Greetings,

Does anyone know of good story ideas (some characters, a storyline, should it be adventure/mystery...) I am open to all suggestions, anything that you can offer is appreciated. =D

The Counsel had said it would be soon, for there were terrible forces at work in the east, so they said."

Isn't some of the fun coming up with it yourself? ;)

But if you're really bored, go write fanfic until you can come up with something original. I used to do that frequently - I had MegaMan fanfic, Lord of the Rings, the Silmarillion... some of which I might someday go back and complete to satisfaction. :)

See, that makes no sense to me. I find writing fanfic is harder than writing something original. I have original ideas pouring out of my ears. Of course, they rarely make sense, I don't know what they are until I've written something out of them, so they might not make sense to someone else.

If you like though, I can throw fragments that I never developed at you until you find something you like. I've got Farrarir the slave, the nameless child of power, the Mermaid's daughter, and they've all be collecting dust for years so you're welcome to them. But they're not exactly story ideas...

Fanfic can be hard depending on your personality.

For example, I find it harder to write LotR/Sil. fanfic than MM fanfic... because I feel quite bound to stick with realism for the former and on the latter...haha, not so much! (but there wasn't much to start with on the Megaman fanfic anyhow so I had more freedom)

I get original ideas sometimes now, but I often end up discovering that they weren't quite so cool as I thought they were... i.e. I read a book or watch a movie that has very similar concepts. :P

I find it easier to write certain fan fictions because you already have developed characters who already have background you can work with into your own desired plot line. Rather than having to create characters, worlds, politics, religion, histories, ect for your own original stories. 0.o
