: Much better.

Tirahi: I have a bad feeling about this.

Karanzu: Yeah. So do I.

Me: I wish they'd stop quoting movies....

Raven: *uses the momentum of her sword being struck away to whirl it around her head, and diagonally down again (top right to bottom left (which on Felicia would be top left to bottom right))*

[don't worry....I'm not going to use only diagonal strikes! :P]

Me: Oops...I forgot to say she stepped forward. :P

Raven: *brings her sword across her body, point down, deflecting Felicia's sword. Follows it up with a left to right (Felicia's) strike across Felicia's midsection*

Felicia steps back to dodge, then ducks under Raven's sword, and catches her belt, jumping backwards into the stable--er, I mean, ducks under her sword, and stabs her midsection.

Tirahi: So, you were saying, about quoting....

Me: Sorry! I couldn't resist! I like that part.

Felicia: Wow. What a thick belt. Is it like an obi? [that wasn't entirely sarcastic, btw! Just... it's amazing that a belt can block a stab. ]

Felicia draws her sword back and gets into her defense stance again.

Felicia: Your move.

Me: Why would a sheath worn on the side be unbalanced? A good sheath doesn't do that.

Hunter: Some older medevial leather sheaths were extremely heavy and caused a minor disbalancement causing...

Me: Please don't lecture me. I start 8th grade in two days with high school courses, I have enough to think about.

Aidan: *snorts* Try going to Paladin Academy and doing their obstacle course, it has both physical and mental obstacles. Nobody's ever beaten it.

Raven brings her sword across diagonally (Felicia's right to left), and then brings it down in the other direction, making a X-shape

Cory: Seymour's lookin' pretty bushed.

Tesmir: [Pulling Hakor to his feet] Kimun's a lot better than I though.

Seymour: A little encouragement would be nice, lads. [Winces as his leg is wounded, but forces himself to stay upright.] Alright, now I'm not holding back.

Lorielle: He.... he was holding back?!

Seymour: [Uses butt of staff to ward Kimun off, clenching his free hand. Upon opening it, a ball of electricity hovers above his palm. Seymour throws it forward.] You are highly skilled, Kimun, with blade. But how are you with magic?

Cory: Don't agitate him, Seymour.

Me: With Kimun's personality (from what I've seen), it's gonna take a whole lot more to make him mad. I mean, like, a whole lot more.

Jek: If this doesn't give Seymour a better hand, loss of blood will be his enemy, not Kimun.

Seymour: I'm fine!

Me: I think he'll be OK.

Tynx: [Going wild with excitement] I LIVE!!!!!

Mordir: Ow! Keep it down!

Me: A little excited?

Tynx: I have a story!!!!!!!!!!!

Cory: You gave him a story?

Me: Yes. WHen he didn't really die. I'm having problems, though. First chapter he talks, but he doesn't have the same energeticness here.

Tynx: [Stops and looks very serious] It was a serious time. Besides, you gave me a bit of youthfulness.

Me: Yeah, but what about the rest of the story?

Tynx: I'll have two personalities: one for here, another for the story. After what happened on the airship, I gained a little more wisdom to think before I act. Therefore, I may be a little more serious.

Me: You're being serious now now. Stop it. I want you to have all the fun, young parts of you still there, though! I mean, you were completely oblivious to any sort of seriousness!

Tynx: I was not. That was to hide my fear. Do you have any idea how terrifying it is to have to leave your home, the only home you've ever lived in, for goodness knows how long, in a world you don't know?! I wasn't oblivious. Sure i was young and had loads of fun, but underneath that, I was scared! More scared than you know!

Me: OK OK, I'm sorry. Can you be your usual happy self while I figure this out?

Tynx: Alright! I'll let you worry about me.

Me: Thank you. I'll try to make you happy and young, but maybe a little more mature.

Tynx: Who says I'm not mature?

Me: I do. So there.

Mordir: Authors are cruel.

