 Post subject: Yet another attempt at mapping Fantasia.

Ok, so I used another program that I foolishly bought a few years ago. This one is called Fractal Terrains pro, and it uses a lot of complicated math stuff to synthesize realistic worlds.

I made this video using images exported from Fractal Terrains.


This is the flat version (I think it's the Mercator projection) that I exported as a jpg from Fractal Terrains.

I'm really thinking this will be the final draft of Fantasia's geography. I just have to figure out how to make a fantasy map out of this.

That is an awesome map, Seer. And the video of the globe spinning is very neat. :cool:

You could trace it? IE hold a piece of paper up to the screen, trace the borders, and add all the freehandish mountains and stuff that look awesome on fantasy maps... (like Tolkien's...) Scan it, and then digitize it in Photoshop or other such programs. :D
