As some of you might have read on my recent announcement on my blog for the Birthday Party for Holy Worlds, I started this forum out of what was mainly laziness.

Honestly.

See, back then I knew just a few different fantasy writers. Definitely not as many as I do now. Some of them knew each other (like the ones from TWE), but not all. And we all liked to tell each other about our worlds and stories. And I got tired of repeating myself.

So I thought, why don't I just start a small forum just for us to post our stuff in?

I mean, there are only a dozen or so of us, so it won't take much moderation or time. In fact, it would save time because we would all only have to post our stuff once each. Handy.

So I did. And it worked.

Too well.

They absolutely loved it (thanks guys), and I soon realized that there were more than just a dozen or so of us... because each of them had their own fantasy friends too. And they had their friends. And they had- well you get the picture.

But then, what was the problem? That I had tons of really nice people, all just as crazy as me, all passionate about the same thing as me, and all turning out great work? How could that be a problem?

So I decided to skip getting frustrated with the new project on my hands, and just got excited. And it was a good thing I did, too. God has given me, and many others, a vision for this site I never could have imagined, and He is working wonders through this community.

Holy Worlds is now one of the most important projects I have, and you people are some of the best friends I have. I love my community here, and I love the testimony and the glory you bring to God in the way you do things here.

But as you can tell, we aren't stopping. Holy Worlds is not growing just in numbers, it is growing in scope and vision. God has laid on several of us a passion for the long range future of Holy Worlds, and how He wants to use us in His plan.

God has brought together, one by one, various members of this community who have that passion and vision, and we are working together to plan and prepare for Holy World's future. We call ourselves The Council (catchy, eh?). We have each dedicated ourselves to Holy Worlds, and to the goal of furthering God's kingdom through Christian fiction (in many forms and mediums).

That includes fantasy, sci-fi, audio, books, film, and whatever else we can come up with and figure out how to make it feasible. Many things will take years to get to. Others we have already done. Others are real, real close (like that sci-fi forum sitting over there). All of them are awesome (at least we think so).

Right now we have me, Brendan Hanley (Inesdar), Jordan Miller (Seer), Tim Ward (Timotheus), Katie Daniels (Vanya Katerina Jaynin), Hannah Lenover (Hannah Marie), and Kaitlyn (Airianna Valenshia).

So that is us. The Council. And now that you know who and what that is, you can...

Umm...

Pester us with questions. * sigh * Oh well. ;)

Just kidding. We love questions, and we love to hear your input (we are, after all, here because of you). :D

There's a new announcement coming shortly, but the short answer is: we're in charge of developing and launching new HW projects, deciding the fate of existing ones, and doing lots of behind the scenes stuff like promotion, funding, and policy changes. We're the people who are in charge of each and every aspect of HW, while most forum team members run only one or two. Does that make sense?

Oh, and thanks for posting here! You just proved to the world that people actually use the library. :D

I wondered why the majority of MLs had red names.

For the longest time, the Council was HWs darkest secret. I had no idea (well, until a few months ago). But now it's public, and I appreciate the way you guys wisely lead the forum. :D

I didn't even know the library existed . . .

The very reasons you brought up, Ciela, are part of what has led the Council to take the actions it has. We want to let all of you know what is happening. You are all as much a part of the forum as anyone else. So we are now trying to illuminate some things which were, for the most part, unknown.

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Works in progress:

The Diegosian Mark, 115,600 words (Preparing for Publication)
The Diegosian Rider, 121,400 words (Finished)
The Diegosian Warrior, 15,000 (In Progress)

I fail to see, how people can notice rooms being made, rooms changing names, and even typos of rooms, but when a whole new room full of wonderful helpful information is created, indexed, announced and continually updated no one knows about it!!

Just good humored ranting there. :D

We're... working on that. We're not sure why everything is so invisible but... we're working on it. :D I'm very glad people are finally reading this announcement and discovering my library exists. :D

*coughs* Your library? ;)

I think part of the reason is that there's rarely new posts in this room. Since they're moved from Q&A once they're resolved, people never see this room's icon light up...

You know, that's very true. I didn't think of that.

I feel personally attached to our library.

I'm always browsing through the library, hehe. I'm nosey!

At least you knew to come here, Joe! If you ever want to know anything else, we've lots of other cool stuff too.

Good for you, Elanor. :D

I agree with Andrew's reasoning. People have told me they don't know what the library is. There is rarely any activity in here, and unless you are really nosey, like myself, you just don't come in here when HW has tons of new posts every day that you try to look through.