Me: Watch it, those books might come back. STick yourself into your rebellion plans.

Mordir: Fine.

Me: Sheesh, I'm arguing with a villain and a fox.

Tynx: [Runs over to new characters] Hi! I'm Tynx!

Me: I'm glad he's happy now.

Cory: Yeah, he was ready to attack you.

Felicia steps back and watches the two slashes come within inches of her with a casual air. As soon as the second slash brings Raven's sword to the ground, she attacks quickly, forcing Raven back into a tree root.

Me: There are trees here??

Felicia: I believe so. Or we could be fighting in Raven's woods. Either way. ::watches Tynx:: Poor guy.

Alanhil: Poor?

Felicia: So careless. He's gonna get himself killed in this thread, even if his author keeps him alive in his story!

Alanhil: Oh, you mean prancing off to meet armed newcomers? Yes, I agree.

Me: You know, guys, Tynx isn't a two year old. He can take care of himself. ::stern look::

Felicia and Alanhil: He isn't???? He can????

Me: Oh boy. Tynx, you have made a bad impression on these people...

Tynx: Hmm?

Me: He's so oblivious I don't think getting killed will be a problem. He'll somehow avoid it.

Tynx: I am NOT oblivious. And no, I'm not two. I don't know how old I am. Aris?

Me: Probably somewhere in the 17 area, give or take a year. His kind can live for a very long time.

Tynx: [Runs over and nudges Alanhil's leg] I'll be OK. I promise I'll be careful.

Me: Not by much. Most swords weighed between two and four pounds; a barely noticeable weight. Claymores were an exception, they weighed significantly more.

Hunter: Now who's lecturing?

Me: I am, that makes all the difference.

Aidan: *laughing*

Kimun ducks and a sharp gust of force sends the ball over his head. He leaps forward, dropping his sword. There is a sharp crack, and the staff flies from Seymour's hands to fall, cracked, a ways off. He darts in under Seymour's arm and takes him to the ground, mounted on his back.

That is kind of a bunch to have happen all at once, but it was all one move. :P

This is going to be difficult doing an unarmed fight... Kimun is very skilled in the ground fighting arts of the Elves, but it is tough to describe.

Your next post can describe Seymour's efforts to keep Kimun from doing this action if you want, or just continue on. These things are tough, because the actions aren't necessarily sequential.

Me: I'm back down off the mountain!!

Merashath: [glances up with consulting with Mordir] He didn't fall??? Inconceivable!!!

Elanhil: [sitting in pile of books, raises book to throw at Aurelia, then spotting Alanhil, throws it at him] You let me fight my own battles, you little twirp!!!!

Me: [intercepts book] HEY!!! No fighting among siblings!!! And there will be no name calling in here, you bonehead!!! Besides, I think you're making a bad impression on the newcomers. Oh wait, Newcomers!!!!

Steve: Hi!

Merashath: [looks up again] not him!!

Steve Hi!

Me: I gotta go eat. See y'all!!

Me: Can he just avoid the staff cracking?

Tesmir: [Stiffens]

Cory: Easy.

Seymour: [Gasping on the ground] You sir... are among the best I have ever faced. I surrender.

Cory: Aw, c'mon, Seymour!

Seymour: Lad, I have no weapon, my leg and arm are in pain, and I just got pinned down and my breath fled.

Tesmir: You have no idea how badly I want to duel Kimun.

Me: Let other people have a turn. You already had a duel anyway.

Tesmir: Yeah, but he cut in. [Nods to Iri]

Tynx: You would've lost anyway.

Tesmir: I appreciate the confidence you all have for me.

Seymour: [To Kimun] I am very much impressed by your skills, you have my respect.

Me: Seymour, everyone has your respect, villain or not.

Cory: Always the gentleman.

Seymour: Have you ever mentored others?

Tesmir and Cory: [Glances at each other]

Mordir: Aww, he didn't fall... I suppose it'll make it harder for the rebellion.
