Just out of curiousity, what are your guys' favorite colors?

And what do you think they say about you?

My favorite are Blue Red and Black

Blue: My calm mellow nature
Red: My firey personality
Black: My quiet but dangerous nature when provoked.

Blue.

:D

It covers all my natures. Dark navy blue when I'm feeling stormy or reckless. Baby/sky blue when I'm calm and peaceful. Grey/blue when I'm feeling ambiguous or quiet. It covers all areas for me. :D

I could never figure out which one I liked better, but definitely purple and yellow.

What exactly they say about me...*shrugs* I never really thought about it that much.

B-but I don't have just one favorite color! I love all kinds of colors, but mainly these:
Deep red (maroon)
Sky blue
Deep, royal purple
Bright, neon green
Dark forest green
Deep goldenrod yellow

What it says about me - I don't know... I'm a rainbow?

Black would be one of my favourite colours, and I like khaki green as well.

I must be girly. I don't really care. ^_^

Now, if we're talking about common colors in nature, it varies (which actually, you can find most colors in nature, with the most vibrant ones being in flowers and the ocean) .

Blue (the shade that editor's usernames are written in is close to my favorite shades of blue), and a nice dark green as my second favorite color...

Neil of Erk wholeheartedly supports the color blue, in all its forms, especially dark/navy blue.

In fact, I dare say 80% of my clothes are dark blue. Most of the rest has blue on it somewhere, in the form of stripes, etc.

What does this say about me? Well, someone once told me that blue is a depressing color, but personally, it makes me feel happy and dramatic. My favorite kind of weather would be stormy+cloudy+rainy+windy+on a beach+on the Northern Oregon coast+the ocean being really noisy.

Not depressing in the least. Then again, my mother calls me Eeyore and my friends have likened me to Puddleglum.

I'm also partial to dark green, as in evergreen forest+cloudly+rainy+on a mountain.

:dieshappy:

Methinks that perhaps the colors of the fantasy board are influencing are personal color choices (*coughes* blue *coughes*).

I think the reason is more that smart people like the color blue and like to write fantasy... ;) So when you get a bunch of smart people who like fantasy in one place and ask them their favorite color... :dieshappy:

I think you're on to something. Majority of my clothing is grey and dark blue. Must be the color scheme and all the subliminal messages imbedded in HW fantasy coding...

Grey, dark blue, dark green, orange, and crimson.

*chuckles * Well, black likes me best, to be honest. But don't freak out, I don't look gothic, at all, I promise. In fact, I think in my picture on my blog I'm wearing black....

But since black isn't a color, I'll tell you the colors that like me best. Browns, reds, and greens. Earth tones, basically. :D

What do you mean by black isn't a color? Just curious. After all black is what attracts the sun , so in essence wouldn't it be a color?

Black and white are, artistically speaking, not colors. I think that's silly, but that is what they say. :D After all, if I have to apply it to my art, then it must be a color. ;)

In that case, may I assume you like painting?

YES! Score :)

What do you like to paint? Oil on canvas or Acrylic or water color?

I love oils, but not on canvas. Those rotten little pores eat all my paint! ;) I also love acrylics, but I use them for more cutesy type stuff, whereas I use oils for a more realistic, deep look.

I'm dabbling in water colors... it's been interesting. Very different for me, you see.

And I love to sketch!

I also have done murals and things.

:dieshappy:

That sounds wonderful! I love the sound of the ocean hitting the shore. :)

Puddleglum. XD I may nickname you that actually.

It is wonderful! That is the only thing I don't like about where I actually live (I live in a desert steppes/high desert area, very far inland).

I hereby decree that you and anyone who wants to are entitled to call me Puddleglum. (I actually hope you will, since I've never really had a nickname on HW, which is odd considering how long I've been on here.)

Aw, Puddleglum. My mom will get a kick out of that.

I think the reason is more that smart people like the color blue and like to write fantasy... ;) So when you get a bunch of smart people who like fantasy in one place and ask them their favorite color... :dieshappy:

Possibly Rea, considering my closet consistes of blue red and black but blue being the majority. XD Plus smart people do like the color blue.

Blue just fits with the fantasy and high culture and deep intelligence you find on this forum.

Blue+fantasy=smart. It explains so much...

This doesn't mean you aren't smart! You love fantasy and you love blue.

Actually, part of the reason that I wear blue so much is that blues are much more common in the casual/semi-casual type clothes that I like to wear. And jeans are blue. Jeans are the only pants you will ever see me in, unless I am forced to wear something else (in fact, I rarely even wear shorts, jeans are just better).

There was another thread on favorite colors, but that was a poll, whereas this is more of a discussion, talking about why you like them and so on. I don't think they should be merged....

Anyways, my favorite color is black. I don't know why, and for some reason whenever I try and figure it out I have an aversion to thinking about it. But I like white and gray too -- I love monochrome. And I love dark, deep colors, and pale, pale colors.

The only blue I really like, though, is indigo. I like other colors better than blue generally.

Actually I just read that, according to some, the color blue inspires creativity, so maybe that has something to do with it...
